It looks like a soda fountain straight out of a 1940s movie, quaint, and having that old time appeal. We stopped in on a Saturday night when they were in their busiest time of day, but we were seated promptly and they took our order within 10 minutes. The truly amazing part was that there were three high school girls there and no adult supervision and they were doing great . The young lady that waited on us called us y'all and sir. Not only was I impressed, I was also shocked. We kept it simple, so both me and my buddy had a cheeseburger, the best onion rings I've had in a long time, and a chocolate shake. All were delicious and the next time I'm in that area, I'm gonna come in and try something else. I would've left pictures of the food, but all I wanted to do was start eating the minute she set it down. If you're anywhere near this place, stop in and enjoy not only the ambience, but also the friendly service and the great food .

They can get busy at times but let them know if you need something and they will be right on it. They have a good selection of hand-dipped ice cream. There is a daily menu special too. The owner honors veterans and supports the local American Legion members. They have a good Philly cheese steak sandwich and a nice variety on the menu. They usually have some oldies music playing, toys for the kids, and nostalgic decor. Prices are fair. Worth a stop anytime except Sunday, they are closed. ;)

Great Breakfast Spot!…read more I'll start by admitting--I'm not usually a breakfast person. I like it fine, but I'd often rather wait until lunch to start eating for the day. We stopped here on our way back to Tulsa from Branson, and I'm so glad we did! My son had the pancake platter, which he absolutely loved. But the real star? The breakfast sliders. Oh my goodness--these are the BEST breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. The bread is perfect--fluffy on the inside, slightly crispy on the outside. I chose the sausage (bacon and ham are also options), and it was delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, and the cheese paired beautifully. You get two sliders per plate and can choose your side bread item--I went with the house potatoes, which were seasoned perfectly and had the same delightful fluffy-yet-crispy texture as the bread. I could only eat one slider myself and brought the other home for my husband--he texted me the next morning saying it was just as amazing. Our waitress (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) was so kind and welcoming. The place is small and charmingly decorated, adding to the cozy vibe. All in all, we had the best breakfast. This is definitely a must-stop and a place I'll recommend to anyone traveling this way. Highly recommend!

The restaurant has plenty of seating inside, creating a cozy vibe for enjoying your food, plus there are easy to-go options for those on the run. We can't wait to go back for those amazing million-dollar pickles and a bunch of delicious Amish baked goods that are simply unforgettable. The homemade blackberry pie paired perfectly with our homemade ice cream at the lake. On our last visit, we treated ourselves to a freshly made chicken quesadilla that was loaded with flavor and paired perfectly with some zesty salsa. The chicken wrap was just as good, packed with juicy grilled chicken, crunchy veggies, and a tasty sauce, making it a meal we couldn't get enough of. So much better than fast food options and supporting local!

The tenderloin sandwich well executed with a seasoned crispy breading covering a pork loin slice pounded out to 1/4" thickness about twice the size of the bun. That's consistent with the standard in this area, first done by the Smith family of Smith's Restaurant now 5 or 6 miles South on Hwy 13. The fries were absolutely perfect, fries to order, sprinkled with a seasoning that's really very good. Don't skip the fries!

We also ordered a large order of fries to share. The burgers were great and the fries were great. The service was terrible! The girl who took our order rang us up with a combo that we did not order. When we asked about it, she said that ringing it that way would save us money. But by our math it added $1.30. So I asked her to run it again without the combo. She came up with the same wrong total. Then a person I assume was a manager came up: green and purple hair, piercings all over. She started to ring it with a combo and I said, "No combo. Two burgers and a large fry." She said nothing. Rang it, opened the cash drawer, gave me change back, AND NEVER SAID A WORD! I was going to order frozen custards when we left, but that changed my mind. Too bad - great food. Service was ok, took our order then didn't see her again until it was done then didn't see anyone again at all. This was between 11-noon on a Friday. They do charge extra if you use a credit card and there aren't any signs warning you and we didn't notice until we were seated and waiting for our food. Its not a lot just seems wrong that they don't mention the charge beforehand so you have the choice to pay with cash if you prefer.
