Today me and my lady friend went to lunch at Boerne Grill. we immediately were greeted by two young ladies at the cash register and they welcomed us to the grill. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menus. I had the original Boerne burger, my friend had a soup and sandwich. The service there was outstanding. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff are commendable. The grill interior is a small style country city Grill. It is very comfortable and pleasant. The food was brought out, and it was presented in a very acceptable manner. The quality and the amount of food is definitely outstanding. It tasted really good. The ambience in the place is very friendly and while we were, it was not a noisy place. It is a very affordable restaurant. I highly encourage you to go there and try their many various dishes. Is an old establishment and well thought of by the locals. With all this being said, I would recommend this place definitely. However, the restroom could use some major attendance. Still even with this last statement, I would recommend this place for your dining experience. read more

I finally made it out to Boerne Grill. It's got that classic little mom-and-pop feel, which I reminds me of a place I use to go with my dad when I was little. There was a line when I walked in--always a good sign. Most of the crowd was older folks and what looked like regulars just hanging out and enjoying breakfast. Not very welcoming but not a big dealbreaker. I honestly wasn't that hungry, which was kind of bad timing because the breakfast menu looked really good. Walking to my table and seeing everyone else's food definitely made me feel like I picked the wrong day not to be starving. I ended up just getting a caramel macchiato, and my niece and I shared a cinnamon roll. The baked goods seemed homemade, which is always nice. Came to Boerne for an event and stopped into this small mom and pop breakfast diner located in the heart of downtown Boerne. Quiet little eatery, with a very old school feel. Black and white photos dot the walls of old Boerne. We partook of a variety of their breakfast options. Service was friendly and didn't hover. This is definitely a come eat and read the newspaper kind of vibe. This is a cute quaint store with plenty of seating. It is open kitchen concept and you can see them preparing the food. There's plenty of drinks selection along with homemade lemonade, that's a plus. My omelette tasted great and fresh! My latte was good but portion too small. Will need to size up next time. We'll be back when the weather is nice! read more

I cannot recommend this place after being treated so rudely by one of the staff for pushing two tables together. All the employee had to do was politely let us know why we weren't allowed to push them together. Instead, he opted for a rude, sarcastic, and belittling demeanor. This place has been on Main St for quite a few years now. It's evolved several times over the years, but is consistently solid and good. On a recommendation from my buddy, JPB, I went in to try their breakfast tacos - specifically their bean and cheese with bacon. In the hotly contested battle for Boerne Breakfast Taco supremacy, these are solid contenders! The migas and cheese was hot, well-flavored, and tasty with the red salsa they provide. The bean & cheese with bacon hit the spot with tasty beans and plentiful crispy (but not overdone) bacon. Try the green salsa with it! I also had a Chai, which is a nice variation from my usual coffee drinks. The Chai was hot and had a nice enjoyable flavor - perfect just the way it's served! The staff is friendly and the ambiance is quaint, with old wooden floors and a pressed tin ceiling. You can feel Boerne's history seeping out of the walls here. Parking can be a bear here, so be prepared for that and watch out for the Main St traffic if you parallel park. read more

It was our first time here. Just passing through on our way home. Place was really nice, cozy and clean. BUT, it was cold on this day. So it was super cold every time someone opened the doors to go inside. Service was great. You order at the register and listen for your name to be called so that you can go get your order. Food was really good. I ordered the French toast plate and it was really good. I ordered potatoes at an extra cost. The hubby ordered some tacos. He only liked one of them. The carne guisada taco looked really dry. Hubby didn't eat it after taking the first bite. They also sell pastries. The braided chocolate croissant was delicious! Prices are reasonable. Did not have a great experience with Boerne Grill. The ladies were friendly and were working hard and jobbing it. The gentleman who took our order at the register was all but rude and did not seem like he cared to be there. He also put our order in as a to go order. After an hour and ten minutes we finally got our food that had to be remade. The ladies were overly apologetic and refunded our bill. They were very nice. As for the gentleman he's a detriment to your business. I've seen numerous poor reviews that mentions a rude gentleman. There is a theme here! read more

Very disappointed in my breakfast. A rather simple one too; under the "sides": biscuits and gravy+potatoes. The cream based gravy is good, not great, not bad but good. The biscuits on the other hand are almost inedible....taste like freezer burn and I loathe the texture. Almost like under baked. The potatoes are potatoes, can't really mess those up but would have liked them crispier. Plus, it is uncomfortably warm in here, with not that many patrons in the dining area. And yes I am typing it while I am here now because I am that displeased. Do you like being talked down to? Do you like being scolded like a child? If so, this is the place for you. During our first and now only visit to this place, we had pushed 2 tables together so our entire party could eat together, not an outrageous concept. Rather than nicely explaining the issue that the fire code requires they be separated, the a staff member belittled us and talked to us like children. Saying we needed to ask for permission, mind you, 4 different staff members had been by the table to drop off food and said nothing. I stopped by for a quick sandwich and a drink while in downtown Boerne. This place has had some owner and menu changes over the years, but it's still a quaint little place to gather. I picked the wrong day or maybe the best day to come. It is rainy and nasty, all humid. The whole street was blocked by barricades attended by police cruisers. It was all for an antique car show. Basically a bunch of old ugly cars driving up and down in a vanity show. Because of the blockade we had to walk to this destination along the sidewalk which turned out to be fun. We parked on a residential sidestreet and walked two blocks. Anyway, we ordered the mushroom and spinach omelette with potatoes and a biscuit. Also the oatmeal. It was all good! read more
