To update my previous reviews: I still love and strongly recommend this place. Awesome service. Great beer . And my favorite dish: grilled Caesar salad with added steak. Try it. I will be back to this place frequently in the future.

Rustic ambience, good service. Food was tasty. Homemade(pies) desserts! Highly recommend. Located near the University.

Was just alright. I ordered a spinach salad, the chicken and dressings were good, however there was a yucky taste with the spinach that made the entire salad just okay, I ended up just eating the chicken off the top. There were no problems with the service. Every time I've ate here it has just been okay, nothing special. Last time I ordered the mac and cheese and it was flavorless.

The Crossroads seems to be a nice little place to grab a bite to eat in Edinboro. It was certainly a great place for my friends and I to eat on our way to a wintertime streetcar museum event - not only because the food was good, but because part of The Crossroads is built out of the body of an old streetcar. Yes, really! That sort of thing happened more often than you'd think. Geeky hobbies aside, The Crossroads did not disappoint...for the most part. The service admittedly could have been faster. When my group arrived the place was pretty empty, yet we waited a decent length of time to be seated, to get drinks, and to have our orders taken. Once the orders got to the kitchen, however, things moved along just fine. All of us ordered juicy burgers piled high with various ingredients - depending on what we ordered of course - and all of us enjoyed a heaping serving of fries on the side. In fact I distinctly remember posting a picture to Instagram with the caption, "Never eating again bye" because I was so full with delicious goodness! We all left satisfied and ready to finish our road-trip. Based on my group's experience, I'd totally consider eating here again. That said, between the other reviews and the slow start to my own meal, I'd probably skip it if the place had a decent number of fellow diners seated. Better safe than sorry, right?

Known as just "The Dinor" amongst my family, this has been the setting of far too many family brunches to count.

An annual visit for our family that never disappoints! In addition to their very large breakfast…read moremenu, we sampled daily specials. We were seated in the back room at 2 separate tables, which was fine with us. We waited about 15 minutes each time to be seated. With impatient hangry children, food was delivered in about another 15 minutes. Some establishments make up for quality by giving you quantity. Not so at Flips! Innovation and quality were always there! Combinations were amazing, even reheated! They offer these freshly-made pillow doughnuts called, appropriately, Flips! Only breakfast and lunch hours offered. I have chosen lunch for breakfast sometimes because lunch combos are so enticing. It is diner style, noisy, bustling, with mismatched service plates and flatware. Fun place to be with great food!

First time visitors to Flip and would certainly come back. The ambiance is awesome. Old school…read morediner with amazing artwork on the walls. The Flip potatoes were seasoned with heaven and tasted like it. Simply delicious. The bacon was thick but not too thick. I had the weekday special and added the spicy sausage crumbles. Spectacular. The white toast was thick and buttery and just the right amount of crunch. My son had a 3 choice omelette with cheese bacon and spicy sausage and loved it. And the price was unreal. Definitely worth the stop if you're passing through. Glad it was recommended by the folks at Blaneyvision in Edinboro right up the street.

I had to edit this review because my picture of my breakfast was not posted…read more Very disappointed with Shirley's. If anyone has followed my reviews, I try to eat at local restaurants and give fair and honest reviews. We drove from Pittsburgh to Buffalo and decided to stop at Shirley's for breakfast. The restaurant was busy we had to wait about five minutes for a table. The restaurant just serves breakfast and brunch and had a typical diner interior. We sat down and got our drinks right away. The coffee was hot. The waitress Michele came over and took our order. my wife's order was fine. She ordered the omelette and Texas toast came out perfect. My order was a different story. I ordered the number 4, 2 eggs over easy hashbrowns breakfast sausage, patty, and Italian toast with no butter. Nothing out of the ordinary, but the waitress brought me my plate with the toast very barely toasted and the hashbrowns should've been called hash whites because they were not cooked and they were cold. Take a look at the picture. No waitress should be bringing this to a patron. Look at this picture and make your own decision. Zoom in to the top of the plate, what is that? I did ask to have my toast darker but I did not want to send my whole plate back because my wife was already eating her breakfast. When I was paying my bill, I was asked how was everything and I explained that my breakfast was cold. The manager or owner came over asked a few questions and apologized. I said it's not your fault and I'm not looking to have anything comped. I just made the statement that I came in for a hot breakfast and I got a cold one. There are a lot of restaurants in Erie and unfortunately, I picked the wrong one for breakfast.
