We could not even check in to that motel for the lack of customer service! AT the second place we found , we got checked and it looked clean. But had a bad ant problem and we were bit all NIGHT. Third time is the charm! The customer service here at CREEKSIDE LODGE and CABINS was amazing! She heard my frustration, she listened to my woes, she had me checked in to a clean spacious cabin in no time. The rustic room was clean and comfortable, with all the things we needed! The outside deck is the perfect place for morning coffee, or late night night cap! To top it off we had dinner with a large group at the on site restaurant. The service was wonderful, Ava was so sweet tending to each persons order just like your best friend would. The food was great! I had a burger that was out of this world. My husband had the all you could eat fish, he was not disappointed. All the while it seemed locals and guests alike were enjoying the bar and pool tables. The sign showed live music and karaoke nights, both on the outside patio and inside it the spacious dinning room. I know I have gone on and on, but for us it was just the best place. We were immediately greeted by the two sweetest dogs that would periodically check up on us and keep us company. They were so well behaved. Occasionally The cat would also visit. Our host were always available if needed, but allowed all the privacy we wanted. The view of the stars from the upper patio with fireplace and hot tub had to be my favorite experience. The cedar fire had such a pleasant fragrance, and the sounds of wildlife in the area and the views were unspeakable. Even though if feels like your out in the middle of nowhere, there are so many things nearby. I understand why there is a three day minimum stays, you will want to spend more time there to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. No tv is available and that was wonderful.

It's only a steep, windy 15 min drive from the larger town of Cottonwood, but offers wonderful views and cute charm. I would highly recommend stopping here if you're visiting Central Arizona. You get your own entrance, living room, bedroom, garden patio and bathroom that sits below their main house. My only complaint was that I got - what I believe to be -altitude sickness because as soon as I went "down the hill" to Cottonwood, I felt significantly better. (5000 elevation to 3300). I've been in higher cities before, but never felt anything like this. A local told me it might have been due to the ghosts! Either way, I had a good time and took some nice photos.

This time we wanted more as it was our two year anniversary AND the Jerome Historic Home Tour. Once we got situated inside I realized what a great find Rach had really made. I really liked this B&B had only one guest suite as it has it's own separate entrance and patio that can see all the way to Sedona. B&B's to me always seem a little confined as the rooms are usually a little older and not much space to really relax. Not so at Hillside. I really like the separate living area with its great assortment of historical references on Jerome, (we came for a bit of history and were pretty impressed with what we found). And the back patio, it's quiet and has views that are tough to beat. The owners Nancy and Mike couldn't have been cooler as well. They gave us plenty of ideas for things to do in town and really made the experience that much more enjoyable. Breakfast was filling and delicious and the coffee didn't suck. Although there are a couple other places I am eager to see and stay in Jerome I am really looking forward to the next time I can spend time at Hillside. I absolutely love this place, its away from the city (which we are from Phx), the weather is cooler, and the scenery is beautiful. The owners Ella and Mike are super down to earth and kind. When you rent the guest house, they provide you with farm fresh eggs, bread, bacon, orange juice; basic breakfast food. So if you come multiple days you do need to bring own food and cook yourself but it's not bad at all. The house is filled with all cooking utensils and its clean. They also have an outdoor kitchen right next to the house which is super cool and glows with lights at night time. The best part about this place is the beautiful lake nearby that you can easily spend an entire day at, either swimming, fishing, boating. It's really just amazing and I highly reccomend.
