Onsite there are a variety of large tortoises in specialty spots enjoying their environment. At the end of the garden, there is a nursery where plants can be purchased along with gardening trinkets. For the value, this is one to not miss! I've been coming here for years since I was a little girl and I enjoy the fact that Moorten sticks to their roots and have kept the layout the same allowing me to feel nostalgia each time I visit. It's almost impressive how claustrophobic he made FOUR ACRES of land feel! And the "art" he's so pretentious about? Give me a break. It looked like something a bored middle-schooler slapped together during detention. Nothing meaningful, nothing profound! It's all just crude, sloppy garbage with peeling, crusty paint jobs that looked like they'd been rotting for years. Honestly, the only impressive part was how consistently awful everything was. Then this clown has the audacity to pressure us into buying something. For what? His cheap resin and 3D-printed knockoffs that probably took him two hours and negative talent to make? And he's charging $75 to TWO THOUSAND dollars like he's some tortured genius instead of a delusional hobbyist? Please. When we Venmoed him a $25 tip, he got mad, as if that was some personal offense. He said, and I fucking qoute, "Way to take the easy way out." Like, dude. NO ONE WANTS YOUR SHITTY "ART." And the cherry on top? His attitude. He strutted around like we should be grateful just to stand in his hoarder-level hazard trap and gaze upon his trash-tier "creations." The home is large and sprawling-- offering plenty of tucked-away areas for privacy and quiet, as well as grand communal areas for gathering the entire group together. Extraordinary grounds-- including a beautiful pool, tennis court, open grassy area... and several water fountains, with sweet hummingbirds that visit frequently. Not happy with our two night stay here!…read more I wondered why a beautiful hotel like this was getting such bad reviews. Upon first entering we were greeted with a friendly staff. Our check in took longer than expected. Not sure why since it should've been a quick one. The hotel and our rooms were beautiful. Very unique and well kept. The promised mini fridge that never arrived. On our first night, I was woken up abruptly from my sleep around 6AM to loud music and people talking outside our bedroom window. When I looked out our window I saw the cleaning crew was making this noise. There was no event. I called the front desk and spoke to Danielle. She said she will have them turn it down. Turn down the music? There was no event. I asked her to please have them turn OFF the music. I can't imagine I'm the only guest who could hear them. Our room, albeit beautiful, was right outside the loud HVAC unit. But I was tolerating that. Yet the constant talking, whistling and loud shuffling of plates and utensils and rolling carts still continued. Even after 20 minutes, the music and noise hadn't stopped so I called the front desk AGAIN. Eventually they turned off the music but the talking and all the other noises didn't stop. I can't imagine I was the only guest on our floor and facing the same area who wasn't affected by this. Ironically 30 minutes later they began playing the music again! You know when you wake up abruptly and develop a headache? Well that's what happened. And to think this is how my day began the day of a family wedding and I'm wondering will this happen again the next morning! And YES, it happened on our second night again! This is the night of the wedding when the evening ended at 1am and yet again, at 5:30am on Sunday morning I was woken up to the sound of music again accompanied by relentless vacuuming. This time when I called the front desk no one answered. ARE YOU SERIOUS? I don't know why they need to be playing music at this hour knowing they have guests who are sleeping. And to pay almost $500 per room per night-AND we have two rooms next to each other-this is unacceptable! I called the front desk again at 5:45 and Jose answered. I explained to him what happened two days in a row and that I don't understand why they need to be blasting music this early. He was very apologetic and told me that he will have them turn down the music and I asked him to have the manager Jose or reach out to me. That morning, I did meet Jose and although it was nice for him to credit us a "little" for the inconvenience this is definitely not a hotel I would ever return to in the future. Not worth the hassle, stress, noise or inconvenience and definitely not worth the money! I've been to many high end hotels and many in Palm Springs but I will be sure never to stay at the Parker again!

Free to visit and you can enjoy the cactus garden and wander around the gardens. Museum and gift shop as well as cafe is on sites. But this visit, we took the tour of the Annenberg property. Tour is about 90 min and about 60.00 per person. They do recommend you come a little early to view and enjoy the main building where the cactus garden was but we were a little behind and made it right before the tour started. The tour host 7 person per guided tours. We start off at check in and then met with our guide, Hema. At the beginning you start off on the golf carts where your guide gives you an introduction to the family and the property. The gate into the main residence is around the corner from the public property. It's amazing to see how someone turned a barren desert landscape into an oasis. The brief cart ride to main door was quite nice. A massive golf property hidden in the desert. Once you approached the main property, it's welcomed by a massive water feature. A knock on the double doors lead you into the lobby of the house. Just walking into the property, it's a true MCM oasis. To find out the property only has just the primary bedroom was insane as it was massive. Theres no picture allowed inside but outside was fine. Hema, very detailed in everything she explained was very sweet and detail oriented. Walking through the different rooms and seeing all the amazing things collected by both Walter and Leonore Annenberg was quite interesting. The office which house all of Walter's work, pictures of family, friends and political figures. The different room that's in the main house, their amazing artwork which some are the original pieces. Then you have the way they lived, very elegantly. Each room had their own unique style. The designer and architect sure had their hands full with detail designed of everything on site. The furniture, one of a kind design with amazing embroidery. Walter had an amazing collection of artwork and sculptures. Seeing them throughout the house and the way it was displayed in different room of the house was spectacular. Even the kitchen was nice. Still fully functional as it's still used for summits. The outside alone is one in a million. The massive property with many lakes that is fully stocked for fishing. The golf course which is a golfers heaven. And then you have the pool with a million dollar view of the mountains as the backdrop. Not only the main house, there's the guest house which is utilized for guest. And they're know by different color rooms. And by that, it's fully decorated in the color palette. That building also all looks out to the pool and mountain. Leonore, with her favorite color yellow also had a rose garden designed in the property. The tour lets you inside the lives of the Annenberg and the amazing lives they've lived. Housing major political figures, celebrities and the amazing parties had. The massive art collection and endless photos of everyone, it was a sight to see. This is a tour worth checking out and learning about the Annenberg. Plus, Hema our tour guide was excellent.

The tours were either sold out or had one spot available. There were 2 of us. I would recommend purchasing tickets online before you arrive to Palm Springs because of the popularity of the tours. You cannot purchase tickets by phone, email or in person. There are no waitlists either. We walked among the garden area, visited the small but great gift shop, watched the movie about Sunnylands and viewed the current exhibition. The next time we're in the Palm Springs area I will definitely plan ahead and purchase tickets way in advance.
