For my birthday, my daughter took me to Mario's Early Toast for lunch. We chose the Roseville location because it was close to where we were going for an amazing spa day afterward. When we walked in, the food smelled pretty good! We were seated right away, and Mark S. was our server. After looking over the menu, I asked Mark for a recommendation. He suggested the Chilaquiles de Chef, and I was sold! It comes with eggs, so I ordered mine sunny-side up. My daughter chose the Body Builder, a protein plate. While we waited, we sipped on our tasty waters. We were seated in a booth near the front, where we could see everyone working hard in the kitchen. The restaurant was starting to slow down, but the servers and cooks were still buzzing around. It didn't take long for our food to arrive, and both plates were picture-perfect! My Chilaquiles de Chef comes with rice, beans, sunny-side-up eggs, avocado, and a piece of asada laid across, topped with cotija. My daughter's plate was simpler, but it still looked fantastic. Unfortunately, my food was barely warm. I let Mark know, and about 10 minutes later, I received an entirely new plate. This time, the plate was so hot I couldn't touch it--and thankfully, the food was nice and hot too! The chilaquiles were okay. The green sauce was pretty tart, but once the egg yolks oozed over everything, it tasted much better. The asada was also a nice touch. There was so much food on my plate that I couldn't finish it all! My daughter enjoyed her protein plate, which came with chicken, egg whites, avocado, and rice. It also came with soy sauce packets, if that tickles your fancy. She also ordered a Strawberry Waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream for a little taste of sweetness--and boy, was that delicious! After all that food, we were able to pay quickly and be on our way. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something different, so I'm open to suggestions. Came back as a group of 9 since my friend wanted to come here on a Sunday afternoon. Put my name on the waitlist and was quoted about an hour. We ended up walking across the street to target to kill sometime. Got a text back saying our table was ready after maybe 30 mins, so we rushed and got seated near the front of the restaurant. I had such a better experience here than I did last time, our server was great, she kept coming around and checking if we needed anything. I decided to try something different and ordered the highway 5 Burrito with chicken. Came with some salsa and I asked for some limes on the side. It was really big and filling and full of flavor. I was so full afterwards. My fiancé got the same Mexican omelette because he really liked it last time. Still really cool to see that you can order rice as a side here. Really do recommend this place as it's only my second time here but I really enjoy the food and atmosphere here. read more

My family and I went out to Roseville on Saturday and were looking for somewhere to have breakfast at - I kept seeing Mario's Early Toast pop up so we decide to check them out. We arrived around 10:30am and the place was packed, but we got lucky and were seated right away. They had plenty of seats inside as well as a nice patio area! It took us a while to decide on what we wanted since everything on the menu sounded great, but we ended up going with the Morning Green Enchiladas, Bayside Burrito, Strawberry Belgian Waffle, Fruit Bowl and a side of Linguica. Everything was amazing!! We also ordered a Bloody Mary and a Wicked Apple Mimosa plus the kids got Lemonade (even had refills). Overall, the food was great - better than we expected I think. The service was also on point and I can definitely admit that we were sleeping on Mario's Early Toast. I can see why it's so popular! We came after noon on a Thursday & were immediately able to get seated at a booth inside. The booths are comfy, but they have low backs so you easily see your eating neighbors. The restaurant has a contemporary feel with nice lighting. TVs had sports playing. It has booth, table, & bar seating, & can accommodate a lot of diners with indoor & outdoor spaces. Our server was quick & responsive. He checked in on us, kept our waters filled & eventually left a carafe, took note of a special request, left our check early (but didn't make us feel rushed), & was apologetic about something that got missed & immediately corrected it. Our eats-- Mexican Benedict with Potatoes Smoked Salmon Benedict with Potatoes Kids French Toast with Bacon, Sausage Link, & Apple Juice in a lidded cup We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals & thought the food was delicious, flavorful, & had quality ingredients. The portions are big. The only minor ding is the dish choice that the kids meal was served on. It was small with a raised edge making it difficult to cut on & maneuver bites. I've been to a different Mario's location before and I know the food is delicious. The service is great, as well. On this visit, I tried the Mexican Benedict. It's a well presented dish with the micro-greens and sauces all skillfully laid out in the plate. My eggs were just slightly over-done. The meal was still delicious and filling (I almost emptied the plate). I definitely recommend this place for a filling, classic breakfast. read more

This time I tried something different. I tried their chicken fried steak. Very good, but I just like eggs Benedict a lot more. My chicken fried steak came with a Biscuit or toast. I wanted to try the biscuit. My husband ordered the Rocklin Omelet. We arrived later than normal around 8:45 am Saturday the 1st. We were very surprised that there wasn't a wait. This is my go to place for breakfast after church. It is always busy however I've always had good service and my food has been consistently delicious. What I like most about this menu is the diverse options for every pallet. I love the Maui French toast. It's sweet and needs no syrup at all. This place is a pass for me. The food was ok but at $20 per plate I wouldn't come here again. The burrito was good but the avocado was hard. I assumed by the menu that the avocado, pico and sour cream were inside. Which they need to be. The burrito is dry if you don't get a bite with sour cream and pico. The sandwich was ok again hard avocado and just a chuck haphazardly shoved in the middle. Why not mash it on the bread? The sandwich was dry as well it needed mayo or something. I ended up putting ketchup on my half. With a few tweaks the food could be really good but it missed the mark. Our waitress was friendly and the service was good. The parking is horrible and the place is too small for the amount of tables in my opinion. Two women with a screaming toddler were sat next to us and it ruined the whole experience. Came in today for the first time with one of my friends we sat in the patio area and had lunch, I got the pacific coast tacos and also had 2 hibiscus mimosa . Pretty cool concept of Mexican and brunch fusion. We came in a big group of 9 people. They told us it would be an hour wait so we went to the nearby store to kill time, but within 20 minutes, they said that the table was ready. They just made one long table with the booth and chairs for us. There was no place to sit for waiting. So we had to wait in the car. The menu selection is huge. They have so many different mimosas and different dishes. It was overwhelming. I got the New York Steak and Eggs combo ($24) and the Chilaquiles Del Chef ($20.95). The waitress Samantha, was nice and talkative. She definitely did a good job trying to remember all our orders. She also refilled our waters. We came around 8:30 in the morning, and it was nice and quiet. Since we had our dog with us, we were seated on the patio, which was perfect. The service was great, and our waiter was very friendly. Great brunch! Such a good menu and it says something that at 10:30am on a Tuesday they seemed busy. But that did not impact service. Greeted and seated quickly. Menu had a lot of variety. Drink and food came out quickly. I got the bacon bloody mary and the Pacific Omelet. Both were excellent. The smoked salmon, which i was afraid would be overpowering, wasn't. Actually I almost had to search for it. But the hollandaise was amazing! Parking was a struggle. Just be aware. But don't let it deter you from trying. Sadly, I've come back and it's not with my same amazing experience. The service wasn't as friendly as before. The food tho, that was the biggest disappointment. I got my chilaquiles Del chef and was highly disappointed. The "carne asada" was a cheap steamed chewy piece of steak. The sauce for the chilaquiles used to be AMAZING! This time is was far from it. It was sweet and no flavor. The rice was also super hard and like it was scrapped from the sides of the pot or something. I'm so sad to see this place go down I quality now that they've opened more locations I feared this would happen. My fave brunch place has come to an end! To add to it all, we also saw a roach running across the floor as we were finishing up so that was great. read more

I actually didn't realize there was a milkshake menu until I got home... whoops! I'm not sure if milkshakes are only a morning thing or available all day, but I'll definitely ask next time. One thing I'd love to mention to the owner if they happen to see this: please consider adding Oreo milkshakes! There's something about not having to wait for refills that makes breakfast feel extra cozy. They had real half & half on the table -- and as someone with Wisconsin roots, seeing authentic half & half from Wisconsin made me happy. I also really appreciated their fit-focused menu. Also ordered the cheesesteak sandwich, the bread was grilled and had a crispy crust and inside the roll was soft, the roll held up well with the generous filling, the steak was tender and well-seasoned, and the melted cheese with bell peppers, onions and mushrooms made this a very tasty sandwich. This place is a family favorite. We come here often enough that we're starting to memorize the large variety menu! We love the large variety of food options with a whole section of the menu dedicated to specific workout/weightlifting/healthy eating styles. The service is usually pretty quick. The service is always knowledgeable about the menu and patient in explaining things to my grandma. And they are so accommodating to personal preferences to make sure you're happy with your order. We have yet to order something we didn't like, and that's saying a lot for a group of 15-17 people who have eaten here numerous times. We use to come here monthly for brunch when I was living in Sac in 2021-2022. I was in town this weekend and decided to come here again for some mimosas and food. This place is known for their variety of mimosa flavors. I usually get the samplers so I can try different flavors. I don't remember the mimosas being that sweet but it was still good. I wasn't a fan of one that was grapefruit flavor since it was bitter. After tasting the sweet ones, the grapefruit threw my tastebuds off. There are sweet ones, bitter ones, sour ones, and neutral flavored ones. The staff are very friendly and helpful so they will give you good suggestions if you don't know what to get or want a certain sweetness or sourness. I usually get one of the egg Benedict or the omelette but I decided to try something different this time. I went with the all meat skillet with hash browns. It was really good but the portion is smaller compared to the omelette. If you are hungry, omelette is a better choice especially if you plan to order a few mimosas since once you start with one mimosa, it's hard to not want to get another due to different flavors they offer. The wait time isn't bad for us on a Sunday. It was a a little under 30 minute wait and we got there around 1pm. when we went before, it would be much longer and sometimes they would tell us we couldn't be seated because of the long list. The seating arrangements are good where you have room to walk in between without bumping to folks. They have indoor and outdoor seating but we always opted for the indoor seating. Overall, our experience was really good. the place hasn't changed since the last time we were here a few years ago and the wait time was much shorter compared to the past. If you are craving breakfast and mimosas, give Mario's Early Toast a try. They close at 3pm but we did see people get seated around 2:30pm. The staff will let you know when is last call and when the kitchen closes if you stay after 2:30pm. read more

Mario's is always a good spot for brunch. I have never gone here and didn't like something I have ordered. The service is generally always quick and kind. The restaurant is nicely decorated and always appears clean. My favorite thing is the California eggs Benedict and extra crispy hash-browns, (hack: get the Benedict over the hash browns instead of getting an English muffin = a few less carbs) Yum! Hubs and I enjoy splitting this meal and flights of mimosas. Mimosa flights: You get to choose 3 of their long menu list of options. One of my all time favorites is the Hawaii, second I think is the evil queen. It's a beautiful teal color and tastes delicious. My least favorite is the bull mosa. Maybe because this time the Red Bull tasted flat, or I just don't care for Red Bull flavor anymore..... It's fun to try them out and if you go with some else, you can try 6! read more
