******SCAM!!!!******* I had come to this office for the last few years without issue. On April 9th I visited and was assessed a $40 copay (normal) along with an additional $40 "lab copay".. I questioned this charge but they assured me this wasn't something my insurance company would pay. The moment I left the office I called my insurance company which told me that they ABSOLUTELY do pay that lab copay. I've spent the last few weeks navigating the intricacies of their massive phone web - NEVER actually able to get ahold of anyone from that office directly because their inept, centralized billing department can't seem to find the time to pick up their phone. I've only had experience with Adara Mifsud, PA-C, and unfortunately, it was a negative one. She misdiagnosed my child and began treatment based on that incorrect diagnosis. From the start, her assessment didn't feel accurate, but I hesitated to question a medical professional. At the follow-up, I raised concerns, and only then was a biopsy sent out. She told us results would take two weeks, but I later learned that biopsies typically take under a week. When we didn't hear back, we had to call--only to find out she was on vacation, and we had to wait several more days. Given the size of the practice, someone else should have followed up. After weeks of unnecessary stress, we learned the correct diagnosis--something she never mentioned--and her treatment had been entirely unnecessary. I went in with a painful, swollen, and infected ingrown hair. The dermatologist did address the issue by prescribing antibiotics, but then completely overreacted and brought up unrelated, unnecessary concerns. She insisted I take a pregnancy test because she thought I might have a cryptic pregnancy--which I told her was not possible. Then she said my appendix might be swollen and recommended I go to the ER for a scan. None of these things were true, and it felt like she was grasping at straws instead of focusing on the actual infection. Even worse, although antibiotics were prescribed, the office never actually sent them to the pharmacy. I called five times over three different days, and each time they claimed it was being handled--but nothing was ever sent. I was in urgent pain, and they kept giving me the runaround for four days. This was incredibly irresponsible, especially since the infection could have been serious, possibly even MRSA. I ended up having to go to urgent care to finally get treated. While the initial diagnosis was on track, everything else was completely unprofessional and unnecessarily alarming. I do not recommend this office. read more

I didn't realize when I called to make an appointment that you only deal with the corporate phone number. I ended up getting an appointment yesterday morning for the Oceanside office. I had an infection in my scalp that was very painful & spreading. I thought I was seeing a doctor but it was a nurse practitioner. She numbed me and opened up the infection. Told me she was going to give me oral antibiotics to take 2 x a day for 2 weeks, and a topical antibiotic cream to put on the wound 3 x per day, and that I should apply a warm compress 3 x per day. I didn't receive any paperwork from the office. I went back in to the receptionist and asked about my prescriptions, she said they were sent electronically to my Pharmacy in Franklin Square. When I got to the pharmacy they only had the pills, no topical cream. The only number I had was the NYC Corporate office number so I called them and asked them to transfer me to the Oceanside office. They can't do that, or won't. They took my information and told me they would contact the office and either they would get back to me or I should call again today if I didn't hear back. Of course I didn't hear back so I called this morning and was told there was no antibiotic cream on my chart and that the person that took care of me wasn't in the office today but would be back on Saturday, they would leave her a note and someone might get back to me. DO NOT EVER USE THEM!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE AGGRAVATION & FRUSTRATION. What kind of practice doesn't have their own phone, let you speak with the office you are dealing with or speak with the doctor? NOTHING I WILL DEAL WITH AGAIN!!! Since I can't give it 0 stars I will give them one. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST! The practitioners are WONDERFUL but the entire office staff, company wide, treated me horribly. I have called 4 times this week after a promised phone call from the manager by my PA and never got a call. Called the office and it's one number for all the different offices. Left on hold for a half hour and had to hang up each time. Totally unprofessional. I really like the practitioners but this not being able to talk to anyone is HORRIBLE!!! I hope someone high up sees this review. They need to be trained on bedside manner . read more

My experience with this practice has been the most amazing. I called and got an appointment for the same day. I was loosing my hair due to covid and they were able to provide me with a treatment that work right away. I will forever be grateful for the doctor that help me keep my hair. Took my son here and although they were nice, they forgot to send my sons prescription to his pharmacy. If you don't have insurance the consultation is $250! What sort of special is that? It's ridiculous. read more

I was deciding to go either to the emergency room or the above office. I decided-well-the care should be better in an office-right? Wrong!! I called the number listed and spoke with a woman who informed me the office was opened till 7 PM. She said I could walk in and a provider would be there to help me. Even though this office was almost a hour's away drive, I was feeling ill and told her I am going to leave for this office (4PM). We confirmed the hours of operation again, and so I left to see the Physician's Assistant-I was told. I arrived at the facility . Upon entrance there were two young girls who proceeded to tell me there is no provider here and they were closing. I was furious , besides feeling sick. They tried to blame this on me. I told them not only did I speak to a woman whom gave me all the instructions-your web site says the same thing (4:45PM)-supposed to be open till 7PM. This was such an unprofessional office. Not only did I waste my time and gas money -I was sick. Is this not false advertising as well as improper actions for people that are supposed to be doctors? SHAME on them !!! I advise all to stay away from this company-as it obviously is totally unreliable as well as unprofessional. The office manager (Jennifer Ramos) was suppose to call me-but- of course did not. After waiting over 30mins, I asked the receptionist if she could find out how much longer it would be until I would be seen & she advised very nonchalantly it would be at least another 15 mins. No apologies. I was unable to wait & asked to be refunded the $65 co-pay I provided PRE-service. I waited another 20 mins for proof of refund which they were eventually unable to provide. During that time, no one came out or went in to see the NP, Florian Massil. It was a very unprofessional environment & I would not recommend this location. read more

Went in for first consultation appointment. Was diagnosed with an angioma by nurse practitioner. Requested to make appt for laser treatment with doctor. Made second appointment. Came in a month later expecting to get laser treatment. But no. Was just a second consultation with the doctor to tell us what the practitioner already told us in the previous visit a month prior. Scheduled a third appt, again, for a month later because the doctor, the only doctor there, is only there on Thursdays so availability for actual treatment is limited. A month later, the morning of the appointment, I missed a call from the office informing me the appt had been cancelled because the doctor was sick. Fine. Went online to reschedule the appointment for the following week because there is no direct line to the office (so that's another thing). Thought better of it and called the general number to confirm the appointment was in fact booked and was told yes, but they didn't schedule the amount of time needed for procedure. So yet again I had to schedule another appointment for the next available time for laser procedure which was again, a month out. Day of appointment arrives and on a hunch just from previous experience with them, I call the general number to confirm the appointment. And guess what. The appointment had been cancelled for what the guy first claimed was "double booking" and then subsequently said the provider was leaving early at noon and my appointment was at 2. So after 4 months of this, that was the end of my relationship with the dermatologist specialists. Who clearly need to learn to run a tighter ship. 2 stars only because their office is pretty nice. read more

After making my appointment way in advanced, they told me they accept my insurance and all I needed was a referral from my doctor, which I got for them. Today, they canceled my appointment 2 days before because "overnight" their "policy" has changed and they no longer accept my insurance and wanted to send me an hour away to Brooklyn location. I made an appointment here and the staff scolded me for being 15 mins late. They should have said no problem, we can accommodate you. Life happens. Instead I was told that I lost my appointment and as one of the receptionists checked with the Dr. I heard her yell, tell her it's her own fault and she'll have to reschedule. Not how you treat a new potential client. The appointment was for my 4 year old daughter who looked at me and said, mommy they are rude:). At least they got it very honest. Would not recommend as it seems like the new location will not be there very long unless they train the staff and doctors on customer service. read more

Corporate staff including office manager at office is not nice to deal with. Corporate in NYC listens to you but doesn't follow through. The left and right hands don't talk to you. Go elsewhere! read more
