Would not recommend. Went to pick up my mom some items for an early Mother's Day gift. Bought a box of Grabower Schokoladen-Schaumküsse- they were so old and hard you could not eat them. Also got liver wurst and as soon as I gave it to my mom we realized it was out of date. I drove all the way back to store. No apologize at all. They did exchange the items. The second box of Grabower Schokoladen-Schaumküsse were still OLD and not edible. If you do go here please check expiration date. read more

A Spartanburg staple for many years. The smell of deli meat here used to be overpowering. Now, it still smells like a deli but not quite as strong. Not sure what the difference is. They've removed most of the grocery items and added more seating. The downside is the additional seating is large tables which is awkward when there's just two of you. All the small tables were taken and the large tables open. The food as always was good. They have their own spin on most dishes so it pays to ask. I got a Rueben which was good but had spicy mustard rather than the typical thousand island. It was good but could be a surprise. If you get the tea, keep in mind it's more like an Arnold Palmer than straight up iced tea. read more

In August 2020 the Deli Korner had outdoor seating it was a pleasure to sit outside on a cool day. We were lucky it wasn't extremely hot. They did not have indoor dining. I had the Reuben sandwich. It was a beautifully made sandwich. Nice layers of meat and sauerkraut. My friend ordered the Nurnberger bratwurst. They had a very nice flavor. And the German potato salad reminded me friend of Germany. The highlight was their apple strudel. A dense layer of delicious apples. It was absolutely wonderful. read more

Nice people here. Great deli food. Open for take-out in these troubled times. I asked the owner about it. She said it would take a lot more than what's happening now to close them down after almost 40 years in business! I tried the chef salad today for lunch. Sophia had the same thing except no onion and no ham, but extra turkey. It was delicious. The dill dressing is fabulous. They gave us wonderful crackers with it and a few pieces of Lindt chocolate on the side. We also split a just right Bavarian pretzel. The German mustard will curl your hair. I thanked the owner for staying open. We all need to support our local businesses, now more than ever. Covid-19 has changed our lives forever. Let's make the best of it! read more

Had a very special order filled right before Thanksgiving. The lady running the deal I was so personable and exacting filling my order. I ordered Westphalen ham. A truly specialty item and it was wonderful. I certainly will be back and would recommend it to anyone. read more

The deli kroner has the authentic feel one would hope for when visiting a German deli. From the minute you walk I you feel like your in Europe. And the food is awesome! I love their chef salad with their homemade dill dressing. If you don't want leftovers, get a half chef salad, which is still more than a plate full. I love the dressing so much that I make sure to keep a stock of it in my fridge. I can't eat salad with any other dressing anymore. My husband loves the pastrami and cheese. Oh, the goulash soup...absolutely try this! The best beef stew (without the veggies), I've ever had! Reubens are delicious because they use saurkraut in wine instead of vinegar. So you don't get the nose-stinging stench of regular saurkraut. The Mike's Special is pretty good. Just a warning...the potato salad is hot. I know a lot of people that are caught off guard by this because it's usually served as a cold dish, but this potato salad is delicious with bits of bacon! The sweet tea is...different. It has a light lemon, honey flavor. It took me a bit to get used to, but I get it every time we go now. We also enjoy the knackwurst and Swiss knackwurst. Get the knackwurst fried! Has a lot of good flavor with some spicy brown mustard and saurkraut on the side. The Swiss cheese just oozes out of the Swiss knackwurst. We get a couple of both of these when we're there to take home for lunch the next day. They have a corner full of German grocery items. The bag of dark chocolate Noblesse cookies are addictive. Lots of neat candies and chocolates. Even some import German beer. You can also buy meats and cheeses. OMG, I almost forgot to mention the homemade apple strudel! One piece is big enough for 2 people. I always try to save some room for the studel. Not too sweet with lots of apple slices and thin, flaky crust. A must try at least once. My husband and I used to eat here for lunch *every* Saturday. Unless there was something stopping us (like being too sick to drive, being out of town, etc.) we would be here. Even if we were going to be out of town, we would still try to stop by for lunch on our way out. Unfortunately, it is a family-owned business and the staff have a life too. So, they are no longer open on Saturdays. Totally understandable. They close at 4pm during the week so I haven't been able to eat here for a while. Basically if I have a day off, this is where we have lunch. read more

Deli Korner is a good German-Swiss-American restaurant. They also sell traditional meats and cheeses and have a section of the store dedicated to German grocery items ranging from beer to candies to cooking goods. I highly recommend the Reuben sandwich but whatever you get be sure to try their tea (which they also sell be the 1/2 gallon and gallon). read more

I have been meaning to try this place for a long time as I had only heard great things. Well, it certainly lived up to the hype. The staff was very friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. Without a doubt the best deli style sandwich I've had in the area. I had the "Rachel", a sandwich with pastrami, sauerkraut, spicy mustard, and Swiss cheese. I added a side of potato salad. The portions were perfectly sized. Not too much food, just enough to leave satisfied. The potato salad tasted as if it had been made to order. I look forward to trying their other selections as I will definitely be back! read more

I absolutely love this place. The first time I went here I ordered the Goulash Soup. It brought tears to my eyes because it tasted just like what my grandmother used to make. It was awesome.
