You had me at "vegan crepes." And yes, that's plural, meaning more than one, vegan crepe on the menu here. I did have to ask to make sure there was no egg involved based on the soft, perfectly thin pancake sheets that arrived on my plate, if you're worried that the quality might suffer from the conversion. Rest assured, both the Ratatouille and Fajita can compete with the best of them. The only question now is if you would prefer savory and comforting, or spicy and invigorating. They don't hold back on the smoky chipotles for the fajita veggies, so beware for those with lower heat tolerance! I will admit that the "ratatouille" felt more like marinara, missing clear evidence of eggplants, zucchinis, or peppers, but a lovely tomato ragu all the same. Excellent value, too, since you get a nice little fresh side salad and decent portion size for $12.50 plus tax and tip. It's a cute cafe that's hopping during weekend brunch, but still has plenty of seating and space for a leisurely meal. Definitely worth repeating, any day of the week. read more

We didn't die, but I can't recommend this place. The Sign on the Door says HELP WANTED. Eating at a restaurant that is short staffed is always risky. But in this case, they may need some help from someone who can teach them the fundamentals of running a restaurant. * * * This is a crepe place but they have an extensive menu of other items. In fact, the menu is huge, given the small size of the establishment and the relatively small amount of business they get. This means that a lot of their perishables are going to go bad unless they use a lot of frozen ingredients. If they use frozen ingredients, they need to figure out how to defrost those items quickly. (This is foreshadowing.) It also means if they are short staffed that there will be many items that the cook has not fully learned how to prepare due to lack of practice. (Foreshadowing.) * * * There was a very amateur cook in the kitchen our night. This being a creperie, a typical order would be serving the savory crepes first and the sweet crepes second. The sweet crepes are usually dessert. We ordered a savory crepe, a sweet crepe and a sandwich with french fries off of the sandwich menu. The cook, being pressed for time, cooked all of the crepes first, and then made the sandwich and the fries. So we got the dessert crepe and the main course crepe at the same time. So we either had to eat them both at the same time or one of them had to get cold waiting for the first crepe to be finished. While we were struggling through the crepes, The bacon pesto chicken ciabatta came. That had to sit while we finished our crepes. So by the time we got to our "main course" after "dessert", The fries were stone cold and soggy. The sandwich was leaden. The ciabatta might as well have been a cannonball. The room temperature chicken and bacon were okay as long as you avoided the ciabatta. * * * The room is not a pleasant place to sit in. Some of this is not the owner's fault. They are right at the intersection of I-35 and I-45/Hester's Crossing. Giant concrete highway ramps dominate the view. The rest is parking lot. * * * However, the owner makes things far worse by having large TV screens that display commercials for why you should come to his restaurant. So a wide variety of menu items are displayed with the TV urging you to Come and Try This! Come and Try That! Come and Try the Next Item! How About This Item? * * * Advertising is supposed to bring customers into your store. If they are already in your store, then you do not need more advertising. Once the customers are IN your store, you need to try to give them a pleasant wonderful experience, so they decide to come back the next time. No one goes out for a night on the town to watch commercials for the night club that they are in. * * * Plus, if it is irritating to watch commercials, It is 400 times more irritating to watch the same commercial on a loop being repeated over and over and over and over and over again. Repetition kills the charm of whatever you put on the TV the first time. * * * Back to ingredients coming out of the freezer. My sweet crepe was a mango crepe with some other minor flavoring. Mango is a fantastic thing to put into a crepe. The crepe we got was 1/3 frozen, 2/3 cooked. * * * When I pointed out the frozen mango to the waitress, She was sweet and kind and lovely and sympathetic. She gave us a free banana muffin to compensate us for our woes. * * * This is not a bakery, so undoubtedly the muffin was brought in from an outside provider. It was awful. It had a bad chemical taste that probably came from using low grade artificial banana flavoring. Either the muffins came from an associate of the provider, or the muffins were selected because they were relatively cheap. On baked goods, you get what you pay for. * * * I suspect cheap, because inappropriate cheapness also showed up in the furniture. The chairs are upholstered golden fabric Middle Eastern chairs with a flocked texture that were undoubtedly were beautiful once. The store has only been open a few months, But those chairs were showing the signs of years of wear and tear. I am fairly sure those dingy chairs were purchased used. The chairs were the first thing we saw. First impressions matter. * * * I hope the owner learns from his experience when he opens his second restaurant. His first restaurant won't last long. read more

A week ago, me and my girlfriend had a really bad experience at this place. It started with the loss of attention of one the servers who brought food to go, when I ordered dine-in. I could how mad this person got going back to the kitchen and then bringing the dishes and throwing the silverware towards my girlfriend! HOW RUDE!!! It just tells me that somebody doesn't really want to work! Chairs and table sets are beautiful, but not for tall people: I had a hard time sitting down. Food quality: in the picture the crepe's dough texture can be seen as like a cream cracker, not an actual dough. By the way, it was also overcooked. We didn't have the whole thing, because it tasted really bad! Nevertheless, it is so unfair to pay it up front with tip, and then have a bad experience afterwards. However, they did keep all of the same furniture and the setup and when I did pay it still said that it was tulsifine dining Indian cuisine. So I am pretty sure it's just the same owners and they rebranded with a new franchise. I put in my order on the self-serve kiosk but the gal at the front was very friendly and helpful. I got a pistachio iced latte which was good. Nothing wowing me but it was decent and then I got a savory crepe that had eggs in it and hollandaise sauce. My Fiance has been wanting to try this place so we went this afternoon. I like you that you get to order from one of two kiosks but there was also a girl working who was very friendly and helpful. We bought the Iced Biscoff Latte, a Tres Leches Crepe, a cheesesteak Crepe, a Raspberry Brie Croffle, and then 10 sea salt caramels to go (they were only .50 cents each). The food took maybe 5 minutes to come out and the coffee came shortly after. All of the food was really good but I think my personal faves was the croffle. The only negative of the entire meal was the cheesesteak meat was kinda chewy but it was still pretty delicious. Nowhere to get your online order for pickup and had to hunt someone down for it who went behind the curtain and came back a little while later despite that it was 10+ minutes past the pickup time. But the app constantly just said order placed and gave a time that it would be ready We finally went up to the counter to ask about the order at the time that it said it would be ready. It had been sitting up there bagged to go and sweating for some time. The food isn't really good "to go" food. I ordered eggs over medium and they were solidly over hard maybe from sitting in the container. There wasn't a place in the app to let them know we were there waiting. The jams at the table were dried solid so I had dry toast. They have a selection of muffins in the case which appear to be Sam's bakery muffins. Casual and cozy cafe! Pretty quiet in here so it's perfect for some focus time. The crepes here are really good and they have lots of variety. My favorite is the Nutella crepe!
