Stayed at The Cumberland Hotel in London for a quick one-night business trip, and it was a great experience from start to finish.
The room was very comfortable and well-equipped--plenty of space, a nice-sized bathroom, and excellent water pressure in the shower (always a big plus). The bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains were perfect for getting in an afternoon nap after travel.
I also appreciated the thoughtful amenities: a desk for work, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, small refrigerator, Nespresso machine, kettle, and a good selection of teas. Everything you'd want for a short, efficient stay.
The lobby had a lively, energetic vibe every time I passed through, which gave the hotel a great atmosphere. There's also a convenient coffee cart serving Starbucks, plus a restaurant and room service available (though I didn't get a chance to try them).
Staff was friendly and welcoming throughout. Overall, a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable stay--I'd definitely return.
