Based on the Yelp reviews, we decided to give HOTG a try. When we arrived, there was only one other occupied table. There appeared to only be two employees at the time - one taking care of the front of house and the other in the kitchen. The counter, area behind it, and parts of the kitchen we could see all appeared very cluttered, so we weren't that sure about the overall cleanliness of the restaurant. Being that there weren't any orders ahead of ours, the food came out quickly and was made to order. The bacon was cooked well, but incredibly greasy (over and above what is normal for bacon). The burritos and other dishes were tasty, but there wasn't anything to make the meals stand out as something special. If you are looking for a good, hearty meal, HOTG will hit the spot.

We stopped here this morning with the grandparents after my son's TK graduation. We wanted a breakfast spot close to his school and chose this place based on the great reviews. The food was delicious, and the portions were generous. I easily could have shared my meal! Our table ordered the California omelet, the Farmer's omelet, a veggie omelet, and my son loved his chocolate chip pancakes. The service was excellent. Our server was highly attentive, frequently checking in to refill our coffees and ensure we had everything we needed. They also have a cute, casual outdoor patio area if you prefer to sit outside. It is a wonderful little spot for a casual family breakfast!

Nothing to change-super friendly staff, really clean inside & outside! It was a bit too windy to eat outside today! Menu covers just about everything one would like!

Tuna melt was good! Had substance and good flavor. Got cheddar cheese instead of American. The onion rings were lightly breaded and crispy; good portion. Fries were also good and crispy. Server gave us extra fries since the portion on the plate was small.

Hot Off The Griddle is a breakfast, lunch, brunch open daily 7 AM to 2 PM located on Granite Dr in Rocklin, where Barn Burner used to be. Early Bird and Lunch Specials. From 7 AM to 8 AM, you can order off the Lil Breakfast or Little Breakfast menu for $7.99. From 11 AM to 2 PM, you can order a 1/2 sandwich (turkey, ham, tuna, or +$1 club) and a side for $8.99. I ordered the H.O.T.G. Scramble: a split open biscuit topped with homemade sausage patties, 3 scrambled eggs, and bacon sausage gravy served with house potatoes. The platter was humongous and could easily serve 2 adults! You can add cheddar cheese for $0.80, but I don't think it's needed. Hearty breakfast. Other customers seemed comfortable or familiar with the manager Heather, who is sweet, cheery, and hospitable. I spoke with one married couple who make rounds to all 3 locations of Hot Off The Griddle and know the owners, managers, and staff, who have memorized their usual orders and don't even need to hand them a menu. The husband ordered a Denver Omelette. The wife ordered the same as I did, but her usual order is the regular Eggs Benedict. When I entered on a weekday morning, I was allowed to choose anywhere to sit. Plenty of sunshine with walls of windows. Clean and comfortable. Outdoor dining area available. Ketchup, Cholula, and Tabasco on tables. Vaneli's Monster coffee served here, as well as Vaneli's OJ and iced tea. Beer, wine, and cocktails (i.e., huge mimosa menu, screwdriver, Paloma, margarita, Michelada) available. For a charming breakfast spot, I recommend visiting H.O.T.G.

The service was great in this cute little cafe. However, my "over medium" eggs were actually over easy, completely liquid. When I asked our server, she said that's how they're supposed to be - "just the white part cooked". Then, I wonder, what would over easy be...raw? LOL. The chicken fried steak and gravy was quite good.

Good food. Huge portions. Little pricey. Friendly service. Ample seating area. If I was to nitpick, the potatoes were a bit salty for me & side of fruit seemed dry. My plus one said pancakes were a little chewy for his taste.

Service? Excellent. Food? GENEROUS. Taste? Outstanding. This is the kind of place that LOADS UP your plate. Bf and I shared the XL combo and still had some leftover. 10/10 would come back.

i went here on a sunday (mother's day) afternoon at 1pm and we waited about 15 minutes for a table. we were waiting a lot for us to order and get our food, but it was mother's day so we understood the were busy. the staff was friendly but they did forget to input our to go order, so we had to wait even longer. the food was pretty good. i personally got the biscuits and gravy and it was not my favorite so i'd definitely order something different next time.

Haven't been here in years but was glad I came. This place had good food. The service was awesome. The place was quiet but started to fill up. I ordered the jitterbug scramble which was really good. The gravy that comes with it is really good, and I'm not a gravy person at all. They have a large selections of lemonade, I tried the green apple one, amazing! The French toast is okay. Nothing spectacular

Okay enough place for a casual meal. I've been visiting the many & various breakfast / brunch places around Roseville recently. Hot off the Griddle here is in the middle of the pack for quality, quantity and overall satisfaction. Big plus was that the place was quiet, plenty of outdoor patio tables available. Barbara and I bought the family wolf pack (3 Labrador retrievers). Back corner table was perfect. Service was cheerful and prompt but unfortunately not very accurate. I asked for my glass of juice 3 times before it finally arrived. I ordered over easy eggs and was given scrambled. I asked for decaf coffee, got fully leaded. L'li breakfast with biscuits and gravy wasn't that little. The biscuits were pretty doughy. The gravy was slightly sweet instead of salty. The two sausages were delicious. Scrambled eggs were way overcooked and cold when placed before me. Barbara's order was more accurate. And she got a nice little bowl of fresh fruit on the side. We exited fully fed. I skipped lunch. I like Mario's Early Toast better. Food there is more delicious. Next stop on my search for brunch wonderfulness is Brookfield's.

Picked this spot for breakfast mainly for the kids menu and because it was near a coffee shop we wanted to try. Honestly it wasn't anything super special. I ordered the small plate of biscuits and gravy and it didn't have nearly as much gravy as I would've liked for that biscuit size! The egg was nicely cooked at least and the egg yolk helped, but overall The dish was just very flavorless unfortunately. The apples were brown too and looked a little too sketchy to eat. The kids meal was a good portion, plenty for two toddlers to share. I think their portion was actually more than mine. But otherwise nothing memorable about this place to make me want to return.

A surprisingly good place for breakfast/brunch that was found through Yelp! The menu had a lot of good choices, made it difficult for us to choose what to order as the breakfast and lunch options sounded all good. I opted for a mushroom & spinach omelette and the eggs were cooked to perfection. A pancake or toast were options given with my meal and a pumpkin pancake was offered so I chose that! My son in law opted for the chicken fried steak which he upgraded for a couple dollars and it was delicious, lightly seasoned and fried and a very tasty gravy that came with it. He also opted for pancakes instead of toast! We sat outdoors as it was nice and sunny and enjoyed the fresh air. Our server was very helpful and accommodating. She gave us extra gravy to take home with our leftovers! This place is a definite must try!!!

We finally made it to Four Sisters Cafe, and it is absolutely the best breakfast/lunch restaurant…read morewe've tried since moving here a year ago. The food, service, and ambiance were all terrific and made for a comfortable, delicious experience we will be returning to soon. We had tried going there once before about 6 months ago, but the wait was too long for our schedule that day. Yesterday, our party of four showed up at 11, and the wait was only 10 minutes. Our server, Kristin, was amazing. She answered our questions perfectly and without hesitation; she was always there to refill iced tea and bring anything additional we needed - the service was flawless in every way. We were at a booth for four, and the booths are comfortable and clean. The layout of the restaurant is efficient, and perfect for the dining experience FSC is offering. And the food? Off the charts 5/5! I hadn't had pancakes in a long time, so I ordered the blueberry pancakes. The two pancakes were both massive and delicious. Fresh blueberries in the batter and on top, and they were perfectly ripe and flavorful. I can't envision anyone actually finishing all of it, but I was happy to take home leftovers. The pancakes were fluffy and light, among the best I have ever had. I also had a side of the house-cured bacon, which I requested crispy, and which arrived perfectly crispy and delicious. Mrs. K had the blue cheese burger and loved it. I was granted a taste, and I agreed. Juicy, prepared exactly as ordered, and served with exceptional fries that were crispy outside and soft inside. Our friends had various forms of eggs and bacon, including a dish FSC calls Beggin' For Bacon. The egg dishes looked perfect, and our friends confirmed they tasted as perfect as they looked. FSC gets a ton of 5-star reviews, and they deserve every one. We will be returning soon and often, and obviously, I highly recommend FSC for your next breakfast/lunch outing.

When the weather is nice sitting outside is awesome. It's shaded and pleasant. They do allow dogs to sit outside, and I did witness a doggy disagreement, so if you are dog averse maybe ask to be seated inside. The service is wonderful. They are very attentive and all look like they are hustling. It is a wonderful experience to know that they care about their customers. Drinks are constantly refilled, and they constantly check in on you in a non annoying way. The food is where I disagree with most of the reviews here. My first time there I got the corned beef and hash. The corned beef was great, the potatoes could be so much better though. They need to be crisp and well seasoned, they were neither. Maybe you can ask for them extra crispy? The next time I visited I had a BBQ chicken sandwich. The chicken was kinda dry, the sauce tasted good though. I also didn't like how it was assembled, it seemed kinda tossed on the bun and sent out. They are so busy here, and I wish they would just take a little extra time in the kitchen to make the food as great as the service. This is like a 3.5 star, with the great service and the decent food. Would I ever come here out of choice? Probably not. Would I throw up a big fuss if friends wanted to come here? Nah, I'd go without issue. Maybe I haven't found my meal here yet.

I've never had a server spill on me twice during the same meal--and after the second spill, she handed me a towel to clean myself up. There was little acknowledgment or accountability, which made an already awkward situation even more disappointing. We also ordered the Mimosa Flight Bouquet, but none of the flavors were identified when it arrived. We were left guessing which mimosa was which, which took away from what should have been a fun experience. I initially ordered the roasted rosemary potatoes, but they were undercooked and overloaded with large slices of bell peppers and onions. I decided to order something else, but then the waitress forgot to bring the juice that accompanies the mimosa. She brought the champagne, but no juice. We reminded her, and it still took additional time to receive it. Overall, the food was just okay. Out of our party of six: * The El Dorado omelet was good, although it was served warm rather than hot. * The bacon and ham skillet was enjoyed. * The chorizo maple skillet reminded me of a McDonald's breakfast with eggs--not something I'd order again. Everyone has an off day, and mistakes happen. What made this experience disappointing was the lack of communication, ownership, and effort to make things right. I hope this was just an isolated experience because the restaurant has potential.

Great food, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back and hope to have Sara as our server again. Highly recommend!

This place can get busy during the lunch hours but we were seated quickly and the host was so kind. Our server was also very kind and made sure we had plenty of time to review the menu. He kept checking on us and answered our questions. The food was delicious. I ate all of my sandwich and per my server's recommendation, I got the potato salad instead of the pasta salad. This potato salad was SO GOOD! I ate all of it and enjoyed every bite. When I go back, I would like to try a dessert. There was just no room today. Overall, this place is worth checking out! I am already looking forward to going back.

If you like crispy tater tots and heavy mayo-based sauces in your breakfast burrito, this one isn't for you. But if you just want a classic burrito with plenty of bacon, good melted cheese, perfect ratio of egg/meat/potato, get the David's wrap. Price was reasonable too. It's not the biggest burrito but not the smallest either. To be honest, I was a little turned off at first. Not because it was in a gas station (that actually gives me higher expectations), but because I asked for the burrito and was given one premade out of the warmer. Also, maybe I didn't look around very much, but I didn't see any salsa. When I got home and tried it though, it was pretty perfect. Tortilla maybe a little burnt, but besides that perfect. Luckily I had a good hot runny salsa at home which works perfect for breakfast burritos. I'll be back next time and ask if they have salsa though - that would push it to 5 stars (if the salsa is good I guess).
