Woke up face to face with my little hippo :)

Brought in my almost 3 yr old frenchie with a cervical neck injury that resulted in immobilization in all four limbs, Dr.T looked over initial X-rays from emergency vet visit after the incident gave honest diagnosis and we decided that acupuncture with laser therapy. He squeezed us in later that day after an emergency pet came in for a surgery, he was so kind to work past closing time since this is an extremely critical time for my pet . This morning after the acupuncture laser I woke up to my frenchie sitting up on his elbows, I couldn't believe it , the rigidity in his front limbs were relaxed and all four limbs were able to move in full motion with no pain , he is on strict bed rest so I laid him back down and did the exercises per Dr.T , it is going to be a long road to recovery for my doggie but I am so much more optimistic and relieved that we're on the right track can't thank Dr.T enough for helping my pup and BIG thank you to the wonderful staff !

They are knowledgeable, kind, consistent, and truly care. It's not easy to find for livestock anymore.

My baby Bailey was having diarrhea. Called and they were able to squeeze her in for a last minute appointment. Ran some tests and gave her Antibiotics and Probiotics to help. She is feeling much better. Thank you for seeing my dog.

The DR and staff have been so helpful and trusting. We moved here last year and couldn't make the drive to our furbabies' vet in Rialto anymore so we started coming here. I was shocked at how much our last vet lacking for so many years. Our senior dog has had numerous tumor removal surgeries and this time around it was so eye opening. I was sat down by the Dr and explained everything in full detail, other conditions he noticed and natural remedies to tackle them before resorting to medication. Every question i had was answered. Both furbabies also got a teeth cleaning and I was amazed at how much more plaque and gum cleaning was actually supposed to happen because this vet got it done RIGHT! Never leaving this vet! Highly recommend.

We found Dr. Tillema when our dachshund injured his back leaving his legs paralyzed. We desperately rushed him to different vets around the area, all who turned us away (including the vet we originally went to) because we didn't have an appt. His staff got us in right away due to the extremity of the circumstance and I can't be more thankful that this was the office we ended up at. After 6 weeks of crate rest, acupuncture and laser appointments our pup was walking again! He even took his time to call us after hours to check in and patiently answer questions. We continue to bring him during IVDD flares, we swear he shows major improvements after acupuncture sessions. Dr. Tillema and his staff were extremely compassionate and supportive during a very traumatic experience. Our family thanks you so much!

I started bringing Ruby to AMCC in the spring of 2023. She had developed a wheeze and had been suffering hind leg pain since injuring her knee in 2021. Dr. Hymes diagnosed Ruby's wheeze as allergies and her hind leg pain as osteoarthritis. She suggested considering monthly shots of Librela for the arthritis. AMCC made it purposefully difficult to get medications from other sources. They wanted me to purchase Ruby's medications from them, as opposed to online pharmacies, at greatly inflated prices. All medications were at least 2-3 times more expensive than an online pet pharmacy. While they would eventually approve medications to be filled, it usually took them days to do so, and often required multiple calls to get the Rx filled. There was always a wait to be seen at AMCC, at least 45 minutes to an hour after our appointment time. I started Ruby on Librela injections in November 2024. The injection took seconds to administer. At one of Ruby's appointments for just her injection, we waited for 3 hours from our appointment time for her to receive her shot. Whenever I called the office, a 15 minute hold time was the norm, lasting up to 20 minutes sometimes. Librela has warnings from its manufacturer not to be given to dogs with neurological conditions. After 6 months of Librela shots, Ruby's breathing went into crisis after an injection in April. Dr. Hymes finally correctly diagnosed Ruby with laryngeal paralysis (a neurological condition that affects the larynx and often, the hind legs (GOLPP)) after misdiagnosing her for 2 years. I researched and felt that a laryngeal stent would be the least invasive solution for Ruby. A vet in Texas, Dr. Garner, specializes in this procedure and was very helpful in giving information to Dr. Hymes. Having not performed this treatment before, she nevertheless felt confident in her ability to place the stent and agreed to perform the procedure in July 2025. She ordered the wrong size of stents from the medical supply company, despite instructions from Dr. Garner's office on how to order the appropriate size. The first attempt at the procedure resulted in the placement of a very undersized stent. It took an entire week for AMCC just to place the order for the right stents. They initially tried to charge me for both sets but I objected and they relented. The day of the second stent placement, I took Ruby in at 8am. After hearing nothing from AMCC all day, I got a call shortly before closing, asking me if Ruby's procedure could be performed the next day. She'd spent all day at the clinic and nothing had been done. Frustrated, I insisted that it be performed that evening. Ruby was still not seen until 8pm, a full 12 hours after I'd dropped her off. At one point during the procedure, I overheard Dr. Hymes say that if it didn't work again, "He can go to Texas and get it done there." The procedure only took around 2 hours, and we left at 11. I felt bad for the staff's long day, but I was also frustrated with them for having neglected Ruby all day, particularly after all the other mistakes made up to that point. But Ruby was finally breathing normally again for the first time in 2 years, and I was relieved. The next day was Ruby's last day. She coughed the stent out around noon. Immediately, her breathing was labored, and I let AMCC know that the procedure did not work once again. They said it'd be too difficult to replace the stent that day and to wait until Monday (they are closed on weekends) and they would try a 3rd attempt. Ruby's breathing was at first not markedly worse than it had been during previous breathing crises, so I thought that she'd be OK with the drugs we were given to keep her calm until Monday. Throughout that day and night, it became increasingly difficult for Ruby to breathe. I took her to an emergency vet in the middle of the night but she started shutting down, turning blue, and losing control of her bodily functions and I had to euthanize her later that morning. Ruby's last day was full of pain and fear. I will probably second-guess the decisions I made for Ruby forever, including taking her to AMCC in the first place. I can't help but think that she'd still be here if I'd taken her to a different vet 3 years ago, who would've correctly diagnosed her and treated her effectively. Ruby deserved better care than she got at AMCC. At some point, I will get another dog and bring it to a veterinary clinic for its care...but it will not be the Animal Medical Center of Corona.

Jax had a long history of worsening mobility problems, limping, weakness, pain, trouble standing, and documented masses. In 2024, a cytology sample from a mass came back limited/nondiagnostic, but I was never made to understand that this meant a serious tumor process had not actually been ruled out. Later, Jax underwent surgery for removal of masses, and I eventually learned there was "no way to know" what those masses actually were because definitive histopathology was never completed. Over time, the records continued documenting concerning findings including suspected neoplasia/mass, worsening hind limb weakness, enlarged lymph nodes, mobility decline, and progressive pain. In August 2025, abdominal and hind limb X-rays were performed while Jax was already struggling with worsening weakness and mobility decline. Looking back now, I seriously question whether the underlying tumor process was adequately recognized or escalated at that point. In November 2025, Jax became extremely sick and weak. A lot of the focus appeared directed toward suspected pancreatitis and diabetes management. After seeking a second opinion, another veterinarian documented severe pelvic limb weakness, muscle wasting, neurologic decline, and a large femoral mass. The veterinarian who later performed Jax's euthanasia documented massive tumor-related swelling involving his left pelvic limb and concern for neoplastic disease including possible nerve sheath tumor or sarcoma. What completely haunts me is how Jax died. During his final days, my dog was crying in pain, struggling to move, and suffering in ways I will never forget for the rest of my life. I had to make the devastating decision to euthanize him at home because his condition had progressed so severely that he could no longer walk without suffering. After another veterinarian questioned aspects of the treatment approach and documented the large mass findings, I've requested a refund and tried to get answers regarding how Jax's condition progressed to such a severe state. I never received meaningful clarification from Dr. Dunbar. I have since submitted a Veterinary Medical Board complaint along with supporting medical records, imaging, second-opinion evaluations, and euthanasia documentation for review. Please advocate hard for your pets, request copies of every diagnostic report, and seek second opinions early if something does not feel right.

I've stayed with them 5 years because I can get my pet's records online which is incredibly convenient and the staff (not the doctor) have been so awesome! Every visit I get the vet -- I can't figure out why she went into this field. It's like she doesn't even like animals but when I think I am done with them I get to see someone who actually seems to care about pets or I get the sweetest most caring vet tech and I just stay because of them. I can't even begin to describe the staff as they make you and your pet feel really cared for versus the veterinarian making you feel like an inconvenience. When we saw our cat's quality of life turn for the worse after other vet visits (losing control of her faculties in her bed, not eating or drinking), I decided to take her Atlas because I already an account there and figured we could trust them with our final decision. I couldn't understand why the vet was so unhappy with life that day. She flicked and poked at my sweet cat and wanted to stabilize her when I already went through tests and scans (and brought the paperwork). To top that off, I asked for a paw print before she was cremated but they mistakenly cremated her before doing that. I couldn't waste my energy even getting angry because we can't bring her back, but unfortunately, my daughter was waiting for this keepsake (my daughter has been wearing the cat collar as a bracelet ever since we had to euthanize) so another sort of grieving in the house for us. The staff apologized and gave us a refund. 5 years I've stayed with Atlas because of these mixed feelings with the vet versus the staff. I am sorry to let go of the staff who have always been so kind, courteous, and empathetic. My whole family and I are super glad we won't have to see this veterinarian again. I hope we can find another facility to take my two dogs.

First, she was hospitalized for 24 hours. While there are still some things that I am trying to understand, the IV support made a big difference in her health. My understanding is that this is very important for cats with pancreatis. After going some time without eating, I could tell that she felt better after each treatment with fluids. I have not yet had a follow-up visit with my local vet to check Bastu's PrecisionPSL values. However, from two follow-up visits to CAEC, I can say that Bastu's SDMA values have returned to normal (after she was prescribed felimazole, and successful delivery of that medication for 3 days lead to more severe problems). The spike in BUN values from 21 (before felimazole) to 72 (after felimazole, and then decreased diet to the point of not eating any food) was reversed to 13 after treatment at CAEC (a little below normal, instead of very high above normal). While I am looking into more details (such as waiting to see if my Bastu is capable of returning to normal health) before following the procedures on the FDA website (https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinary/report-problem/how-report-animal-drug-and-device-side-effects-and-product-problems), my understanding is that my cat has a pre-existing kidney problem. The elevated T4 levels (used to define a diagnosis for hyperthydroidism) represented the body's defense for those kidney problems - high T4 can cause problems in itself, but the underlying kidney problems can also cause additional problems. Thank you very much - while improvement has been slow, Bastu and I certainly appreciate the help within the last week!
