I can't say enough about our doctor!! She is so amazing and we love her like no other! The time she takes to care for my pips is the best. You would think that Piper was her dog! I will not ever leave for another vet! Dr Silveria is who you want to care for your fur babies!! Nothing but love love for her and her staff!! They all rock!!

I will never support this Vet after the incident today. I and another gentleman were Good Samaritans for this little chihuahua dog that was hit by a car and left for dead. I took the responsibility of assuming care for this little dog. I came to Critter Care since it was the closest vet to the scene of the accident. The dog was bleeding with a broken leg but still alive. Upon arrival, the receptionist first went to the back where I suppose the doctor was. She came back and let me know they could not care for the dog. She stated the Vet had "zoo clinic". I pleaded for them to help this poor dog in pain. She referred me to an Emergency vet in Corona (it's Friday before noon) regular business hours. I drove to the emergency vet and shame on them as well for trying to refuse care until I told them the owners would be there. SMH....This is DESPICABLE practice...refusing to help the sick and maimed. Shame on you money grubbing Veterinarians.

Not exactly Happy with the veterinarian service I received from this location. It has now been two weeks since I had initially gone in for a concerning issue with my Amazon parrot. Saturday Dec 4th everything seemed to go smoothly, check up, x-rays, bloodwork all done. Blood tests came back pretty fast, Although I had to call them for the results. A doctor didn't explain them to me, vet Tech did. I decided that I wanted to get a fecal examination because I wasn't exactly happy with the results. I went in the following Monday and dropped it off. At this time they had known my parrot had arthritis in his feet, he was slightly dehydrated and possibly had a vitamin A deficiency. I was hoping for some anti-inflammatory meds and yet none were given to me. Had I have known at this time the Chase for just getting answers would be so tough, I would have demanded meds at the time I was there. After this It just pretty much went downhill. The fecal test was sent to me but no one was able to read it to me. So I'm looking at this paper for a couple days wondering what the hell is wrong with my parrot. I'm asking questions on Facebook asking my friends that know how to read blood work. ( freaking out because that's what the Internet does) All in all I keep calling and asking if someone can read them for me. Every day someone says, the doctor will be in tomorrow. Call in the next day, the doctor won't be in until 9 o'clock the next day. I called that day, waited, no one calls. Finally Dr. Megan calls me on Friday ( 6 days after ) around 4 o'clock ( Dec 10) she informs me of everything that's going on, confirms that she feels that there is nothing too concerning but she will be calling around to my local area for pain med pick up within the hour.. Friday comes and goes, 6 o'clock rolls around, still no call... they're now closed. This went on for a couple days of me having to call the office to see what's going on. Finally on Saturday I got so fed up but I ended up going to an emergency room in San Diego (2 hours away) because my parent was still showing signs of distress. He now had discharge coming out of his nose and was still falling off his perch. I had to demand the x-rays be sent to me at this point since I was going to be visiting a new location... mind you, I had called every day for those x-rays trying to be as polite as possible. They apologized saying they were unable to send the actual x-rays & instead sent screenshots, which were unhelpful since they were unclear. It is now two weeks later, December 18 and I have still yet to receive a location where I am to pick up the meds. This is after repeated Calling from the 13- 15th talking to Multiple employees on the phone Assuring me that they are working on it and they'd get back to me. The bottom line is, all my animals are family. I would do anything for them and pay anything to get them better. Two weeks is considerably too long to wait for anything. It is not my job to track stuff down, it is the job of the vet that I paid for services... $400 turned into $800 because I had to turn to someone else. The Emergency Vet that I went to in San Diego quickly did everything that I needed the same day of visit. Sadly I had high hopes, this location was recommended but will never be returning again.

I didn't call prior to coming (in shock still from the attack) and luckily, they were able to evaluate my Patches. Entire staff were attentive, empathetic and very helpful. Hopefully, no more visits like tonight. (Arrived around 6:30pm.) Would recommend.

I've stayed with them 5 years because I can get my pet's records online which is incredibly convenient and the staff (not the doctor) have been so awesome! Every visit I get the vet -- I can't figure out why she went into this field. It's like she doesn't even like animals but when I think I am done with them I get to see someone who actually seems to care about pets or I get the sweetest most caring vet tech and I just stay because of them. I can't even begin to describe the staff as they make you and your pet feel really cared for versus the veterinarian making you feel like an inconvenience. When we saw our cat's quality of life turn for the worse after other vet visits (losing control of her faculties in her bed, not eating or drinking), I decided to take her Atlas because I already an account there and figured we could trust them with our final decision. I couldn't understand why the vet was so unhappy with life that day. She flicked and poked at my sweet cat and wanted to stabilize her when I already went through tests and scans (and brought the paperwork). To top that off, I asked for a paw print before she was cremated but they mistakenly cremated her before doing that. I couldn't waste my energy even getting angry because we can't bring her back, but unfortunately, my daughter was waiting for this keepsake (my daughter has been wearing the cat collar as a bracelet ever since we had to euthanize) so another sort of grieving in the house for us. The staff apologized and gave us a refund. 5 years I've stayed with Atlas because of these mixed feelings with the vet versus the staff. I am sorry to let go of the staff who have always been so kind, courteous, and empathetic. My whole family and I are super glad we won't have to see this veterinarian again. I hope we can find another facility to take my two dogs.

I started bringing Ruby to AMCC in the spring of 2023. She had developed a wheeze and had been suffering hind leg pain since injuring her knee in 2021. Dr. Hymes diagnosed Ruby's wheeze as allergies and her hind leg pain as osteoarthritis. She suggested considering monthly shots of Librela for the arthritis. AMCC made it purposefully difficult to get medications from other sources. They wanted me to purchase Ruby's medications from them, as opposed to online pharmacies, at greatly inflated prices. All medications were at least 2-3 times more expensive than an online pet pharmacy. While they would eventually approve medications to be filled, it usually took them days to do so, and often required multiple calls to get the Rx filled. There was always a wait to be seen at AMCC, at least 45 minutes to an hour after our appointment time. I started Ruby on Librela injections in November 2024. The injection took seconds to administer. At one of Ruby's appointments for just her injection, we waited for 3 hours from our appointment time for her to receive her shot. Whenever I called the office, a 15 minute hold time was the norm, lasting up to 20 minutes sometimes. Librela has warnings from its manufacturer not to be given to dogs with neurological conditions. After 6 months of Librela shots, Ruby's breathing went into crisis after an injection in April. Dr. Hymes finally correctly diagnosed Ruby with laryngeal paralysis (a neurological condition that affects the larynx and often, the hind legs (GOLPP)) after misdiagnosing her for 2 years. I researched and felt that a laryngeal stent would be the least invasive solution for Ruby. A vet in Texas, Dr. Garner, specializes in this procedure and was very helpful in giving information to Dr. Hymes. Having not performed this treatment before, she nevertheless felt confident in her ability to place the stent and agreed to perform the procedure in July 2025. She ordered the wrong size of stents from the medical supply company, despite instructions from Dr. Garner's office on how to order the appropriate size. The first attempt at the procedure resulted in the placement of a very undersized stent. It took an entire week for AMCC just to place the order for the right stents. They initially tried to charge me for both sets but I objected and they relented. The day of the second stent placement, I took Ruby in at 8am. After hearing nothing from AMCC all day, I got a call shortly before closing, asking me if Ruby's procedure could be performed the next day. She'd spent all day at the clinic and nothing had been done. Frustrated, I insisted that it be performed that evening. Ruby was still not seen until 8pm, a full 12 hours after I'd dropped her off. At one point during the procedure, I overheard Dr. Hymes say that if it didn't work again, "He can go to Texas and get it done there." The procedure only took around 2 hours, and we left at 11. I felt bad for the staff's long day, but I was also frustrated with them for having neglected Ruby all day, particularly after all the other mistakes made up to that point. But Ruby was finally breathing normally again for the first time in 2 years, and I was relieved. The next day was Ruby's last day. She coughed the stent out around noon. Immediately, her breathing was labored, and I let AMCC know that the procedure did not work once again. They said it'd be too difficult to replace the stent that day and to wait until Monday (they are closed on weekends) and they would try a 3rd attempt. Ruby's breathing was at first not markedly worse than it had been during previous breathing crises, so I thought that she'd be OK with the drugs we were given to keep her calm until Monday. Throughout that day and night, it became increasingly difficult for Ruby to breathe. I took her to an emergency vet in the middle of the night but she started shutting down, turning blue, and losing control of her bodily functions and I had to euthanize her later that morning. Ruby's last day was full of pain and fear. I will probably second-guess the decisions I made for Ruby forever, including taking her to AMCC in the first place. I can't help but think that she'd still be here if I'd taken her to a different vet 3 years ago, who would've correctly diagnosed her and treated her effectively. Ruby deserved better care than she got at AMCC. At some point, I will get another dog and bring it to a veterinary clinic for its care...but it will not be the Animal Medical Center of Corona.

It has been a very difficult time for my cat Bastu…read more However, I have found the facility to be very nice, and Bastu received prompt assistance for her problems! First, she was hospitalized for 24 hours. While there are still some things that I am trying to understand, the IV support made a big difference in her health. My understanding is that this is very important for cats with pancreatis. After going some time without eating, I could tell that she felt better after each treatment with fluids. I have not yet had a follow-up visit with my local vet to check Bastu's PrecisionPSL values. However, from two follow-up visits to CAEC, I can say that Bastu's SDMA values have returned to normal (after she was prescribed felimazole, and successful delivery of that medication for 3 days lead to more severe problems). The spike in BUN values from 21 (before felimazole) to 72 (after felimazole, and then decreased diet to the point of not eating any food) was reversed to 13 after treatment at CAEC (a little below normal, instead of very high above normal). While I am looking into more details (such as waiting to see if my Bastu is capable of returning to normal health) before following the procedures on the FDA website (https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/report-problem/how-report-animal-drug-and-device-side-effects-and-product-problems), my understanding is that my cat has a pre-existing kidney problem. The elevated T4 levels (used to define a diagnosis for hyperthydroidism) represented the body's defense for those kidney problems - high T4 can cause problems in itself, but the underlying kidney problems can also cause additional problems. Thank you very much - while improvement has been slow, Bastu and I certainly appreciate the help within the last week!
