Every time we've needed tree work, we've gathered multiple quotes--and Cleartree has always been the most affordable or very close to it. But what truly sets them apart is their professionalism, efficiency, and care for the property. This time around, we had some routine yard maintenance and one large pine tree removed due to excessive moisture damage. Their quote was very reasonable, and they got us scheduled within just a couple of weeks. From start to finish, communication was excellent. I received a confirmation text the day before, along with helpful instructions for prepping the area (moving vehicles, etc.). Their crew showed up early--trucks were waiting by 7:50 AM for an 8:00 start--and right on time, the foreman knocked on the door, walked through the plan, and confirmed all the details before getting started. By 8:10 AM, they were working on the 40-50 ft tree, and by 8:40, it was safely down--without so much as a branch touching anything else. Shortly after, they ground the stump and leveled the area so well that if it weren't for the fresh soil, you'd never know a tree had been there. Not only did they protect the yard using plates for the skid steer, but they also raked up every last branch and twig from the pruning and takedown process. Honestly, the yard looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived. By 11:30 AM, they were wrapped up--just in time for the incoming storms. The estimate process was unreliable from the start, and communication throughout the job was extremely poor. What followed felt like a bait‑and‑switch, and the company ultimately failed to honor the signed estimate. Dave initially quoted me $3,000, and we both signed the estimate with his team scheduled to begin work on Monday. However, once the worker arrived, he immediately said they needed additional equipment. A week later, Dave texted claiming there were "a lot of variables" he hadn't anticipated and that the job would actually cost $5,750, a shocking $2,750 increase. I had to send him three text messages and call the main office before he finally responded with this sudden price change. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and communication made this an extremely frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend this company.

Thought the service would be great. However, when I called to schedule the tree removal, it took me calling and leaving messages three times before I finally was able to schedule on my 4th call. No messages were ever returned. The day they came to remove the trees, I was told they'd have to return the next day to grind the stumps. No one returned the next day. When they finally called to schedule it, they gave me less than 24 hours notice and when I said that didn't work, they scheduled for the next week. Imagine my surprise when, I looked out my window as I was getting ready to leave for a scheduled event and I see a tree grinder ready to go to work on a day I told them not to come. My husband spoke to the employee who was not aware and did not have the tools to dig up the plants I had asked them to do so I could move them. My husband spoke with Alfredo who said the employee there to grind the stumps could possibly do it if we paid him $50 off the books (once again, digging up the plants was included in the original estimate). To top it all off, I received a call 4 hours after the grinding was finished to find out if the could come over the weekend to grind the stumps. There is a severe lack of communication between the various parts of this company, phone calls aren't returned and they don't communicate with the customer efficiently. I hired them based on my neighbors' recommendation and my initial contact. They will not receive my recommendation for anything nor will I ever hire them again.
