Cree Estate is a magical place. Had our wedding here a few weeks ago and it was such a great weekend. All of our guests loved the grounds, they are really the perfect setting for the weekend. Thies and Brandon, the property managers, are very cool dudes and were just super easy to work with. Cathedral City has some pretty rigid rules, but Thies told us how to set up our speakers to be loud enough for a good time without breaking any city ordinances. During our stay there, we used pretty much all of the grounds throughout the weekend. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and the dinner/reception were all held in different areas. Some of our friends played tennis in the morning, and we used the big pool and hot tub as well. The smaller pool was pretty cold as we were there in March, but heating the big pool was definitely worth it for our Saturday, post-wedding pool party. We did not have any issues with the plumbing, it was great having our friends stay with us for the weekend, and again, Thies and Brandon were excellent to work with. Highly recommend this place if you want to make your wedding a weekend affair to remember. Hopefully we can book this for our 10 and 20 year anniversaries. Thanks again. read more

What a hidden gem! My friends held their wedding here, and let me just say it's given me ideas to plan an event at Cree sometime in the future! Cree Estate is tucked away a little outside of Palm Springs in a property that boasts in lush trees and greenery. If I was blindfolded and brought here, I would think I was in Costa Rica or some other tropical destination. The wedding party got to enjoy a few nights' stay in the houses of this property while the guests stayed at nearby hotels. The houses are charming with rustic furniture and comfy beds. We loved the main pool with all the inter-tubes; just what the doctor ordered the day after the wedding! The bride & groom brought in a dj, bartender and catering service they knew. I guess they had Soho Tacos catering the night of the wedding, which I love! Wish I had known. It would have probably helped me out the next morning! read more

Wow! Is all I can say. We were in Palm Springs for the wedding of my husbands good friends son. (Yes that's a mouth full). We were told that it was best to Uber, Lyft or taxi over due to terrible parking. As our driver turned left, right and then a final right going up a dirt street with construction that said Uber drop off. I was a little skeptical. I was in all black and had to walk in dirt. We were greeted by a friendly lady who said you are in the right place. Thank you for coming and you can head over to the bar for a cocktail prior to the wedding. Enjoy the property until the ceremony starts. Once past the dirt and concrete and food truck, it turned into something I can't even explain. this amazing. Wait. Did I say amazing. This breathtakingly gorgeous green back yard??? Came into view. Trees, little alcoves, chairs, pools and spaces. I'm not even explaining it correctly. It was BEAUTIFUL! I never even saw the house if there was a house. Just all yard with it's 2 pools in different locations. Happy face! It was a beautiful wedding. read more

I got married here a few weeks ago. I was so excited about this place but was quite disappointed in multiple things. First, everything in the house is very old and run- down and dirty. The floors were gross. Nothing has been upgraded in years.... They have a huge plumbing issue. We were blamed for the plumbing issue, but I know that it was not us. The entire day of my wedding the entire house smelled like sewage. It was awful. My wedding coordinator said that this was not the first time that this had happened when she worked there. For 11 thousand dollars this place is absolutely not worth it. Be weary. They also have neighbors that hate music, so the rules about noise are very strict for a wedding. read more

We were married at the Cree Estate in March 2016. We worked with Sylvia and Thies, who were both lovely, kind, and quick to respond to questions. This is the only wedding venue we found that does a 3 day rental! Not a 12 hour rental! So we were able to do our rehearsal dinner, our wedding, and our Sunday brunch all in one location, and all for one rental fee, not 3 separate fees. Also, the venue has guest rooms included in the rental price, so our parents and bridal party stayed at the venue and didn't have to pay for hotels. The venue is a blank slate - this could be a good or a bad thing depending on the type of event you are planning. They do not provide anything, so you have to rent EVERYTHING. You rent tables, chairs, linens, and you "build out" the caterers kitchen as well. The good news is you get to personalize your wedding and work with the vendors you want, which is great!! But the bad news is you have to take the time to organize all the little details. The one bad thing is that the lighting is not included in the venue, you have to rent that as well. Our Sunday brunch was a pool party - because it would be a shame not to use that gorgeous salt water pool!! And our families enjoyed it so much they said they'd like to rent the Cree Estate again for a family reunion. I would give Cree Estate 10 starts if I could!! This place is bitchin'! Seriously... bitchin', bitchin' bitchin'! I stayed at a hotel, which was about a ten minute walk from the Cree Estate, but I spent a lot of time here seeing that it served as home base for a wedding that I was a part of this past weekend. Perfect venue for hosting a large group with a rustic and casual vibe. Want fancier options? This place cleans up very well too! Property highlights: - Two pools. We didn't use the back pool too much but the main pool got a lot of action. - Cannonball! Yes, the main pool has a diving board with what we estimated to be about 15 feet deep. Hell, go for a double back flip. - Parking. Seeing that there were 75 guests plus staff at the wedding parking just outside of the main gate was clutch. - Seclusion. We needed the privacy and took full advantage of it. Pool time till 3:30am? Duh! - The house sleeps a small army. Five bedrooms and six bathrooms, I believe. - Lots of common areas. The wedding I attended utilized the entire property with lawn games such as cornhole, horseshoes and croquet and the groomed green grass. The list could really go on, and on, and on, and on... My exact quote to the bride and groom: "Do you guys care if I totally steal your idea and throw a wedding here when I find a girl silly enough to marry me?" Clearly I am a fan. read more

I know I'm not the first person to hold my special day here, and I won't be the last. Yet still, I took a moment before penning this review. I want it to exist as some magical dessert secret, not a party factory. But whatever, here goes... This place is in my top five favourite places in the world. Two pools, two hot tubs, five bedrooms in the main house, two guest houses all on a huge well-manicured property. It's the perfect place to hold a special occasion or cut loose with 15 friends for a long weekend of swimming. The big pool has bar stools, and if you live in California and your pool doesn't have a swim up bar, it will forever seem inferior to me. I'll scoff and mutter "kiddy pool" under my breath. OK, this won't happen. But the big pool here is just so, so fun, and the nicest private property pool I've ever seen. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has all the things you need and the AC works. In terms of house rentals, what more could you need? The property owners are relaxed, easy to work with and don't care to know about what's going on on the property as long as you hire professionals for things like catering. You pull up, they give you the keys and one final tour and disappear. I can't say enough wonderful things about this property. I can't wait to return! My husband and I got married here back in 2010. Amazing venue and instead of just paying for 8 hours, you can spend the same amount of money and get an entire weekend! We had our bridal party stay here with us and held our rehearsal dinner here on Friday evening, our wedding on Saturday evening and on Sunday evening we had a pool party with a taco and margarita bar for our close friends and family. Being able to bring our own caterer and florist cut costs substantially. I would highly recommend this location for a wedding. We will definitely be back to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. read more

Wow what a place, what an experience, what a treat. We were married here on 4-4-15 and this place helped make our special day spectacular! Due to the fact you rent this venue for multiple days, we could setup, relax, enjoy the pool and basketball court before the big day. Thies was super helpful in letting us know all about the place and we never had a problem. Our guests raved about the venue and I think left feeling very jealous they didn't think of using this place. We are now trying to figure out a way to rent this place for future family get-togethers. I recently hosted a wedding here for 130 people. All the glowing reviews are true! The place is absolutely stunning. It's hard not to be blown away. We were on a serious budget, but no one could tell, because this place is a steal at the price they charge for it! The property managers are great to deal with as well. There are noise restrictions, but this is throughout the entire Palm Springs area, not just the Cree Estate. I'm already planning some kind of anniversary party, just so we can have an excuse to return! i'd give 10 stars if I could! read more
