It is a family friendly place and the kids had a great time running around, playing corn hole, bocce ball and playing in the Children's garden. To top it off, the brisket was delicious! Drinks and ambience were great but had a bad experience with the in-house food. Our fried cauliflower was frozen in the middle, so sent it back and got another order which was still frozen in the middle! For places like this, they upcharge everything because you're paying for the whole experience. Even so, I think it's worth coming back to because it has a really nice, rustic, outdoorsy atmosphere. They installed an axe-throwing component in the last few months which definitely adds a different vibe to the Creamery. When there are lots of food trucks out it's really fun, especially on the cooler summer nights. The last time I went I ordered a seasonal moscow mule. For $9 it was a bit pricey, but I like that they added their own take ... with blueberries and thyme. Overall, great place to go in the area--family friendly and good for any occasion. read more

Love this place! The atmosphere is what gives it 5 stars. Such a great, open, hip space and the staff is always friendly. They have a decent draft list although i would expect it to be bigger. I believe they have a decent wine list too, but only a couple cocktails to choose from. All in all definitely a great spot for a night out when the weather is good! read more

Hi! Yesterday was my first time here and it was an interesting experience. When we first walked in we were surprised by all the great seating areas. The vibe was very family oriented and lively. I know the whole point is to bring your whole family but so many kids were running around like crazy. One of them almost ran into me and I almost slipped on the outside stones by trying to get out of the way. I also saw a few other people almost get knocked over by running kids as well. My only other issue id that I ordered two flatbread pizzas which took about an hour to get done. When I finally got the text that my pizzas were ready, I opened the second box to find the most sad, burnt, barely any cheese on it flatbread. One part of the disheveled pizza actually looked like it had a bite taken out of it. I returned it immediately and the girl at the order window was so kind and understanding. The gentlemen at the pickup window said that it would be a long time to be able to get a new pizza. At that point I just asked for a refund instead. I would come back again but only to have a drink and to buy some chips and salsa from the food truck. They have other items on their menu but I can't imagine how that would go considering two margarita flatbreads were so difficult to make. Plus the total came to $33 with Truffle fries included. For the look and taste of the flatbreads in my opinion it is NOT worth that money!! I understand it was a busy Saturday night however to have a large, busy venue that serves food you need to be able to pull things like this off. I think they need to work on their kitchen staff and maybe add a few more people onto the food line. An hour for pizza in that condition is not cool. One of the girls at the wine truck was super friendly and helpful and like I said I really liked the vibe of the place. Great fun on a beautiful evening. Good beer choices, decent menu well executed. I had a BBQ platter with ribs and chicken- a VERY full and tasty plate of meat. Spouse's burger was good, followed by delicious ice-cream. Inside area was closed for an event but plenty of seating options in the various outside areas. Parking might be a challenge when it's at its busiest but we found a spot in the lot. read more

I am highly disappointed in the food menu here. Last year I came here and had the BEST truffle mushroom cauliflower pizza. I am gluten free and there are limited options for people with allergies. The Creamery is beyond what we were expecting. Good beer list, great food options and spacious/beautiful facility. So much room to move around both indoor/outdoor. The Creamery is such a fun place to go with friends or family! There is always an excellent selection of food and drinks, and the ice cream is amazing! The decor also adds to the experience! The gardens are so cool and the repurposed items from the old creamery are amazing! I disagree with a few of the other negative reviews- why would you have your young kids at a BEER garden at 11 at night in the first place? Tipsy people are expected at a beer garden. To complain about having your kids "harassed" by drunk adults is not really a fair statement since you left your kids unsupervised in essentially a bar late at night. The Creamery has made quite a few nice changes since last year, so I strongly encourage those who were unsure about it last year to come check it out again! There is the new addition of the Children's Garden, which aside from being beautifully decorated, provides extra seating. There has also been an age limit placed on the games center which is great because you can actually have a good time and drink without having to worry about young kids running around. I know that the whole "Children" part of the Childrens Garden may turn adults off and away from that area, however, I highly encourage everyone to go back there for the delicious ice cream! Punk'd Pineapple (used to be in the Market at Liberty Place) is back again with even more deliciousness! They have treats for young kids, adults, and even dogs! If that doesn't convince you, 5 words. I heard good things about this place but after coming here myself I think it's extremely over rated. The pre-mixed drinks and beer were expensive($7 each) and the bartenders were rude and unpleasant particularly the one girl who says to us" What do you want?" Like were bothering her by wanting a drink. They couldn't take any more orders for food as we were told they were all backed up with too many orders. The line was so long for the ice cream truck and I ended up paying 9.00 for a small melty sundae. This place can hold a lot of people so they should really step up their food game to accommodate the place being so packed. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the young guy who greeted us as we walked up to the entrance to check our id's was so nice and welcoming that he was the only redeeming quality of this establishment. read more

I realize that to the majority of eyes reading this review, the prospect of heading out to Kennett Square is daunting. It's a hike to be sure. Even for me, living in the western burbs, it took around 45min without any traffic. But please, if you love beer , if you love relaxing in a comfortable environment, if you love communing with people in the outdoors, if you love yourself...you need to make the trip out to The Creamery. And quite frankly, the drive out was lovely and pretty much a straight shot right down Rt 1. Furthermore, if the distance has you second guessing a trip, I'd add that there are a plethora of reasons to hit this section of the Deleware Valley; Longwood Gardens, The Brandywine Museum, Kennett Brewing Co, etc, etc, etc. But enough of telling you why the area is great, let's talk about The Creamery. While I did use my GPS to find it, it's not to far off of the beaten path. It lies in an almost residential neighborhood in what was an old dairy farm (hence, the Creamery) I was surprised how sprawling the area was. There is a lot of space to move around, sit, play games. The bar area is shaded and cool. They gave really gone out of their way to make this space accessible and family friendly, and the People of Kennett Square seem to be coming in droves. The beer selection was fantastic and affordable, which is no surprise for the people behind The Institute. There were some wine and liquor options as well as a few food trucks and their own food service. The whole experience was just very positive and refreshing. This place is a do not miss. While they are in talks for keeping it open year round, for now, you have into the early fall to get down here to enjoy a beer garden at its finest. read more

The Creamery, aka, the bar where you can hang out with your kids, is an interesting concept that was pleasantly surprising to me. I didn't know what to expect, but it is decorated quite lovely and has a friendly atmosphere and lots of dogs and children running around. There are various food trucks on site and a nice selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. The cocktails are very expensive, but look good. I usually stick to beer. The beer on tap tends to be warm unfortunately, and served in a plastic cup which isn't my favorite aspect of it, but I do like there canned selection and they have entertaining musical acts! The building is very cool and I feel as though my entire family could go and have a good time from the oldest (70) to the youngest (2). The first time we went there, there was a man who was selling Husky puppies and he brought 4 of them to pass out around the place. I mean, come on!!! Puppiesssss!!!! This place is a hidden gem! A truly great experience from the first moments you walk through the courtyard down into the main dining area. The ambiance is inviting and leaves you wondering how can I make my backyard look like this! Had heard this was a neat venue so went last night to check it out. The concept was great, but was disappointed to learn the only beer they sell is craft beer for $7/cup. Not everyone is a fan of craft beer. How hard is it to have a few brands of domestic beer available in a cooler? Also there were a lot of people with dogs, making it hard to walk through without getting tangled in a leash. Very disappointing overall. Will not be going back. read more

This is the nearest little bar and restaurant. So many different seating areas, outdoor games, fire pit, tables & chairs made from trees, three separate bars. I haven't tried the axe throwing but i will! The food from the Creamery was good, but a little overpriced for the small portions. They've also had two different food trucks both times I've been there, and live music once. This is a great date spot, place to take kids if parents want to enjoy themselves too, and a great place to hangout with friends in the nice weather. Highly recommend! read more

EXTREMELY beautiful beer garden. It's only seasonal so make sure you stop by during the summer. The food trucks are always changing up on the weekends whole still keeping the one signature creamery truck. There is ice cream and soft drinks for children. A huge variety of 16+ beers on tap while around 100 canned beers! Not to mention a huge wine and cocktail variety ad well. Bands come and play live Friday-sundays and there are always some local events going on! Definitely come by and enjoy a memorable experience while being taken care of by one of the kindest staffs you'll ever meet! read more

I Ordered the half pound brisket and fried pickles. My wife ordered the half pound pulled pork and Germqn potato salad. About 10 minutes later the beeper went off. When I got to the counter they said they were out of fried pickles would I like something else. I said OK how about another German potato salad. Another 10 or 15 minutes later the beeper went off again. Thinking the order was ready they said they were out of German potato salad but had found some fried pickles? I said no, my wife doesn't care for them could I get 1 baked macaroni and 1 fried pickle? About 10 minutes later the order comes out on a plastic tray with a paper on it and although the pickles, baked macaroni and pulled pork are in paper baskets the greasy brisket is just dumped on the paper. I asked why and the server said "Oh would you like a basket?" I said Really? Not even on a roll just dumped dripping on the tray liner. I said how about a roll to which the counter server places a Bun roll next to the brisket on the paper. WTF? Even though it was just counter service I tipped 18% when I made the purchase (before getting food). The brisket was actually good; moist and smokey and my wife said the pulled was also pretty good. The baked macaroni was butter forward, not very cheesy and mediocre. The fried pickles had virtually no dill or any real pickle flavor and tasted more like over salted greasy zucchini fries. There's no table service. I think I'm crossing this place off my list. read more

We have been to the Creamery a few times now and for the most part have had a decent time, up until tonight. We were hanging with some new people we had met there and apparently there was an underage girl in the mix. A bartender/bouncer came over and told us we all had to leave (we had just bought a fresh round of drinks) because he had seen the underage girl (who I did not even know) drink. Would not let us finish our drinks. Told us to get out using explicit language. I didn't know the girl, so to be told to get out in that manner when I had nothing to do with the situation left a seriously bad taste in my mouth. Good luck getting millennials to frequent with that attitude. FYI- They close at midnight, but last call is at 11:10 and the live music stops shortly after that. read more

I went here the other day with my mom and absolutely loved it. Cool space, several bars and plenty of outdoor seating. The selection of beers on tap was interesting and diverse, I think I may have found a new favorite here! However, when I returned the next day with family we arrived around 7:45 and were notified they closed at 9 - no problem. We noticed we were likely the last customers and figured it was no big deal since we had a little over an hour. However, by 8:20 the music went off, chairs were being stacked on tables and we were made increasingly more uncomfortable with several employees staring in our direction. With all of us feeling uncomfortable we got up and left and said thanks to the bartenders. Ultimately I would love to come back but I was a bit put off with how we were treated as the last people in there.
