Bloody Mary and Wicked Apple Mimosa
    Courtney O.

My family and I went out to Roseville on Saturday and were looking for somewhere to have breakfast at - I kept seeing Mario's Early Toast pop up so we decide to check them out. We arrived around 10:30am and the place was packed, but we got lucky and were seated right away. They had plenty of seats inside as well as a nice patio area! It took us a while to decide on what we wanted since everything on the menu sounded great, but we ended up going with the Morning Green Enchiladas, Bayside Burrito, Strawberry Belgian Waffle, Fruit Bowl and a side of Linguica. Everything was amazing!! We also ordered a Bloody Mary and a Wicked Apple Mimosa plus the kids got Lemonade (even had refills). Overall, the food was great - better than we expected I think. The service was also on point and I can definitely admit that we were sleeping on Mario's Early Toast. I can see why it's so popular! We will definitely be back next time we are in Roseville - there are so many items on the menu that I want to come back and try! Check them out!

We came after noon on a Thursday & were immediately able to get seated at a booth inside. The booths are comfy, but they have low backs so you easily see your eating neighbors. The restaurant has a contemporary feel with nice lighting. TVs had sports playing. It has booth, table, & bar seating, & can accommodate a lot of diners with indoor & outdoor spaces. Our server was quick & responsive. He checked in on us, kept our waters filled & eventually left a carafe, took note of a special request, left our check early (but didn't make us feel rushed), & was apologetic about something that got missed & immediately corrected it. Our eats-- Mexican Benedict with Potatoes Smoked Salmon Benedict with Potatoes Kids French Toast with Bacon, Sausage Link, & Apple Juice in a lidded cup We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals & thought the food was delicious, flavorful, & had quality ingredients. The portions are big. The only minor ding is the dish choice that the kids meal was served on. It was small with a raised edge making it difficult to cut on & maneuver bites. Overall, we enjoyed a highly satisfying meal & dining experience.

I've been to a different Mario's location before and I know the food is delicious. The service is great, as well. On this visit, I tried the Mexican Benedict. It's a well presented dish with the micro-greens and sauces all skillfully laid out in the plate. My eggs were just slightly over-done. The meal was still delicious and filling (I almost emptied the plate). I definitely recommend this place for a filling, classic breakfast.

This time I tried something different. I tried their chicken fried steak. Very good, but I just like eggs Benedict a lot more. My chicken fried steak came with a Biscuit or toast. I wanted to try the biscuit. My husband ordered the Rocklin Omelet. We arrived later than normal around 8:45 am Saturday the 1st. We were very surprised that there wasn't a wait. By the time we left of course there was a lot of people waiting. We always have very friendly and helpful servers. I am terrible at remembering names.

Quickly becoming one of my go to breakfast spots! The food is consistently good and they have so many options that my party with different dietary restrictions were able to all find something to eat. The service is overall good, they are definitely busy. There is plenty of outdoor seating, which we typically opt for, and even with how hot the days have been, the patio is kept fairly cool.

This place is a pass for me. The food was ok but at $20 per plate I wouldn't come here again. The burrito was good but the avocado was hard. I assumed by the menu that the avocado, pico and sour cream were inside. Which they need to be. The burrito is dry if you don't get a bite with sour cream and pico. The sandwich was ok again hard avocado and just a chuck haphazardly shoved in the middle. Why not mash it on the bread? The sandwich was dry as well it needed mayo or something. I ended up putting ketchup on my half. With a few tweaks the food could be really good but it missed the mark. Our waitress was friendly and the service was good. The parking is horrible and the place is too small for the amount of tables in my opinion. Two women with a screaming toddler were sat next to us and it ruined the whole experience. Not the vibe I'm looking for. (Not sure what happen but the other pics of the sandwich and burrito got deleted)

This is my go to place for breakfast after church. It is always busy however I've always had good service and my food has been consistently delicious. What I like most about this menu is the diverse options for every pallet. I love the Maui French toast. It's sweet and needs no syrup at all. I like to get it with the bacon and eggs and the House potatoes. I also like to get the avocado toast. Both options are delicious and hit the spot every time.

Came in today for the first time with one of my friends we sat in the patio area and had lunch, I got the pacific coast tacos and also had 2 hibiscus mimosa . Our service was really good and our waiter was super nice and helpful and friendly. Our food and drinks came out at a good speed also. The restaurant and the patio are were also very clean and they were busy but still had a few open tables. I will definitely be coming back and telling my friends about this place as well.

New York Steak and Eggs Combo ($24)

Pretty cool concept of Mexican and brunch fusion. We came in a big group of 9 people. They told us it would be an hour wait so we went to the nearby store to kill time, but within 20 minutes, they said that the table was ready. They just made one long table with the booth and chairs for us. There was no place to sit for waiting. So we had to wait in the car. The menu selection is huge. They have so many different mimosas and different dishes. It was overwhelming. I got the New York Steak and Eggs combo ($24) and the Chilaquiles Del Chef ($20.95). The waitress Samantha, was nice and talkative. She definitely did a good job trying to remember all our orders. She also refilled our waters. I can see the appeal of this place because it does get busy. I definitely want to try their other dishes. I would come back with a smaller group.

    Veggie Omelet with GF toast

We came around 8:30 in the morning, and it was nice and quiet. Since we had our dog with us, we were seated on the patio, which was perfect. The service was great, and our waiter was very friendly. I had a great breakfast and loved my fresh squeezed orange juice. I ordered a skillet with sausage, mushrooms, cheese, added veggies, scrambled eggs, and hash browns, and everything was delicious. I also appreciated that they offered gluten free options for my friend. I'll definitely be back!

    Pacific Omelet

Great brunch! Such a good menu and it says something that at 10:30am on a Tuesday they seemed busy. But that did not impact service. Greeted and seated quickly. Menu had a lot of variety. Drink and food came out quickly. I got the bacon bloody mary and the Pacific Omelet. Both were excellent. The smoked salmon, which i was afraid would be overpowering, wasn't. Actually I almost had to search for it. But the hollandaise was amazing! Parking was a struggle. Just be aware. But don't let it deter you from trying. I'll definitely be back when I'm visiting in the future.

    Southern gravy omelette
    Tamara P.

My favorite breakfast spot! It has been awhile since I have been but it is always great. We were out early and arrived at opening at 7 am. We were seated right away and ordered pretty quickly. We had the Southern gravy omelet and the perfect combo with blueberry waffle and a pecan latte. Service was excellent per usual and of course the food was delicious. There are generous portions here where we usually bring food home. Considering it was super early it was not too busy for a Friday morning. It started filling up fast as we ordered.

Our coffee was delicious, also our food. We had to wait a little but nothing crazy. This place is cozy and good to enjoy with friends and family.

    Do they take reservations?

Only if you have over 6 people attending and they all have to be there at the time of the reservation or they'll cancel the reservation.

Do they still do bottomless mimosas?

As of June 11 there were still no bottomless mimosas due to Covid...but have a huge one available like someone else said.

As of today is ok to dine outside?

Yes, they have outdoor dining in the parking lot. But, l'd suggest calling before you visit, as things are dynamic.

When I heard Moksa and Hawks were teaming up, I was beyond excited. Moksa already makes some of the best beer around, and Hawks has long been one of my favorite restaurants in the Sacramento/Placer area. I honestly wasn't sure what to expect since Hawks is known for its elevated dining experience, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park. The food is delicious , the portions are generous, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable for the quality you're getting. Pair that with Moksa's incredible beer selection, plus wine and canned cocktails, and there's something for everyone. They also do fun events like trivia and music bingo, which gives you another reason to keep coming back. Whether you're grabbing a beer, meeting friends for dinner, or making a night of it, this place delivers every time. Do yourself a favor and check it out. You'll be glad you did

It is a little disorganized as they have the complimentary water way in the back near the entrance/exit. The cups are by the pickup area and they are either available or you have to flag someone to get one. Overall 4 stars. We would eat here again when visiting Roseville!

We let him know it was our first time there, and he made us feel welcome. I got the cheeseburger and really enjoyed it. I especially liked the Hawaiian roll bun. I was worried it might be overwhelmingly sweet, but it wasn't at all. The sweet pickles were also a nice touch. My husband got the Swole' Chick breakfast burrito, which has a whopping 80g of protein! He enjoyed it, although it wasn't his favorite thing we ordered. The fries, though--SO good. The regular fries were crispy, stood up instead of being limp or soggy, and had the perfect amount of salt. We also tried the chili cheese fries and those were bomb! I thought the prices were very reasonable for the portions and quality. The cheeseburger was $11.99, the Swole' Chick was $14.99, regular fries were $3.99, and the chili cheese fries were $7.49. We definitely got a good amount of food for what we paid. There's plenty of seating inside and a bar at the front. My only real complaint was the fountain drinks. They don't carry Coke or Pepsi products and instead have RC Cola, which I had never tried before. I'd heard it was supposed to taste similar to Coke or Pepsi, but to me it oddly tasted more like root beer. The diet Dr Pepper was also out--it came out extremely light brown and mostly water. The ice machine also ran out of ice while we were there, but when we mentioned it to Joe, he immediately came over and refilled it, which I appreciated. Overall, we had a good first experience. The food was really good, prices were reasonable, and Joe was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The fountain drink situation could definitely use some improvement, but the food--especially those fries--would bring us back!

It came loaded with Tillamook cheddar, crispy bacon, onion rings, mayo, and their gourmet BBQ sauce. The burger was juicy, cheesy, smoky, and slightly sweet without the BBQ sauce overpowering everything else. Adding that second patty made it a beast of a burger! It was way too much for me to finish in one sitting, but that worked out perfectly because it became two meals and how the heck was it more delicious the next day? My friend ordered the Boss Burger, which came with lettuce, tomato, bacon, onion rings, Swiss and American cheeses, and their signature sauce. He made his a double too, which turned an already fully loaded burger into something absolutely massive! Both burgers looked impressive when they arrived. By the time I barely finished my half, he was practically done with his burger... how the... well, lol, he's a man! The restaurant was crowded when we visited, and only about half of the tables were clean. However, the customer service here is always great. I also like that they keep water available on the counter so you can easily help yourself. We had a great time laughing, talking, and even chatting with other customers who shared our love for Burger & Cream. That made the experience even more enjoyable! Of course, you can't come to Burger & Cream without checking out the desserts. We chose a chocolate cookie dessert made with chocolate ice cream, took it back to my place, and shared it there. It was rich, chocolatey, and the perfect sweet ending to a fun time with my friend.

A Great Burger, a Little Nostalgia, and a 20-Minute Test of Patience…read more I've been bringing my family to this location for years--back when it was a Foster Freeze. This place has some history for me. Many a Friday night, when I was the Defensive Coordinator for Lincoln High School, I'd find myself here. And on those hot summer days, my wife and I would stop in with our son Jonathan before heading off to watch Lincoln play Nevada City. So, yes... I have a little emotional investment in this place. Fast-forward to today, and I'm happy to report that the burgers are still worth talking about. The buns were soft, the meat was flavorful, and the whole burger experience hit the spot. And, of course, my family gave the milkshakes their official seal of approval--which, in my household, is basically a Michelin star. The menu has plenty of good options, there's outdoor seating, and the staff is genuinely working hard. They're multitasking like their lives depend on it, so every once in a while you may need to repeat your order. But honestly, I'd rather see people working hard and trying to take care of everyone than standing around looking bored. Parking can be a bit challenging, too. Consider it part of the dining experience--your appetizer is finding a parking space. So why only four stars? The wait. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. It wasn't terrible, but when you're hungry enough to start considering whether ketchup packets are technically a meal, 20 minutes feels like a lifetime. That said, the food was really good, the staff was friendly, and there's a genuine sense that people are working hard to make this place successful. Bottom line: Great burgers, excellent milkshakes, a solid menu, friendly people, and a little nostalgia thrown in for free. I'd absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Just remember: bring your appetite, a little patience, and maybe say your order twice. Four stars--and I'll definitely be back.

I got my person off of his computer game and we drove down to a decently busy drive through, so we decided to go inside as we wanted to review the menu anyways. The restaurant was clean and cute, almost set up like a little diner. THIS PLACE HAS EVERYTHING. or at least every fast food type item I wanted to see on the menu. We ordered chicken strip basket, a jalapeño burger, a chocolate shake and fried zucchini. There was at least 40 other things on the menu that I wanted to order, but figured this was a solid order for our first time. There was a little confusion with the cashier over the jalapeño burger, but I refuse to dock stars for a cashier who looked like they were still in training. The important part of the mix up, was the chef came out to clarify exactly what we wanted, so it was never really a problem to begin with. That chocolate shake has been living in my head rent free ever since, because it was perfect. The jalapeño burger (we ended up with 3 patties instead of two, per the menu confusion) basically brought tears to my partners eyes because it was so perfect. And they actually season their fries!!! I would give 6 stars if I could. Don't sleep on this gem. Whether you would call it a drive in or just fast food it is AWESOME.

We've had Burger Shack on our list for a while. We love stopping by old school drive in type burger…read moreshops for a no frills, just good food experience. We stopped in later in the evening for dinner and got the mushroom cheeseburger combo ($12.99), the Pastrami Cheeseburger combo ($14.99), cheese curds ($5.99) and fried okra ($5.99). They gave us our drinks right away and they have the nice crushed ice that's like tiny pebbles. It's always a treat when a spot has this ice because it's tiny and crunchy and not offered a lot. The food didn't take too long and came out on a tray for our dine in experience. There are plenty of booths here and during our visit there were a lot of other people enjoying meals in small groups and couples. The food was hot and fresh and the fries were nicely cooked crinkle cut fries. The fried okra as good, but needed a bit more seasoning or sauce to dip (we had ranch). The cheese curds were great, hot and the cheese was perfectly melty. My husband got the mushroom cheeseburger with just mushrooms, cheese, pickles and added bacon. He said it was a good burger and satisfied his craving, but isn't something he'd specifically seek out. I got the pastrami burger with everything on it and thought it was delicious, but the pastrami was a bit overcooked and dried out so the texture was a bit hard to bite through with the burger and I found myself eating the pastrami separately from the burger. There's plenty of parking here and they have a drive through. I heard the milkshakes are great, so if we stop by again we'll try one.
