Cinnamon roll big enough for a soccer team
    Jon M.

Our server, Trenton, was great! Five stars for him!!! Loved the patio seating, and flowers. Bar is really cool too. We started with a cinnamon roll to share. The problem was that there were not ten of us to share with. I was still eating cinnamon roll three days after our visit........ I order the Lincoln which was kind of a Benedict reinterpreted. The flavor was not quite to my liking, but the big miss was that one of the two poached eggs was cooked to hard boiled. The second was perfectly runny. Hash browns were less done than I like, lacking a nice golden brown crust. My wife order the chicken fried steak which arrived on two large plates, and one small plate for the two slices of lemon poopy seed bread. If my wife played line for the 49ers that might have been a good portion size. Since she does not play in the NFL, we were eating leftovers for the next three days....... Great start for the restaurant, but some fine tuning is needed. More reasonable portion sizes, coupled with a small price reduction would be greatly appreciated! When I saw the four 20 year old guys at the next table all taking to-go boxes I was quite sure that the portions were a bit too big for normal humans. Oh, almost forgot, the coffee cups are nice looking, but way too small. Either leave a self serve pot on the table, or get bigger cups. Poor Trenton was running ragged trying to keep our cups full.....

This enormous muffin was just too plain and unremarkable to recommend.

I hate giving TDN 4 stars, because I wanted this to be a 5-star review. There are a number of 5-star features to be reported, and I do (spoiler alert) recommend you give it a try. But if I'm going to be honest, the food itself was, at best, 3.5 stars, and I'm convinced they have the skills and desire to reach the mountain top. First - the best part of our recent visit. The ambiance is outstanding. The decor, the genuine warmth and friendliness of every employee we interacted with, and the comfortable seating all made for a happy dining experience. The whimsical accessories, the vibrant colors, and everything about the setting itself will make you want to return. Our server, Alyssa, was one of the most upbeat, friendly, and helpful servers we have ever experienced. She was entertaining, and in every way a server should be great, Alyssa was great. We also met Tony, a manager, and while his answer to my question about the unusual seasoning on the fries was a bit circuitous, he was fun as well. As other servers came to also aid our party of five, every one of them without exception was warm and friendly. And that contributes a lot to an experience that you will want to repeat. The food was generally OK, but it needs some work. On the positive side, the extra-thick strips of bacon were delicious. The enormous Jake Is Back burger is excellent. Inside a gigantic bun, the large combination of juicy burger and mix of ingredients held up really well. Definitely recommended, and the teenage young man in our group couldn't come close to finishing it. The combo of bacon, cheese, and fried egg worked well together. My wife loves fried green tomatoes, and can be a tough critic. She enjoyed the version here, and proclaimed it one of the best she's ever had. So we know we're dealing with a talented kitchen that just needs to up its game. On the downside, even though TDN was not yet full at 9am, our party of five had several major misses. Several of us had fried eggs, and none of them came out warm. In fact, a couple of served egg dishes were cold. We had requested the hash browns to be crisp, and even after a return for a second try, they weren't served crisp. I think they intend for the huge cinnamon roll to be a signature dish, but we thought it missed the mark. It is so huge (easily can serve 5 or 6) it is much too doughy in parts, leaving a flavorless landscape of just plain fried dough. The Texas toast was just crazy-thick toast made from a loaf of bread that had no particular character to it. But I don't want to dwell on the negatives, because I think that as this newly opened diner gets its act together, they are going to be 5-star all the way. They are trying, and it shows. We intend to give it another shot after a bit of time, and as I said in the beginning, I do think TDN is a fun place to try, and you should do it.

Wow! What an experience! Greeted by Trenton and seated right away indoors. He was our server and took exceptional care of our party of two. He was very detailed about specials like the drink, the S'mores Espresso Martini made by the fabulous Brandy. It was the perfect balance of espresso and liquor. My bestie ordered a Bloody Mary. Perfection!See pics! At the end of our meal I ordered a Mojito Flight. I called it my palette cleanser. Choose 3 of their delicious flavors. The Bar is fully stocked and displayed beautifully. On to the food. The way Trenton described this appetizer we had to order it. Smoked Belly on Brie with a fried egg on top. It was so good. We ordered The Grant to share. Very tasty. Fried Green Tomatoes done right! The fennel sausage was so flavorful. The gravy...Yum! We met Tony the GM and he graced us with his presence for a chat. What a nice guy and takes pride in this business. I was treated for my birthday with Salted Caramel Billionaire Bars, a candle and the Birthday song. Thank you! Bringing the family next time!

The cinnamon roll is bigger than my big head.

If you were a fan of 105 Noshery, I think It will be easy to be a fan of the Daily Nosh. My wife and I went here for brunch today starting at the bar, given there was a short wait. We didn't go with anything fancy, just a michelada and a cali-squeeze. We were seated outside and we maxed the "mistake" of starting with their cinnamon roll. It was as delicious as we remembered from 105, just seemed much bigger . The restaurant manager, Tony, was making his rounds, helping staff, clear tables, asking diners about their experience etc. I asked him about why 105 closed and I appreciated his candid response. After we talked with him a little more he asked if we minded if he came back around to get our thoughts on our experience, they've only been open maybe 3 weeks and his main goal is diner's consistent experience. As far as my wife and I saw it, the food, service and ambiance were all fantastic, as one would expect from one of Randy's restaurants. I did make a comment to Tony about the michelada and his immediate comeback of this isn't a taqueria was classic. He's right, it's not. But I wasn't the first and maybe Tony is probably developing in his mind as I write this. We will definitely be back.

Bacon steak & Fried green tomatoes

I usually don't go for breakfast food but this place changed my mind. The menu items that stood out to us were the buttermilk pancakes & spicy fennel sausage. Something about the pancakes, butter, & syrup truly melts in your mouth unlike other pancakes i've tried that were hard to go down. The sausage was surprisingly more spicy than expected and packed with flavor. The staff was very friendly & attentive and the restaurant overall was very detailed (hot sauce shelf, inclusive bathroom, mouthwash, breath mints, etc). Large meal portions as well. The only things we wish were different were regular bacon instead of bacon steak and crispier hash browns. Would definitely come back & recommend to others!

Chicken fried steak, chocolate gravy biscuit. Good luck, finishing it all.

Absolute masterpiece. The chocolate gravy took me back 20 years. Fantastic service and definitely will be part of my rotation of restaurants I revisit often.

    A refreshing summer spritzer.

Very happy to have you back! Started with a fantastic spritzer cocktail. Then had the brisket French dip with seasoned fries. Delicious! Our server was perfectly friendly and attentive. And the atmosphere is spot-on. Looking forward to visiting again.

If I could give more stars, I would! This is a place you don't want to miss! Upon entry, we were greeted with smiles and immediately felt the welcoming environment. My service dog was given a little greeting as well and they sat us in a corner with not much traffic without me having to ask and they even asked if he wanted a water bowl. Customer service is above and beyond. Their about info says come as you are, and they stay true to that! I get nervous sometimes going out to eat with my service dog since some places don't know much about them and seem to dislike having to let us in. I did not get this worry at all since entering this establishment, if anything, I felt more accepted than ever. Thank you! The price is good for the huge portions you get. When I say huge, I mean HUGE plates. We got a pudding bread thinking it would be a small, quick little appetizer since they ran out of the cinnamon roll and even with 3 people, we couldn't even eat half of it with all the food. I got the French toast thinking it was going to be a light breakfast and I barely managed to eat it all. My partner and mom got omelettes and were barely able to eat half the omelet and sides. You definitely get your moneys worth. They have mocktails/elixirs that are made with freshly pressed fruits and you can taste it! No artificial, canned, or old fruit taste. They honestly remind me of fancy agua frescas, I was sooo glad the daydreamer tasted exactly how I imagined it while reading the ingredients. I hope this place gets the recognition it deserves. Keep up the good work!

Fennel sausage patty with scrambled eggs, fried green tomatoes and a scone
    Ron W.

We were warmly greeted at the door and the staff (particularly Amanda) were gracious and professional throughout our breakfast. I had the cheese omelette with a side of bacon and my wife had the fennel sausage patty with her scrambled eggs. We both ordered the apricot and cranberry scone and my breakfast came with an enormous amount of hash browns. All were delicious and way more food that we could eat in one sitting. The venue had some open tables when we arrived shortly before 10 am, but filled up pretty quickly. The noise level was pretty high with all the people but we managed to carry on a decent conversation. Full marks for food and service and for the owner who came by to check on us. We will be back (but maybe order a little less)!

Randy you out did yourself. Incredible food, Huge portions and great cocktails. Customer service was on point. I'm so glad Nosh is back.

They weren't kidding when they said the portions were big. (I meant that in a good way). You do get the bang for your buck here. I ordered pancakes, biscuits with gravy, and their beacon steak. I did not expect how flavorful their beacon would be. The service was great too. I would definitely be coming back again.

BLAT on Texas toast with a side of Hashbrowns

An incredibly friendly staff presents monstrous plates with quality ingredients. They have southern inspired plates with biscuits and gravy or fried green tomatoes.

The BLAT with an over medium egg and side of hashbrowns. Enough for two!!

I was honestly so excited to go to this place. This coffee bar is actually quite hidden, as they are located right behind the Village General Store on Vernon. There's quite a bit of parking when the storefront is closed, so you wouldn't even expect a wait at all. They have such a spacious patio as well (if you want to sit down and have a good time chatting it up with your other friends), and such big space to wait if you don't want the patio. I got one of their oatmeal cookies as well as their Matcha lattes. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville. They also used quite premium-grade matcha that made it taste really good with the whole milk they mixed in eventually. The ambiance and the hospitality was one of the best out there, and I can't wait to be back the next time I'm in Sacramento!

The customer service is next level ( Tony & Jennitse: she has the most amazingly white teeth), I have made me feel welcome each and every time I have visited the location. The ambience is perfectly executed. It is modern and sleek, and the brilliant addition of swinging seats gives the space a unique, beautiful vibe that really sets it apart from your average café. Now, onto the food and drinks. The coffee is exceptional, and the pastries are honestly amongst the best I've ever had. What really blew me away is the value. Both the coffee and pastries are affordably priced, which is incredibly rare these days. And as a 6'5", 260-pound guy with a muscular frame who definitely knows how to eat, I don't say this lightly: the portion sizes here are far above average! You absolutely get your money's worth. To top it all off, the owner is sweet, smart, and undeniably attractive, bringing a wonderful energy to the whole operation. If you are anywhere near Roseville, do yourself a favor and check this place out. It hits every single mark!
