Side of onion rings
Nishalina B.

Tuna melt was good! Had substance and good flavor. Got cheddar cheese instead of American. The onion rings were lightly breaded and crispy; good portion. Fries were also good and crispy. Server gave us extra fries since the portion on the plate was small.

Little bit! Biscuit & gravy!

Nothing to change-super friendly staff, really clean inside & outside! It was a bit too windy to eat outside today! Menu covers just about everything one would like!

i went here on a sunday (mother's day) afternoon at 1pm and we waited about 15 minutes for a table. we were waiting a lot for us to order and get our food, but it was mother's day so we understood the were busy. the staff was friendly but they did forget to input our to go order, so we had to wait even longer. the food was pretty good. i personally got the biscuits and gravy and it was not my favorite so i'd definitely order something different next time.

Early Bird Special Before 8 AM $7.99, Mon to Fri (not every day)

Hot Off The Griddle is a breakfast, lunch, brunch open daily 7 AM to 2 PM located on Granite Dr in Rocklin, where Barn Burner used to be. Early Bird and Lunch Specials. From 7 AM to 8 AM, you can order off the Lil Breakfast or Little Breakfast menu for $7.99. From 11 AM to 2 PM, you can order a 1/2 sandwich (turkey, ham, tuna, or +$1 club) and a side for $8.99. I ordered the H.O.T.G. Scramble: a split open biscuit topped with homemade sausage patties, 3 scrambled eggs, and bacon sausage gravy served with house potatoes. The platter was humongous and could easily serve 2 adults! You can add cheddar cheese for $0.80, but I don't think it's needed. Hearty breakfast. Other customers seemed comfortable or familiar with the manager Heather, who is sweet, cheery, and hospitable. I spoke with one married couple who make rounds to all 3 locations of Hot Off The Griddle and know the owners, managers, and staff, who have memorized their usual orders and don't even need to hand them a menu. The husband ordered a Denver Omelette. The wife ordered the same as I did, but her usual order is the regular Eggs Benedict. When I entered on a weekday morning, I was allowed to choose anywhere to sit. Plenty of sunshine with walls of windows. Clean and comfortable. Outdoor dining area available. Ketchup, Cholula, and Tabasco on tables. Vaneli's Monster coffee served here, as well as Vaneli's OJ and iced tea. Beer, wine, and cocktails (i.e., huge mimosa menu, screwdriver, Paloma, margarita, Michelada) available. For a charming breakfast spot, I recommend visiting H.O.T.G.

Haven't been here in years but was glad I came. This place had good food. The service was awesome. The place was quiet but started to fill up. I ordered the jitterbug scramble which was really good. The gravy that comes with it is really good, and I'm not a gravy person at all. They have a large selections of lemonade, I tried the green apple one, amazing! The French toast is okay. Nothing spectacular

The chicken fried steak was one of the best I've had. The potatoes were full of flavor and tender. Huge fan of the pancakes, had a crispy texture that was amazing. Can't wait to explore more of the menu!

Okay enough place for a casual meal. I've been visiting the many & various breakfast / brunch places around Roseville recently. Hot off the Griddle here is in the middle of the pack for quality, quantity and overall satisfaction. Big plus was that the place was quiet, plenty of outdoor patio tables available. Barbara and I bought the family wolf pack (3 Labrador retrievers). Back corner table was perfect. Service was cheerful and prompt but unfortunately not very accurate. I asked for my glass of juice 3 times before it finally arrived. I ordered over easy eggs and was given scrambled. I asked for decaf coffee, got fully leaded. L'li breakfast with biscuits and gravy wasn't that little. The biscuits were pretty doughy. The gravy was slightly sweet instead of salty. The two sausages were delicious. Scrambled eggs were way overcooked and cold when placed before me. Barbara's order was more accurate. And she got a nice little bowl of fresh fruit on the side. We exited fully fed. I skipped lunch. I like Mario's Early Toast better. Food there is more delicious. Next stop on my search for brunch wonderfulness is Brookfield's.

Kids meal

Picked this spot for breakfast mainly for the kids menu and because it was near a coffee shop we wanted to try. Honestly it wasn't anything super special. I ordered the small plate of biscuits and gravy and it didn't have nearly as much gravy as I would've liked for that biscuit size! The egg was nicely cooked at least and the egg yolk helped, but overall The dish was just very flavorless unfortunately. The apples were brown too and looked a little too sketchy to eat. The kids meal was a good portion, plenty for two toddlers to share. I think their portion was actually more than mine. But otherwise nothing memorable about this place to make me want to return.

A surprisingly good place for breakfast/brunch that was found through Yelp! The menu had a lot of good choices, made it difficult for us to choose what to order as the breakfast and lunch options sounded all good. I opted for a mushroom & spinach omelette and the eggs were cooked to perfection. A pancake or toast were options given with my meal and a pumpkin pancake was offered so I chose that! My son in law opted for the chicken fried steak which he upgraded for a couple dollars and it was delicious, lightly seasoned and fried and a very tasty gravy that came with it. He also opted for pancakes instead of toast! We sat outdoors as it was nice and sunny and enjoyed the fresh air. Our server was very helpful and accommodating. She gave us extra gravy to take home with our leftovers! This place is a definite must try!!!

Service was excellent and friendly. Had the home made corned beef hash which was very very good and a good sized helping! I will definitely go back.

While supercharging our Tesla, we looked for a place for lunch nearby and found this delightful restaurant just across the parking lot. Our darling waitress was a ray of sunshine. She was flying around that restaurant keeping way too many many customers happy. She must surely be exhausted by the end of her workday. Our food was very good and fairly priced. I loved my French toast side order. We did, however, find the au juice for the French dip too salty. The fries are the best ever!... crisp and not greasy. YAY! The store is clean as are the restrooms and the artwork on the walls is eye-catching and interesting.

An Absolute Gem with Impeccable Service! I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Hot Off the Griddle. From start to finish, it was a perfect meal. Let's start with the food: the blue cheese burger was fantastic--juicy, cooked to perfection, and packed with flavor. But the real star of the show were the fries, which were honestly the best I've ever had. They were crispy, seasoned beautifully, lightly battered and absolutely addictive. To wash it all down, I had a mimosa, and it was fresh, bubbly, and the perfect complement to the meal. Beyond the food, the service was truly impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made me feel so welcome. Heather is an absolute gem! And Sean, the owner has such a great vibe! I also loved the outdoor seating area. It was a lovely spot to enjoy my food, and the fact that it's pet-friendly was the cherry on top. I'll definitely be bringing my cat back with me next time! Highly, highly recommended!

I'm not a fan of onions, so I did not have those, but it was nice to have the lettuce and the tomatoes have that nice taste when it hasn't been smothered in BBQ sauce or others as it's being cooked by the chicken like other places prepare them. I honestly left satisfied. This place really did live up to the recommendations and reputation it has. Our gym, Positive Impact Fitness always talks about this place and it was really worth it. The Owner's Yelp business description states they "specialize in breakfast", which sounded awesome. Reviews and photos looked so promising. Our experience was nothing like what others have shared though :( The space is nice and spacious, with an old school vibe which we liked, and we were so hopeful upon entering for the first time. Service was polite enough...but felt insincere and disinterested in taking good care of the customer. The one employee who I felt actually cared was the hostess, but the waitstaff seem to just be going through the motions. We shared it was our first time coming and we were excited to treat ourselves to a rare breakfast out. We needed a few extra minutes to study the menu since it was our first visit, but then we got forgotten about. I attempted to catch the waitresses attention numerous times with no success. After waiting about ten minutes longer than was reasonable, I did seek out the hostess's help in tracking down someone who could take our order. She was super apologetic, but of course it wasn't her job as she was busy seating people and handling her own tasks. The biggest disappointment was the food - in looking back at the photos the French toast we ordered looked nothing like the photos - first, when I asked what the difference between the 1/2 and full order was we were told it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices. That definitely seemed to justify the price so we ordered a half order for my young boy and I to share. What came out was shockingly different - it was two tiny slices of bread that looked like the inexpensive sliced grocery store bread. Because it was already small thinly sliced bread before being cooked, it was truly tiny once plated. We were honestly surprised they felt comfortable serving it. Maybe they ran out of their thick large French toast bread? No matter, they certainly shouldn't have served what we received though. It was confusing and embarrassing, IMO. So, we were misinformed that it was a 4 slice portion when it was 2 small thin slices of bread cut in half...that is not 4 slices of French toast. And then the waitress didn't come around our entire meal so I couldn't inquire about it until we were done. I ended up giving the French toast to my boy who ate it all in under 120 seconds, no joke (because there wasn't much to eat) and then he said he was still hungry. I, too, was quite hungry. Other family members agreed that the taste was good, but nothing special, and the servings did not match the high prices. So, the food was tasty enough but the portions were unreasonably small and do not justify the price, the service lacks greatly, and the misinformation was truly disappointing and misleading. When I did politely ask at the end about why she said it was 4 slices vs. 6 slices the waitress backpedaled stating she meant it was 4 halves vs. 6 halves...and then she apologized that we were leaving hungry and offered me a biscuit. ??? Why would I want a biscuit? I just wanted the meal the waitress told me I was ordering. I wanted what some previous customers have shared in their photos here. The French toast in the photos here on Yelp looks legit and exactly what we wanted and expected...again, so odd the kitchen staff felt comfortable plating up the order we received. Zero quality control there. Honestly, it was just a weird and disappointing experience that had us leaving hungry and unsatisfied, so we went home and prepared a meal there. We are super chill people with realistic expectations, so for us to struggle with this first experience says a lot about how subpar it was. The price of a soft drink is unreasonable as well ($5) - which isn't a huge deal, but with the disappointing food it was just the icing on the cake. A large cup is served but it's completely filled with ice. When asked if we wanted a refill she brought a small cup over with 85% ice and some soda, using that small cup to refill the large cup...splashing soda all over the table and then having to use her dirty damp rag shoved in her apron pocket to clean it up around our food plates, which was definitely unsanitary and made us cringe. There were customers there though - not sure if they were first-timers like us due to the new Farmers Market, but maybe they do have a repeat clientele so none of this matters to them because they can keep their doors open without new customers like us. Sad to try a local business we were excited about and then have this disappointing experience. We envisioned making trips to the new Farmers Market across the street often and then enjoying a wonderful breakfast afterwards, as a nice new Saturday morning tradition. Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant.

Between the time of the first check & "now", she HAD fallen on the semi-wet floor & couldn't get up by herself. My wife has Parkinson's disease . I helped her up but we had to leave immediately for the Emergency Room - she had broken something in her arm! After casting her wrist (& having x-rays of her head, neck wrist, & arm), we drove home. The next day, Wednesday, January 21st, I talked with another friend at Huckelberries while I was picking up an Arnold Palmer for my wife, I jokingly said that we should sue the establishment. After a couple of laughs, I reiterated that this was just a joke. She shared this information with Dominic, her manager. Dominic immediately texted me saying we could no longer eat there. Also if ANYONE working there talked with myself or my wife, they would be fired immediately! I shared with him that I had been joking & I stated that we would not do anything more. I was just JOKING.
