i would not recommend this dentist to anyone i was assaulted by the dentist he came in and asked me did i like the results and i told him i wasn't satisfied he then threw the mirror in my lap and told me take it or leave it and walked out of the office and did not return i never been treated and humiliated by any doctor or dentist before like that in my life i thought it complaint with the north carolina medical board and it better business bureau this happened august 6th 2024 i do not recommend read more

i had a cap come off of one of my teeth Friday and tried calling the Dental Care Center in WF to get in right away, but got a message (hardly ever get a live person). Called the emergency # and left a message there. No call back. Called again on Saturday (again, called the emergency #). Nothing! This morning I called again, still no one answered. Left another message. Got in my car and drove there only to find them closed, no note on the door. Their phone message says they're open. I feel like any other dentist office would have called me back, even if I couldn't be seen that day. Ended up going to my old dentist and he took me right in. read more

If you are a vet, go some where else. Worst place i've ever been to get ok'd for follow up approval. Can't hardly get anyone on the phone. Called for days then finally drove there to see if they were still in business. It's been about 8 months and still havn't heard anything from them. How they stay in business is beyond me. read more

I scheduled a teeth cleaning, I received an exam where told me I needed a cleaning... It felt like a waste of visit, and a waste of a day off used. Also, everytime I've been to this office they discuss water pik, more than anything else. It feels like your staff is a sales team before they are anything else. My wife felt the same during her visit. Buy this, buy that. Also, when my wife went, she told me they kept telling her that they could remove one of her teeth there in the dentist office, and seemed genuinhelpful and concerned, but the moment she mentioned she'd rather be put under, so she didn't need to be awake during the procedure everyone shut down, like she told them bad news. Because the procedure needed to be performed somewhere else, no one seemed concerned about her tooth anymore and not another word was mentioned about it. I believe you have a few good people on staff, the front desk folks, for instance. Perhaps your team is heavily experienced and skilled, but my wife and I both get the distinct impression that everyone there has lost their passion, and doesn't genuinely care about the patient. This may sound harsh but 3 or 4 visits from myself, and another couple visits from my wife, has given us plenty of opportunity to come to this realization. My entire job for 3 years was to evaluate, grade and correct customer service practices, so perhaps I'm more sensitive to those kinds of faults than others, but I do hope whoever is in charge if this facility, will take this to heart. Also, I should mention most Dental insurance covers roughly 50% of your costs. This was true of my last three jobs. The smile club, which is a nice deal for around $230 gets you 2 cleanings, x-rays, etc, per year is only for people without insurance. They tell you that you are not allowed to opt out of billing your insurance. You would think that having insurance would help, but two cleanings WITH insurance will cost you $280 (your responsibility after the 50% insurance coverage). This however is not unique to the office. Anyway, this gross upcharge for those with insurance is so severe, that it is literally better to NOT have dental insurance, which is absurd. Those aren't made up numbers. As I write this review I am holding the itemized break down of my anticipated charges with insurance. Its more out of pocket than if I did not have it. So just to be clear. The price for two cleaning is: $232 (without insurance). The price for two cleanings (with insurance) is: at least $560. You insurance pays 50% of the $560 leaving you $280 that you pay out of pocket. read more

I am so happy with this Dental care center. It worked great for me, as I am in process of getting a crown, for a removed tooth. Doctors really know what they do, and explain it the same way. Nurses, and front office couldn't be more patient. I also brought my 2 kids, and committed to treatment for teeth re accommodation with the use of mouthguard. It worked miracles for both, in just a couple of months. I definitely recommend as Wake Forest's best all around service. read more

If you are thinking about going to The Dental Care Center in Wake Forest, run away.... fast! This is the most disorganized and unprofessional, practice I've ever encountered anywhere. In my brief experience with them, they charged my insurance for services that were never rendered, canceled an appointment 40 minutes before it was to take place (as I was driving to the appointment after taking off work), and are inflexible when it comes to treatment options... it is literally their way or the highway. read more

Truly had a wonderful 1st experience at the Dental Care Center. Every single person was caring and clear with what they were doing and why. The office is beautiful and relaxing. My son had to have 4 cavities filled . Dr k did the first 2. After the doctor had given him his shot he asked when are you going to use the needle. ( how's that for painless my 9 year old son did not know he had already received the injection). The office is very friendly. Billing has also been correct. read more

I will never go back to the office again. Two cleanings and I should have quit after the first one but I had x-rays done and couldn't change dentist office mid year. The first visit, the hygienist that polished my teeth left plenty of polish in my mouth. I had to ask her a few times to keep rinsing it out. Then she never flossed. The dentist looked at my x-rays and said "I see you have some crowns and bridges". I have crowns but no bridges which I told him. Then he said, "well I just group them together"? Very strange. Was't impressed with him at all. This was Dr. Watson. He did tell me that I had one cavity and reluctantly, I made an appt to fill it since I really couldn't start over again at another dentist office until the following year. Luckily, I was met by Dr. Dolfi. One of the best dentists that I have encountered. Very friendly and sociable and filled my cavity with no problems. Wish would have had him on my first visit. I wanted to get my second cleaning in before year end so I had no choice but to come back here. Hoping for the best, I had a different hygienist that gave me a worst experience then the first visit. He did not rinse my mouth after cleaning, flossed my teeth while the polish was still in my mouth and then didn't thoroughly rinse out the polish after I asked him a few times. Next Dr. Mani comes in jokingly saying that I don't look like I'm 73. Well maybe because I'm not! But that's what was on his chart. No surprise as this office is a miss with the exception of Dr. Dolfi. He looked in my mouth for about 10 seconds and told me that I didn't have any cavities and maybe I should eat more sweets and drink more soda. Very funny! Never did any type of exam on my jaw. Was a wasted 10 seconds. I commented to him about the condition of the chair I was sitting in. It had cracks and open tears in it. He said they couldn't get any new chairs out of China since Covid. I'm sure this year had been in very poor condition for quite some time. The room needs to be painted and seemed very down level. Anyway, I am never going back here again. I will find a new dentist office next year. read more

They were really bad in all respects. They were completely unorganized. I had to wait 30 mins in the waiting room, then another 20 minutes for the hygentist who insisted I still had my wisdom teeth after I informed her I had them removed 20 years ago. She started counting and was so confused another person had to come in and help. Turns out she couldn't count and the other dental person finally confirmed I did indeed have my wisdom teeth removed. The same dental tech/hygienist forgot to give me a lead blanket before the x-ray and blew it off saying oh well its not really that much radiation anyway. It was the worst cleaning I've ever had. My teeth didn't even feel like they were brushed well, let alone the clean feeling from the dentist. I waited almost an hour by the time I saw the hygentist, then she rushed through the cleaning and cut my gums. Not only were the office staff and the dental tech and the hygentist completely incompetent, the dentist was completely unprofessional and missed a cavity. I went to another dentist the following month because I felt the care was so poor and he told me I had a cavity. It is scary that this office is allowed to treat people. I have been going to this facility for some years and stopped going over a year or so because of the docter who is now part of the practise along with some other issues that I've experienced. The most recent incident started when I got a crown put on, the crown didn't last even a year. I called to get the crown put back on and the docter in which I was given was very rude. He stated that because I didn't bring the crown I had to come back. He also stated that I would have to get a crown lengthing done when I already had one done. I explained that I had one and he said o really. Obviously he didn't read my charts before he came in the room. Well he asked why I hadn't been there in a year I said the lack of customer service and I had started going to another practise. So he said well do you want me to fix this or the other dentist office. I said you guys were the one who did the crown so you should fix it. He told me he wasn't going to do it if I didn't get a crown lengthing. I said I'm not going to cause I already had it done. I also said I don't have the money for that. He then said who said you had to pay did I say that in a sarcastic voice. Now that was rude...Then he says well I'm not touching it unless you have it done. He also let me know that his work wouldn't be like what was done already great way to explain the work that was rendered. I decided ill make an appointment with the original docter. But could not get him. So last resort I made it with NO PERSONALITY. I DECIDED TO canceled because at that point I didn't feel comfortable with NO PERSONALITY. I recieved a bill in the mail for the visit and when I called to ask why they charged my insurance they reminded me I hadn't been there in a year and they had to charge my insurance but I have a zero balance. So I guess if they aren't getting your business than that gives them the right to charge you for their mistakes. The front desk MANAGER is wrong shes getting nasty with me and Im the customer and honestly this should have been a complimentary visit. They charged my insurance which made me reach my maximum benefits for the year which when I went to get my wellness check up at the other dentist office I had to pay some out of pocket cost. The front desk MANAGER responded that they take good care of their customers when i said this is how you treat people. Now I really used to like the front desk MANAGER, but after that experience which she got nasty with me and then tried to flip and say I got rude with her is a bunch of bs. This is just one of the issues I had with them and I will continue to write reviews on different experiences I've had with them. I will write on as may sites as possible and treat them crappie as they did me. Don't bother getting quality service from them and if you do and you run in to a dentist with NO PERSONALITY then that's him. And tHey SHOULDN'T even get 1 star I just put one because you had to rate them to leave a review. If I had it my way I'd give them a zero. And you know what's a shame I actually liked the original dentist alot. But once you get staff who lack customer service skills and pretend to be the victims instead of taking responsibility they make the whole practise look bad.
