My bro and I ended up getting one of the green quarter circle booths and got the perfect spot for people watching. Side boobs and badonkadonks were zipping by left and right, and everyone was dressed to impress! Felt like a popular local dating spot. Def would take our own ladies for a date night one of these days. We had the chicken truffle mushroom ravioli and truffle mushroom risotto and the food was pretty good as well. I had made a comment to the waiter how I was dealing with GI issues and prefer the risotto well cooked. She replied and asked whether I would need to lessen the truffle oil. My party was seated and served quite quickly as it was a late lunch so it wasn't peak hours. Inside looked very trendy and aesthetic in their decor and seating. It was overall nicely done and looked very cohesive. The short rib plate was listed at $36 on 8/29/2025. The meat was tender and well cooked. I enjoyed the protein ratio to the side ratio. The serving size was quite nice for the scale of this restaurant, which was more upscale. My friends had several cocktails and they enjoyed all the varieties they tried. It was light and refreshing and had a light sauce so you could still taste the greens. Had the short ribs for the main dish. Isabell, our waitress, was an absolute gem -- so sweet, attentive, and kind throughout the evening. Service was great too, everything just flowed really well. We're all vegetarian, so I was actually really happy with how many veg options they had (a lot of Italian places around here don't). For apps, we got the truffle bruschetta and the burrata. Only thing is, I thought the burrata would come as a full ball, but it was on toast pieces but pretty similar to the bruschetta. Looking back, we probably would've just ordered one. For mains, we kind of went all in on truffle...truffle risotto, truffle ravioli, plus a margherita pizza and fries. And honestly, some of the best truffle we've had in the Sacramento area. Everything was really flavorful and just done right, no complaints at all. Our first time at Mia Restaurant & Bar. We came in for a very early dinner and to celebrate a birthday. From the time we walked through the door and until we were finished and left, the service we received from each member of the staff was excellent. Last time I wrote a review they had just opened. Walking in you get greeted by the wonderful staff . Everyone is very attentive here I mean they go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. I had that experience the first time I came here and also the last nothing has changed. The inside is beautiful and elegant. They have a nice bar area . They have an amazing kids menu my son got the kids burger and fries the burger was delicious it comes as two sliders perfect size . Here to celebrate Mother's Day! We were a party of six, and the check-in process was seamless. We were seated immediately in a cute booth where the family snapped lots of photos. Drinks: The pomegranate martini, Prosecco rosé, and lemonade were all a hit with the family. Appetizer: The arugula salad was another favorite, and my wife and daughter were able to share it comfortably. One small issue our son-in-law's smoked whiskey wasn't delivered with everyone else's drinks, but my wife mentioned it to the waiter, and he quickly followed up and brought it out. Our entrees were chicken tenders and fries for my children not pictured, the chicken was cooked really well, but also lacking flavor wise. And the adults ordered skirt steak that was very flavorful, and cooked to perfection, and salmon that was cooked perfectly with a crisp outer crust, yet tender and juicy still. We also had mashed potatoes and vegetables that came with our entrees, the flavor was definitely there, with these plates, but my spinach was extremely oily, and made my stomach upset. We booked a table for our anniversary after seeing beautiful TikTok videos showing amazing food and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, our actual experience was completely different. When I showed the server a dish from their own TikTok and asked about ordering it, I was told that the food in the video was just made for advertising on TikTok and Facebook and wasn't actually on their menu. That was very disappointing and felt misleading. The food we did order did not taste good and was definitely not worth the price. We were three people--my wife, my daughter, and me--and spent almost $165 for three dishes and three drinks. The service was also very poor. Our server took our order, brought the food, and then basically disappeared. He never came back to check on us. When we were ready to leave, we couldn't even find our server to ask for the bill. We finally asked another employee, and it still took about 15 minutes to receive the check. Whenever we asked questions about the food, the staff didn't seem knowledgeable about their own menu. We were told, "We just changed the menu yesterday." Interestingly, a friend of mine went there two days later and was given the same excuse when asking about the menu. Another thing that made us uncomfortable was hearing staff talk about customers among themselves in Turkish. I understand Turkish, so I understood what they were saying. Talking about customers in front of them because you assume they don't understand your language is very unprofessional and disrespectful. Even when we paid and left, nobody seemed to care or even said goodbye. We chose this restaurant for our anniversary because the social media videos made it look like a special place. Unfortunately, it ended up being a very disappointing anniversary dinner. For the price, I expected much better food, much better service, and much more professionalism. This is a cute gem of a restaurant. I am happy they were taking walk-in's the time I came. Firstly the restaurants GORGEOUS, it's very minimal but with a plant aesthetics. The light fixtures and the women's bathroom were really cool too. There are pink feathers everywhere on the ceiling in there! The service was great, the host was not as attentive in the beginning but she started to come around more and asked if things were great and if we wanted anything else. Basically a bunch of seafood in a tomato bisque. He really enjoyed it. Our friend ordered the grilled salmon, she said it was good. The desserts were good. Affogato was good. We got a couple of cocktails, the seafood pizza, lamb shank, and ribeye. The sapphire cocktail was sweet and beautiful in the diamond shaped glass. The lamb shank was fall off the bone good and paired wonderfully with the mushroom risotto. The ribeye was perfectly cooked and juicy. The seafood pizza was a little bit of a let down. The crust was soggy and not as unique as I thought. We also got the basque cheesecake for dessert paired with a dark chocolate syrup. It was probably my favorite cheesecake in long time. It was creamy and decadent and the chocolate elevated it even more. They also offer complimentary bread upon request. Service was fantastic. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. When we got seated our server Marco was equally gracious and had some great recommendations. Took some out of town family here for a dinner before they left. We each ordered a pasta dish and calamari for the table. Everything was delicious and my portion was HUGE. I ate what I could and gave the rest to my family to share. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the beef was tender. There are many spots in the restaurant to take cute photos. Came here on Mother's Day so I definitely don't recommend doing that. We had a 2:15pm reservations but still waited 20 minutes until seated we could be seated. And that's WITH a reservation. The food was average but pricey and the service soooo slow. The drinks come in tiny cups, the food in tiny bowls. All we ordered really were apps and salads and that took over an hour. Showed up at 2:15pm and left at 4:20pm for reference to how long lunch was. Here's some ratings on things we ate... Bread bowl - super good and olive oil is great 5/5 House salad - way over dressed and soggy but the dressing is very tasty, just too much. 3/5 Mango salad - 3/5 - just wouldn't ever order again.
