We were in the neighborhood and stopped by for dinner. The service was excellent. We ordered steak, one rib eye one New York. The New York was cooked to perfection the rib eye was way past rare to medium rare and a bit past medium. Although it wasn't cooked to my liking both steaks were delicious, tender and still juicy. Both meals were served with a salad of ice burg lettuce, cucumbers and grape tomatoes, They were fresh, cold and crispy. Dinner was also served with fresh bread, potato and green beans. My husband loved the beans which were stewed with bacon. I prefer more of an eldente vegetable. We both chose the mashed potatoes, real potatoes cooked in their jackets and mashed. They were delicious. We got pie to go which was good but tiny pieces especially the blue berry. I suppose if I would have eaten it right after the meal it would have been plenty. read more

My husband and i stopped at this very beautiful and welcoming place to eat on our travels to Devils Tower and our trip across country in Oct. First the owners are absolutely awesome. They are so friendly and accommodating. The establishment is a beautiful cabin style and so much more beautiful than expected. There is a cute store inside as well with great merchandise. I even bought myself a gorgeous homemade quilt. I ordered the New York Steak and my husband has the Rib Eye steak and both were amazing. Don't get me started on the dessert! Yum homemade peach cobbler and Salted Carmel brownie. Everything about our visit was just amazing. Thank you so much and I would say this is a must stop when visiting. read more

We had a nice Sunday Lunch of Salmon, salad, veggies, and hot bread w/honey butter. We topped it off with homemade peach pie w/ice cream. All this served in a charming log cabin setting. An owner gave us a taste of homemade huckleberry ice cream which was yummy. read more

For a semi-quick, more-than-just-burgers restaurant with an awesome backyard view of Devil's Tower, the Gultch is the place to eat. We first stopped at the two restaurants that flanked the main park entrance but chose not to stay as their menu and actual food seemed very lame (think lame-not-great burgers). Almost didn't stop at The Gultch as we were heading 20 minutes to Sundance to find a good restaurant but then glanced left as we hit the Devil's Tower/highway intersection and saw a huge batch of Sturgis motorcycles parked in the front. We detoured left into the parking lot and asked the bikers exiting from the restaurant if the food was good. After several resounding yeses, we went in. I enjoyed the daily special (pulled pork with an upgrade of fried onion rings) and my husband found his Buffalo Burger w/fries juicy and tasty. Really attentive wait staff, clean restrooms and nicely air conditioned made for a pleasant early afternoon lunch. read more

Stopped here after an impromptu trip to Devil's Tower. View of DT from the patio is amazing--but they don't let that be a reason to serve meh food. Burgers and BLTs were delicious! House made potato chips were a nice touch--especially with garlic salt--YUM! Bar selection was good too with the usual suspects and several local brews. First there is no sign if you are to seat yourself or wait to be seated and no one tells you or asks.If you go sit by the bar the gentleman over there looked like he knew how to treat customers. The older lady (waitress I guess) is lost and rude.Side salad tasted very odd so we didn't eat them.We had to wait over 5 min for drink refills twice.The steak tips where good a little too much seasoning but good.Price is a little high for what you get.We saw another table have to walk into the kitchen area to get more butter because the waitress didn't come back.we wish we had sat in the bar area as the bar tender talked to his customers and took care of them. read more

We stopped here after a half day of hiking Devils Tower. Food was yummy, staff was lovely and the owners were just as kind and relaxed and happy as can be!! My blood pressure went down a few points after just a brief conversation with them!! They had a fun little gift shop upstairs as well. I was in WY visiting my brother, so we went on a road trip to Devil's Tower. We found this gem of a restaurant nearby the National Monument. The food was superb, with ingredients of high quality and freshness. Ordering salads with an expectation of packaged deli meats, we were surprised with warm, freshly-cooked chicken breast and ham, crisp lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, and a whole, sliced, hard-boiled egg. Fresh ranch dressing was excellent. We added a side of their homemade potato chips, and were we glad we did! Best we've ever eaten! Available with Cajun or garlic salt, we opted for the garlic. The other superb aspect of this dandy restaurant were the owners and staff. They were so friendly and helpful. Service was quick and excellent. Pleasant and informative conversation was a free side dish! This customer-friendly place reminded me of the many little cafes I've visited in Ireland, where the friendly service and freshly-made dishes cant be beat! It's a "don't miss" on your visit to Devil's Tower! And the view is amazing! read more
