OK THE BETTER QUESTION IS WHAT DID NOT GO WELL!!! This was SUCH a fun experience!! In order to get tickets, you need to register on the ibotta.com site, at least a week in advance. They will email you if you're in and if you respond quickly you get priority access which guarantees entry. Plan on being there about 5 hours, there was a lot of waiting around prior to entry in the studio but the crew did everything they could to entertain us and keep us updated. Once you're in the studio, I was shocked at how small it was. The show itself was so fun to watch, and beyond impressive that nothing took more than 1 take! I'd do this 100x over!!

Great way to host a friend in the city. Security is a little overkill and annoying but also nice if you talk one on one to them. Jordan hosted the show. Very funny. Kevin bacon was on. Pretty fast show.

What a cool experience! These people have things nailed down to a science. It was super easy to request tickets to a taping on 1iota.com. You choose a date that's still available and wait for an email. I had a GA ticket, but still decided to show up early to ensure I would get in because the instructions said admission was not guaranteed. The call time was 4:30 p.m., but I decided to show up at 3:15 p.m. They were nice enough to let us inside the building early since it was so cold outside. On the day I went, the temperature was in the 20s. I had a big backpack with me, which is not allowed inside the studio. But they have bag check. Use the bathrooms whenever you can before heading into the studio, because once you enter and sit down, you cannot come back if you leave. Expect a lot of sitting around and waiting, so definitely bring something to keep you entertained. You HAVE to turn your cell phone off once production begins. They make it a very clear point that if your phone goes off or if you're caught using it during the taping that you will be kicked out. They'll have a comedian warm the crowd up before things begin. Shoutout to Harrison, because he was funny as hell. Production began around 6:00 p.m. and we wrapped up around 7:15 p.m. Our host was Desi Lydic and she did not do Q&A after like I heard some hosts do, which is okay because I was ready to get outta there after sitting for so long. They do quite a few audience shots, so I actually saw myself a few times in the episode that aired that night. So cool! Definitely recommend for anyone visiting NYC!

Requested tickets through the 1iota website to see the Daily Show in NYC. I would have loved to see John Stewart but he is only on Mondays. I arrived around 3:30 thinking I was early and was going to eat in the area beforehand but they gave me the impression that if I didn't get in line soon I might not get in. So someone suggested the deli store at the corner so I picked up a sandwich and ate while in line. They allowed us to use the restroom in groups. We finally went in the studio around 5pm. Although I sat on the last row in the middle, it was a great seat. The warm up comedian asking questions from the audience was very funny. Jordan Klepper was the comedian host of the show. He is known for his "Fingers on the Pulse" segments. Maya Hawke was the guest and also sang with her group. It was a great show. We were out a few minutes after 7pm.

Came for Hasan minhaj hosting! You have to get tickets online; they release about 2 weeks before. You can get a maximum of 2 tickets per person applying and they let you know by email if you get them. But that doesn't guarantee you entry into the studio. They have 1) VIP 2) priority 3) general admission tickets. I ended up with GA, not sure how you get the other tickets. You show up the day of the taping and you line up in your respective categories. VIP and priority are pretty much guaranteed admission (my guess is 50-60 people in those groups combined) with the rest of the 200 capacity studio being filled by GA. You can line up earlier for GA and they let in as many as they can until it's full. I don't know if I should share this, but I will ... I got there by 3:30, ticket 138 and 139. We were seated in the back, and the people who got the last seats said they lined up for GA at 340. So depending on the host and popularity, aim for 3:30PM (this was a Monday showing). You can save a place for your guest until 4PM and if they don't arrive by then you either go without them or go to the back. You get into the studio about 5PM, warm up comic and a clip or 2 until 6. And the actual taping with the host, live show, guest goes until 6:50-7PM.

The Daily Show w/ Trevor Noah is located in Midtown close enough to Columbus Circle, Sesamo Restaurant and CBS Studios among other great places. We had to attend The Daily Show because not only is it a fantastic show, but it will simply not be the same w/ out Trevor Noah when he leaves the show next month....He will be missed. Although it was raining off and on the day we went on a Monday afternoon, it was imperative that we were there and we had such a good time. When we arrived there were a few people waiting outside but then we were told that it was too early to form a line. We had General Admission Tickets. We went to get some lunch and returned to see that General Admission section develop into a long line. Daily Show Workers kept the line very organized, answered individuals questions and provided information throughout the duration of time we were outside on the line. Security and other Daily Show Staff are so kind/courteous to everyone and that was much appreciated. They ensured that the bathroom facilities could be used before going up to the studio to be seated. Going through the metal detectors and Bag Check occurred w/ ease. The Daily Show w/ Trevor Noah conducted audience seating quickly. The Warm Up Comic was absolutely hilarious. He did a wonderful job of telling jokes, of interacting w/ us audience members, of getting us hyped up and ready for the show, etc. There is no Daily Show w/ out Trevor Noah and once he walked out (w/ no introduction so we were surprised that he walked out suddenly-lol) everyone erupted w/ applause, whistles, etc. The Daily Show covers major headlining stories/news that include politics, music & performing arts, history, etc. Trevor Noah is captivating, charming and an overall thoroughly entertaining talk show host. During this Season 28 Episode 12 taping, Trevor Noah discussed the excitement as well as racial backlash regarding Rishi Sunak becoming Britain's New Prime Minister as well as other topics that affect the current political climate. The Special Guest was Denzel Washington's Son Actor John David Washington. John David talked about his acting career which includes films Tenet, Malcolm & Marie, Amsterdam (currently in theaters) and his current performance on Broadway in August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. Absolutely Fantastic Show! Website - www.cc.com/shows/the-daily-show-with-trevor-noah Instagram - @thedailyshow Twitter - @TheDailyShow Website- www.trevornoah.com Instagram-@trevornoah Twitter- @Trevornoah The Daily Show allows audience members to take pictures in the studio before they begin taping. As a "picture person" I was grateful. How many shows let individuals take pictures in the actual studio??!! Thank you to The Daily Show w/ Trevor Noah for the nice experience.

It was so exciting to be at the taping of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah before it ended for good. I managed to get priority tickets, so my friend and I got to the studio fairly early at 2:30PM. We were some of the first few guests to get in line. It wasn't so bad to wait in line outside because there were glowing red heaters overhead, which also made for awesome lighting in photos of us. After a short while, our IDs and COVID vaccines were checked, then our tickets scanned. We were given yellow colored tickets. Then we were let inside within a waiting room and thankfully we were able to get seats. We ended up having to wait until past 5PM, which was over an hour and a half. Finally, we were seated in the awesome looking studio. My friend and I were in the 3rd row center, which gave us an amazing and very up close view of Trevor Noah and special guest. The comedian was quite hilarious and really interactive with the audience. Soon enough, Trevor appeared and was so good looking, as well as charming especially with his accent. He covered a few current events, such as Trump's dinner party with Kanye West, protests in China {believe me, that's a BIG deal}, World Cup and so on. It was so cool to hear Trevor's unique and woke take on everything. Then came the special guest, which to our joy, was none other than Will Smith! It was such a treat to see Will in person, and the interaction between him and Trevor Noah was a beautiful exchange. We got to hear about Will Smith's current projects {Emancipation, a story about freedom rather than slavery + "Welcome to Earth" a travel show focusing on the wisdom of the world's most remote places}, as well as what went on in his mind during that fateful night at The Oscars. Will talked about incredible faith, having love in your heart as more powerful than fear / hate and using love as your shield and armor. He also talked about allowing himself to be human and a part of that is making mistakes. The underlying message was not to judge based on the worst thing someone has done, but instead to look at the sum of all parts. It was all so emotional and I felt privileged to have witnessed this in real life. And it made my heart full that we as an audience were able to welcome Will warmly and show that we love, as well as accept him. Also, I loved Trevor's final words, "it's scary to think we cannot afford a person to be their best, but instead we can afford a person to be their worst." Let's not be that world.

I had such an awesome experience with the live taping of the Daily Show! I went on a Monday (Veterans Day) so Jon Stewart was the host. He was amazing - hilarious and talented, as expected. They also had a good warm-up comedian to get the audience going. My friend got tickets for free through 1iota.com (where you can also get tickets for the View, Kelly Clarkson Show, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert etc.) Security was fairly demanding. We were in line by 3:30pm, seated around 5pm and done before 7pm. Would recommend for locals and visitors both!

This is such a FUN experience and I had the honor of seeing Trevor Noah before he left the Daily Show So here was my general ticket experience. Pre-Show I arrived at about 2:45pm for a 3:30pm call time. I was towards the front of the line with maybe 10-15 people ahead of me if that helps you gauge your time. It was a fairly sunny and not too cold day so I don't know if that as to any lineup experience. At 3:30 PM they ask for your ticket, ID, Covid vaccine proof. Once that's done you get a ticket and a number indicating your spot in line. Priority and VIPs go in first. At 4pm General admission line moves to where the priority groups were and line up against the wall under heat lamps. This was my least favorite part cause my head was burning and we were out there for another hour. During this time they're giving everyone bathroom breaks because there are no battery breaks during showtime. At 5pm we went through "TSA" and if you had a large bag you checked it in at the front. Walking into the studio felt SO cool and staff were really organized and assertively kind (get to where you're going but enjoy yourself kind of vibes). When you sit down, you're free to take pictures but once the warm-up comic comes up, phones away or they will take you out. Showtime I LOVED it. The warm-up comic talked to many random people in group of about 200 he got to me and asked me if you questions and it was all laughs and fun! Trevor came out of no where and everyone went wild. Honestly, Trevor is the kind of guy that just makes you feel comfortable matter who you are. You can even ask him questions between the scenes so get a good question ready! Post Show Show runs about an hour, from when Trevor gets on and that's it! You leave with lots of laughs and memories :) Overall: 4 stars cause of that 2 hour standing and waiting. I'd bring a snack in prep for the line (you could also grab Subway right on that block). I'd absolutely do this again cause I love Trevor's show but I'll be more prepared. Also, no matter what ticket number you are, not a bad seat in the house yall. Not one

I was super excited and honored to get tickets on the IOTA website for a Trevor Noah taping as I am a fan of him and his show. We arrived on a hot summer day for the "priority" tickets and were given a paper ticket with our number. After that, we had to wait for about 1 hour in the heat to get into the theater and then ANOTHER hour inside of the studio for the show to start. Once the show started , they showed some of the pre-recorded content which was entertaining and Trevor did his show super efficiently and fast . The whole thin was over in about 45 minutes, which was very short for the amount of waiting . I was also disappointed that Trevor did not talk to the audience a whole lot. He did a super short 'reflection' in between takes but there was little to no interaction. I think a lot can be improved to avoid such lengthy waits, there is no need to have people wait two hours when they have numbered tickets IMHO. Great experience and I am glad I did it , but would probably not do it again and would not recommend it

Ask the Community - The Daily Show

Hi, I was able to secure 1 guarantee ticket last night, but was a little confused if I could bring along a +1 or not (the detail was not too clear). Does my ticket allow me to do so? Or does my +1 have to also get another ticket? Thanks!

It does not allow you a plus one automatically, so your friend would have to get their own ticket. When you print out your reservation the top right corner notes that it only admits one. If you booked more than one ticket in your reservation then…

If the guaranteed tickets are made in my name, does my +1 need to be present at the ticket distribution time? Or, can the +1 arrive later prior to doors open and still be admitted? It's been a few years since I was last at a taping.

Hi there! You're actually not allowed to enter the check-in line unless your party is complete. We do not put tickets on hold. If you check-in without your guest, they will not be able to check-in later, so it's best to wait until they are with you,…

What should you do if you have a backpack ? Is there a place where you can store it?

They have a bag check so no worries!

Does Trevor Noah tape in May?

Yes. All booking occurs at thedailyshow.com/tickets

Anyone know when the ticket release schedule is?

    I would check out this website: https://www.showclix.com/event/TheDailyShowWithTrevorNoah I believe…

This was a fine experience. I'm not really a Fallon fan but the experience of watching a 'live to…read moretape' recording was pretty interested. We didn't have tickets, so we went to the gift shop at 30 rock through the 6th ave entrance to score some stand-by tickets. We arrived what I would call late, at about 11am. If you want to get these stand-by tickets I'd recommend arriving as close to 8am as you can, because every ticket is numbered and they can only fit so many people into the studio (they will always try to fill it). If I recall correctly the tickets said to come back to 30 rock at 3:15 but note - if you arrive a bit later, say 3:30, it won't effect your chances of getting in - the most you can do to increase your chances to see a show that day by walking in is to get there at 8am when they first start giving out the numbered stand-by tickets. Also, while they say you cant bring in bags, I had a smaller sized north face backpack and my friend had a large plastic bag and a small purse. If your number gets you in to see the show that day, you will pass through security like at an airport. Everything is extremely orderly and organized, the only stressful part is 'am I going to get in to see the show or did I just spend an hour and a half of my day for nothing.' My friend and I just got in under the wire, with the guy behind us being the very last person to stand-by for this day's show (there were about 56 stand-by visitors accepted that day). You will have an opportunity to use a bathroom before you sit for the filming, so don't be concerned about that. If you're a fan of TV or of Fallon you might prepare a question or two to ask him, he took a number of questions from the audience. The funniest one was 'are you going to use that entire bit you just did' because Jimmy and Drew Brees spitting pumpkin seeds went on far, far, FAR too long, about 3? minutes, which was about 2:45 longer than it needed to be. Jimmy was quick with the 'no, that's going to be edited down.'

These days, music videos are watched far more often online than on TV. Music videos of the rising talent makes the Video Music Awards a reliable venue for a fun and often avant garde fashion show with Artists taking risks that people young and old might avoid at more traditional award shows. The risks are a good reason to watch or in my case, glimpse the Sunday spectacle on September 7th, which included feathery pastel boas, fluffy hats, bedazzled cups, and a Labubu doll dressed as an astronautical Moon Person! This year's ceremony aired, on CBS owned by Paramount, included Ariana Grande for video of the year; Lady Gaga for artist of the year; Rosé and Bruno Mars for song of the year ("APT."); and Alex Warren for best new artist. Enjoy!

I WANT MY MTV!!!!!!! The early 80s+ anthem!…read more The "I want my MTV" campaign included ads where rock stars such as Pete Townsend and the Police would say "I want my MTV," endorsing the channel. Music Television officially launched on 8-1-1981, airing music videos and related programs hosted by video jockeys, or VJs. Martha Quinn, the "girl next door" VJ still hosts a daily show on Sirius XM Radio's "The 80s on 8" station. MTV dominated pop culture in the 80s! The first words when MTV initially aired were spoken by one of MTV's creators, John Lack: "Ladies and gentlemen, rock and roll." A nod, perhaps, to the iconic, legendary Lemmy Kilmister's opening of every Motorhead show with, "We are Motorhead...And We play rock and roll!" Because of MTV, I threw teenage caution to the wind and paid for my family's cable television! This was a serious commitment in 1981. My favorite artists' videos at that time were Stevie Nicks, Billy Idol, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Police, Ratt (who's autograph I got when they came to Huntsville), U2, ZZ Top, and of course Van Halen (in the David Lee Roth or "Diamond Dave") days! Who can forget the iconic moment Courtney Cox was pulled onstage in the Bruce Springsteen video, "Dancing in the Dark?!" That was an adorable moment and probably a game-changer for her pending generations-long acting career! Stand out videos were Michael Jackson's "Thriller," "Billie Jean," and "Beat it"(all in 1983); "1999" by Prince in 1983; and Whitesnake's "Here I Go Again" featuring Tawny Kitaen in 1987. We were all glued to MTV on July 13, 1985, when MTV showed the Live Aid concerts (broadcasting 16 hours of coverage,) held in London and Philadelphia and organized by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. The 1983 US Festival from 5/28/83-5/30/83 featured Van Halen who headlined on "Heavy Metal Day." To experience VH, my crew and I rented a hotel room (Kings Inn, S. Memorial Parkway, Huntsville - still there to this day); rounded up our 110 cameras, stocked up on fast food takeout, filled the bathtub with ice and cold bottled of Busch, and settled in to watch the show on the room's cable TV and enjoy the swimming pool. ((Good times!!)) Other than a few interesting videos in the 90s, MTV pretty much died for me in the 80s. It was a great ride, though! Thank you MTV!

Chopped has always been a favorite of mine, along with all the competitive chef cook offs and Giada's cooking shows. There's just something about watching talented chefs think on their feet and create amazing dishes under pressure that pulls you in every time. In my early 20s, it was definitely my go to. Whether I was relaxing, looking for inspiration, or just had it on in the background while cooking, Food Network was always playing. It actually helped me grow in the kitchen...learning new techniques, flavor combinations, and getting creative with what I had on hand. I also love the variety of shows they offer. From high level competitions to simple, everyday recipes, there's something for everyone no matter your skill level. It's not just entertaining, it's motivating...especially if you love food or work in the culinary world. Even now, I still find myself tuning in. It's one of those feel-good channels that mixes entertainment, education, and creativity all in one.
