Saw Wax Tailor on a Thursday. Check-in and security were quick and easy. We grabbed drinks without much of a wait, and the venue was comfortable, not too hot or cold. The restroom was clean with plenty of stalls, which is always a plus (no line). There was an employee managing the walkway between the crowd and the bar. He was a bit pushy, but it kept things organized, so I get it. Overall, I'd come back for another show

Came here for a concert and overall the experience was ok! It's a smaller more intimate venue but I found the acoustics to be really loud. Loud as in hard to hear the singing/rapping and at times wishing I had brought ear plugs. Security check-in was simple and quick. They have a bar area with seating before entering the main music venue and also another bar inside as well. Looks like for the show I was at, it was standing room only.

If you're a music fan and in Seattle, you have to see a show at the Croc. This isn't the original location, but the history carries over with this new location. Don't be concerned about standing for a show. It's big enough hear that you don't feel cramped and easy to get to the bar or get some food.

Great local venue. The staff was all super friendly and seemed genuinely interested in making sure everyone had a great time. The sound was great, and the bar was well stocked and fair priced. This venue also has a hotel. We opted to stay the night at the hotel and were definitely not disappointed. Very reasonably priced and a great chic room that was super cozy and comfortable. Check is more like an Air BnB than a hotel which was actually not a bad thing. Your room code gets you in the locked front door. There are two flights of stairs to climb to get to the lobby which is a bar, although it wasn't staffed late when we were there. In the morning was way better quality coffee than a normal hotel would offer (Vita I think). Parking was available all night across the street for $25. I had to move the car to street parking at 0800, but that was only $4 until noon (check out). Parking was available at 1700 when we showed up. Overall a great experience. Wasn't sure what we were getting into, but will definitely come back. It was so nice to just walk upstairs to our room after the show. Don't sleep on this place! Sleep at it... just not on it.

Does this venue still have pizza?

    No they do not

Does this place require vaccination cards?

    Yes.

What's the approximate capacity during a concert?

    550

I'm coming to see SuperMega in February. Will it be standing room only? Or will there be temp seated added? (Just asking because they aren't a band so we probably won't be dancing like a reg gig.) Thanks in advance for taking time to answer me :)

Normally the Crocodile is standing room only, but if this is a unique type of gig then they may have specific arrangements in mind. I would contact them directly to see what the plan is for that show.

My kids want me to bring them to a concert later in the year. Admission is not restricted by age, but wondering how practical it is? Could they use the balcony, or how does it work?

At shows I've been to, yes the balcony is the all-ages area!

Is there a seat or seating to watch and enjoy the show?

Very limited in the concert area, a few benches around the wall. But the bar area has some tables and you can certainly hear the show if not see it from there

All of this was on display Friday night. Joining them were Cornelius Mims (bass) and Michael White (drums). Though the set was besieged by an on and off hum coming from the equipment (we think) and another issue with a computer, they did not disappoint us. Instead of their more recent material (which is where the computer comes in) the group took us down memory lane, it worked! We arrived early for dinner before the first show and were seated on the mezzanine level. Our server Nikki was very welcoming and took our order. We ordered drinks--an Old Fashioned and a Sauvignon Blanc--along with appetizers. Our appetizer selections included calamari served with lemon aioli and spicy red chili oil, and the Aegean Meze Platter. The platter featured grilled eggplant, baby carrots, cucumbers, dolmades, Mama Lil's red peppers, marinated artichoke hearts, assorted olives, tomatoes, and house-made hummus and olive tapenade. We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizers. For dinner, we decided to order full meals, which we don't always do here. One entrée was the Linguini Del Mar, featuring sea scallops, Gulf prawns, Alaskan Coho salmon, and clams sautéed in a garlic, white wine, and lemon butter sauce, served over linguini and topped with Parmigiano Grana. The seafood was fresh, and the pasta was perfectly cooked. My only unreadiness was the dish didn't include mussels, which from my perspective, would have really made it fantastic. The second dish was the White Gulf Prawn and Avocado Caesar salad. It included prawns, hard-boiled egg, cherry tomatoes, romaine, and Tuscan kale tossed in Caesar dressing, topped with croutons and grated Parmigiano Grana. I sampled it and found it to be very good. We also added a couple orders of the Jazz Alley Cornbread that included butter and honey. The corn bread was delicious folks!! We decided to end our dinner with dessert. I tried Key lime pie, and my wife ordered a sundae. Okay, full disclosure I love Key lime pie!

What I enjoyed off the bat was that even though I didn't have cash to pay the cover I was able to get in using one of their payment offerings that linked my bank. The Drag show was entertaining, but the acts ranged from really amateur to a few seasoned "queens". There were some cool people who I chatted with a cool couple who wanted to also get their goth vibes on and drove down from I believe Everett. The bar, even though busy had a cool bartender who made good drinks, and the prices weren't bad. I bought rounds for my friends and myself through the night and paid less than $50 so I was really surprised. Chill vibes here. Would go to another event here.

There's a good amount of seating in the platform area and a large open floor in the middle. I never really do coat check because I'm paranoid about not having my things on me, but the one here is easy and reliable. The only real issue was the photo booth which only worked for the first half hour or so. I'm assuming it ran out of film or something because at some point, it just kept taking people's money without taking any photos, which was brought up to the staff. This isn't necessarily on Showbox since the photo booth is provided by a vendor, but I would've appreciated an "out of order" sign. Also the show was not directly overhead rather slightly forward facing (most of the time) so you should think about bringing a pillow! Right when the show started the lasers were pretty sub par, but by the middle they added more lasers from different directions and smoke which really elevated the visuals to the next step. The music started off wayyy too loud, my ears adjusted over time but afterwards it was hard to hear ppl next to me. There's really no need for it to be that loud when we're so close to the speakers and we're not competing with audience cheers. Was a fun hour spent! I walked down the steps and entered a whole world of vinyl records, throw back artwork and memorabilia that filled the very top of the ceiling all the way down to the tables and floor. This spot made me feel welcomed right off the bat with laughter, people dancing, and a busy bar staff serving up all the drinks from tallboys to fancy hand shaken cocktails.
