Came here today with my boyfriend as he was shopping around for a barrel lock. Not sure who we spoke to but we saw some barrel locks that are made for 8mm chains. We asked if we were able to place an order for a barrel lock to fit a 6mm chains. She then proceeded to say that she needed to call their vendor as he makes the barrel locks. To our surprise, the vendor told the lady that there's no way to make a 6mm barrel lock, only 8mm and above! We both knew that it was full of crap because we had a 5mm barrel lock! Then the lady proceeded to ask us if we wanted to upgrade to an 8mm chain since they had those locks in stock. Hah! Talk about feeling offended, so we decided to leave as we know it was a bunch of bull. If you want trustworthy business, don't waste your time here. read more

This is an update from the last post I made about my ring. I noticed this since I got it, but was too distraught to even post this, however I feel that you all should see and hear it. I spoke to the male owner and I explained to him that the gold is nowhere near the same as what I had on the ring and he stated that it was. So I believed him. He said his ring guy was the best, but his ring guy failed to try to make it the way it was. You can tell where the existing gold starts and ends. The added gold creates lots of marks and it feels rough to the touch; I often get little scratch marks with it. The jade is loose, and I don't know where I can go to help fix this issue. So heartbroken and feel violated by this company. I hope this doesn't happen to others in the future. read more

I went to the downtown location and have bought multiple pieces from them thinking I was getting good prices and today I went in to buy a 8mm 28in and the lady tells me 21k but with discount it'll be 13500 which is insane and $94 per gram. The owner then proceeded to come out and tell the sales person in Tagalog that we shopped around as if I couldn't understand. To me they are completely unprofessional for doing such. It honestly really left me speechless because them saying that is basically them saying "oh we can't rip them off because they know the prices from other shops" me and my husband are fairly young and for this company to try and pull a fast one on us is so upsetting and after buying a few pieces from them too... I never thought I'd ever feel this way about them and coming from the owner herself to is insane. Young families please don't waste ur time here read more

My other half brought his earrings in to get a diamond reset that had fallen out. From the very beginning the older white male was extremely rude with an aggressive tone. Another lady worker lost his VVS diamond. When she tried to pick it up with tweezers it shot across the store displaying that she might not have had proper training and or tools. They replaced his 20 pointer with an SI diamond and it wasn't even set properly so the contrast in quality of diamond is already noticeable and now sticks out like a sore thumb. We're very understanding people and just wish the situation was handled more professionally, maybe then so this wouldn't have even happened. All in all he was disrespectful to him as a customer and to his employees and we don't advise anyone to shop with them. read more

Found out about The Diamond Fairy thru my employer's HR Symphony Marketplace deals - free ring inspection and cleaning. On their website it indicates they also perform on-site repairs and resizing in addition to offering retail sales of diamonds and jewelry. I've been putting off repairing my wedding ring and band for years mainly due to laziness and NOT other motives like my husband probably suspects . One of the prongs holding my Diamond became disconnected to my band and gaining the Covid-19 lbs didn't help with "squeezing" my bloated finger into now a bit tight ring. Emily at The Diamond Fairy was very helpful and efficient. She quoted a fair price to solder my prong back and to add gold to increase size of my rings for $150 and was able to get it done for me in just a few hours! I upgraded my 9mm rope to 10mm and had them add an extension for me. The extension piece wasn't exactly the same which to me is understandable because a lot of factors come into play. But my chain measures exact 10.1mm and the extension they gave me is 9.9mm so I'm able to physically measure out where the extension is. And when I did so I found out that my supposed to be 2" extension is only INCH AND A HALF!!! They kept my chain's original ends(cause I have a barrel lock) and about 1.5" from my extension. The mānangs (I'm full Ilocano so don't get mad) here need to get on the same communication page. They allow 4 people maximum within the store now that the Covid restrictions have been lifted so we stood outside and waited so that my son could get his necklace cleaned - which is a free service they offered when he made the purchase. The first mānang opened the door and asked what we wanted then said we had to come back in 5 minutes because they already had the max number of people inside. I asked if we could just drop it off and come back. "No, you have to be here." Okay... so we come right back and the family that was in there has moved on so my son walks in and asks if he can have his chain cleaned. The second mānang says "due to Covid 19 we can't clean any jewelry right now." WHY DIDN'T THE FIRST LADY SAY THAT TO BEGIN WITH. Help the people you think are gonna spend money right now and NOT the ones that could potentially bring you repeat business if you treat them well? #classic! It's funny because early I went to Opal Fields and they gave great service and let me handle pieces worth $100,000 and up. But at Diamond Fairy, I wanted to look for a heritage bracelet but the saleswoman wouldn't let me browse without saying "are you looking for something ?" every few seconds as she followed me less than 5 feet away. She said this in an aggressive way - not helpful way. She was rude and disrespectful - trying to make me leave with her nasty attitude. Well, it worked but I'm still free to warn others how BAD this place is. Let me tell you something if you're looking for fine jewelry- places like this sell junk. Their staff knows nothing about diamonds nor customer service, the settings are mass-manufactured in China mostly by robots. I could not have felt any more welcomed, appreciated, and happier at my experience at The Diamond Fairy. Prior to, I had already shopped around at 4 other very well-known jewelers and I picked out what I thought was the perfect engagement ring. I had even made the initial payment to have the diamond set. I was referred to The Diamond Fairy from a very good friend as she was very happy with her experience with her Rolex purchase so I thought I'd see what they had to offer. Brandy was so knowledgeable and I loved her energy. The entire staff was very pleasant and it was evident that were passionate with their work and you could really feel a spirit of Ohana. The owner, Chuck, even came and introduced himself. This may seem cliché, but I had a very good feeling the second he shook my hand. The diamond was perfect. The setting was perfect. Their guidance was invaluable. I was planning a surprise proposal so they're advice played a crucial role in helping me weigh the pros and cons. The diamond was not just a better value, it had surpassed all 4 C's of the diamond I found at the other jeweler. The setting was beautiful. I was able to have it set and picked it up same day. They even had a ring box that lit up. My Fiancee melted when she first saw it even though I opened it upside down initially. My Fiancee and I are definitely going back to get our wedding bands. I am definitely going back for a Rolex. At the end of the day, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel. It was a bracelet with a horizontal name plate, we had them put her name & they spelt it WRONG! After offering to fix it, I rewrote her name down on the paper in CAPS so they don't misspell it again & THEY DID!!! If I could give this place a 0 stars I would gladly do that. We have been coming here for years and Emily has always helped us gave us good deals and was really friendly. I needed to resize my ring because it was to big, mind you i bought my ring here. I have talked to 5 different workers each worker has given be a different price each time. One lady said $200 another lady said $180 another lady told me $80 then I had someone tell me $60 and finally they call and tell me $150. The workers are very prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. My first visit here was with my mom to resize my ring. We were in and out in about 15 minutes, ring on hand. They're pretty quick. My mom took my engagement ring in for me so I could make it into a pendant. It was ready in two days, which I only had time to get it today. They made a custom pendant with the topaz that was in my engagement ring. The setting of the pendant is very similar to the setting of my ring [which is simple to begin with]. The cherry on top? Let's start off by saying everyone check your chains my other half bought a 12mm chain from here , 2years later not knowing that our chain was "MISSING GOLD ", a good "2inches or more " of the chain was missing gold we did a scrap and magnet test , the test picked up a piece of my other half's chain , we took it to diamond fairy where we ran into "BRANDY" the owner daughter and told her in a nice a softly spoken voice because there was other people shopping in the store , and told her that our chain was missing gold and it was picking up with a magnet !! She looked at me all shock so she start grabbing and searching for a magnet she buses out a old rusted ass magnet and try to run the magnet test , it didn't pick up then I told her that the magnet that the other person used was a heavy duty and wasn't rusted so she called the 2nd location to see if they got her new magnets in she tells me she gonna run to the new store and shell call me and said give me an hour so I told her ok I'm gonna walk around the mall an hour passing and she doesn't call I go back to diamond fairy and ask for brandy and she's no where to be found I had to text her myself and she tells me she had a emergency and she had to leave !! She always has a smile on her face and willing to help and is very knowledgable and will give you the best deal or work with you for a payment plan if needed. Even though I wait for Brandy, everyone else greets me when i walk in and always asks if I need help or want to look at something. I bought a ring set for my hubs and I and came in for a quote of a custom Hawaiian Bracelet to order in the future and she helped me. Few months goes by and I found a decent deal on Craigslist, talked with the owner of the chain and made a appointment to get the chain, checked and tested by diamond fairy, the owner paid to get the chain check by "diamond fairy" when the gold chain was getting tested "the owner of diamond fair" older white guy, was very rude, talked very loud, also disrespectful, he made the whole deal with buying the chain from the owner very "hectic" I would recommend anybody reading this, to do your research before buying gold because "diamond fairy" is over charging hard working local people! It really pains me to write this review, but I do feel it needs to be done. My ex boyfriend and I were, in my eyes, pretty good customers. We made a few purchases from them... A diamond ring, a couple rolex's, and a few items for mom them. They, of course, treated us like family. The customer service is exceptional... As it should be for a jewelry store when you're spending that kind of money. I had recently called to inquire about selling back my ring, and another ring purchased from a different company. Now both rings were purchased for at least $3,000. I am COMPLETELY aware that I would not get back what was paid for it. Probably not even half. I sent in my niece, on my behalf since I couldn't make it in, to do the deal. They of course informed me that it wouldn't be what we paid for it, understandable. I do remember when we first purchased the ring they made the process of trading it in or even selling it back very easy... (Let's not forget when I mentioned my name or even my exes it took a while for them to catch on. They even mentioned how I had purchase a bracelet which I didn't. Obvious mix up) Any who, my niece had called me and let me know that they were going to pay only $400 for both rings! And I'm not in the jewelry business, but that seemed ridiculously low. That's not even 15% of the money paid! A part of me feels like because I sent someone younger in, maybe they cheated her. All I can say is I'm completely appalled. Especially with the fact that they treated us SO well while we were purchasing items, but when I want to sell it back, it's different. It's just interesting how the FULL price could be honored if I was using it as store credit (that's understandable) but to depreciate it by 85% because I'm not using it to buy other jewelry? That's just ridiculous. My niece even overheard some shady talk going on between two workers who sounded like they didn't know what they were talking about. The worst part about it is that I really trusted and liked the service. But something about that exchange just seemed a little too shady for my liking. I'm in sales myself, so I understand there is always something that can be done. I was hoping things would go smoothly and that I would be back there in 2 months purchasing Christmas gifts for some of the women in my life... Well...The Diamond Fairy from the outside store front definitely looked high end, but someone from the store gave me a seriously genuine smile right after I went shopping at Ross'. I couldn't help but let that smile drag me into their store. Next thing you know, I spent a couple hundred on mostly earrings and necklaces for work! Despite looking like a high-end/luxury diamond store, the Diamond Fairy actually offers a lot of affordable jewelry as well. I seriously love it when companies cater to a wide range of consumers and not just to one specific target group. Anyhow, would I recommend you come to the Diamond Fairy to shop for jewelry? The poor reviews here are not surprising since they match my poor experience with the diamond fairy. My brother and wife were kind enough to buy me a pre owned Rolex from this place. Shortly after I found out they were over charged about $2500 above market value. Also the DF was supposed to mail me an appraisal after the purchase. It took 4 phone calls from me to get them to send it to the correct address. The worst part, I asked to speak with the owner Mary and received the worst service from her! I was given the impression she really didn't care about the level of service her staff delivers. If you're in the market for a Rolex I'd recommend going to the local Rolex boutique and spending some additional cash for the warranty and the level of service you'd expect to receive when shopping for a luxury item. Again, I am in the market for a luxury timepiece. I call the Diamond Fairy (after my experience with The Diamond Specialists - check out that review!) and a lady answers the phone. I ask her if they have what I'm looking for in stock (a pre-owned Day Date Rolex, 18K YG) and she says they do. As I am getting ready to ask her a price on the watch, she asks me, "Are you on the island?" Wait what? So, because I called from my mainland number (and not my 808 number), it makes a difference? After I tell her, "Yes, I am on Oahu," she then proceeds to give me the price. I tell her thanks and am about to let her go when she then tells me, "It's negotiable." I again tell her thanks and she continues to press the sale over the phone and when I finally tell her that we're too far apart on pricing, she finally says, "Okay, bye bye." and hangs up the phone.
