She also discovered a significant amount of tension at the base of my skull and applied firm pressure to both sides. That was an area I had never really considered, but it turned out to be a major source of radiating pain and headaches for me. Tina's technique was excellent, and her tempo and attention to pressure were just right. The facility was clean, peaceful, and quiet, with soft, soothing music playing in the background. I had a great experience and would highly recommend Garden Wellness Massage, especially if you're looking for a skilled therapist who really pays attention to where your body is holding tension.

Luckily, Gardens Wellness Spa has a "Sports Massage" which combines different types with massages with stretches for the arms, chest, and legs. It was nice that I was able to get an appointment so quickly when I went to the website. It took less than an hour from booking the appointment to being on the table. Parking was ample, and the front staff was pleasant and welcoming. I was escorted to a dim room and given instructions to prepare myself before the therapist comes in. My massage therapist came in, introduced herself, and got to business. By the end of the session, I felt slightly better. The stiffness and ache in my back was definitely still present. But I wasn't expecting a full recovery after a 60 minute sessions so I didn't mind. I appreciated that she really tried using pressure on the back by literally using her entire body weight, because most of the massage therapists I get are significantly lighter than me, so I don't really feel much when they try to get the knots out. That being said, it would be nice to have an option online for a male therapist as I could have used more pressure on my back. The portion where you can book with certain staff members are only labeled as 'Therapist' for all the options. I understand from a privacy-focused perspective why they'd do that, but I never know who I' getting when I book with them. Decent service, would come back again if needed.

That was very rewarding to actually have a licensed massage therapist and a future physical therapist in training, assisting you on your wellness journey. We had a few sessions which provided me deeper understanding as to just how bad my condition is. Thank you Doc for allowing this too. So Grateful. In my thirty plus year journey for wellness, I have been thru five chiropractic programs (each a minimum of 3-6 months), two acupuncture programs (one program for 5 years), two orthopedic surgeons (no surgery), one physical therapy program, numerous medications, countless massage therapists and alternative eastern treatments; all satisfied the issues in the moment, but did not even come close to figuring me out, or even trying to figure me out. Timing is strange, but one thing for sure, Nancy is a healer. My wellness journey is far from over, but the ever difficult mystery to find a therapy center with the best massage therapist to support my mission has now been solved as we are looking forward to "maintenance" massages very soon.

Since this was my first float experience, that is what I expected and I had no comparisons. This was my experience... I wish I remembered his name- Bill (maybe?) He was a customer who ended up buying the lounge was very welcoming and informative. You can tell he really enjoyed and believed in the therapeutic aspects of floating. He explained everything in detail...took about 10 minutes to set me up for a successful float. I had my own locked private lounge which consisted of a shower, changing area and float chamber. I was impressed with the cleanliness and appreciated the provided towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and two different kinds of ear plugs. After entering the chamber of darkness and began floating, I did not feel claustrophobic at all, which was my concern. I think it helped knowing I was in a 7ft by 8ft chamber instead of the pod I initially expected. I floated for 60 minutes. It was like a scheduled nap without the guilt of doing anything. My only job was to just relax and be present in this moment. After the awkwardness of this new experience and being able to be completely still, I stopped feeling the water and air. It felt like my consciousness was suspended in a cloud. Only when I purposely moved was when I felt my body again. Surprisingly, I fell asleep and even more surprisingly, I learned I snore because my snoring woke myself up. Embarrassingly, my snoring was the only thing in that chamber with me. I wasn't quite sure what I thought of my first float experience. However, it wasn't until I went about the rest of my day that I started feeling the benefits of my float. I felt very chill, relaxed and centered, I had a sense of zen with me for a few days. Because of how I felt after, I am definitely going to return. Unfortunately, this was the worst massage I've had here. The massage therapist used way too much pressure than was needed and was too aggressive. She also focused on techniques and areas I specifically mentioned I didn't want and did not focus on what I requested, which made the session uncomfortable. The head massage was also not what I expected. Instead of an actual massage, she mostly scratched my scalp the entire time. When she worked on my neck, the pressure was extremely intense and she squeezed so hard that it honestly made me feel worried something might get injured. Another issue was that when the massage oil dried up, very little was reapplied, so there was a lot of uncomfortable friction during parts of the massage. I waited, thinking it was an honest mistake, but it was clear they had no intention of returning it. Basically, they just pocketed the extra without saying a word. As for the massage itself? Terrible. WTF was she doing? There was no real method or technique -- just inconsistent, random rubbing that felt completely unprofessional. One minute she was on my left shoulder, then suddenly switched to my lower back, then my legs, and back again with no rhythm or flow. I specifically told her to focus on my right shoulder because I had a knot, and she completely ignored it. There was no pressure at all -- it literally felt like she was just dragging her fingernails across my skin the entire time. Not relaxing, not therapeutic, just annoying.
