Delicious. That's what I'll say. Friendly staff. Fun eclectic decor. Delicious food. I loved seeing the retro dinner wear, it brought back many memories.

I'm a breakfast food fanatic, so believe me when I tell you The Diner is a hidden gem in the Quad Cities area!! They were busy on a Saturday morning, but we were still seated quickly and had great service. I ordered the Denver skillet, which came with the option of toast or a pancake. YES, a pancake! I still can't get over what a great idea this is, as I can never choose between sweet and savory breakfast. The Diner, please never change. The skillet was delicious, and my scrambled eggs came out perfect. As you can see from the pictures, the portions are very generous. Best of all, my blueberry pancake was light, fluffy, and totally amazing. It was a little loud indoors, but not overwhelmingly so. I'm already planning a second trip for some pancakes and a mimosa flight.

Pick 4. French toast, biscuits n gravy, bacon, eggs over easy! Maple bacon bourbon syrup and a bloody mary in back grd! Awesome!

Tara was my server. Fabulous service! I sat at the bar, so I could have a river view. What an interesting place! Wide open space on the 2nd floor. Tvs , hodge podge of seating, but tables arent crowded. Owners say hi and help out. Farm to fork concept. All ingredients are very fresh. Enjoyed the pick 4. French toast, eggs over easy, bacon, biscuits & gravy. Had an excellent bloody mary! Really like it here and will be back! Food was out quickly. Recommend! This is a Mom & Pop place, do patronize them.

This is average for me. No meal was amazing. It was bacon and eggs. We had a little of everything. Sweet potato tots, sausage, bacon, French toast, and rye bread. Nothing jumped out at me to come back for and we waited 30 minutes.

I cannot recommend the Diner enough! My favorite place to bring weekend guests for brunch. I also love to stop here after hitting the farmers market. I love the eclectic decor and vibe along with the sunny patio over looking the Mississippi River. Service is always excellent once you are seated, but expect a wait if you come on a weekend. They do have bar seating so you may be able to squeeze in more quickly with a small party. Now let's talk food! I feel it's hard to find a brunch spot that does both food AND drinks well, this place hits the mark for me. They have the largest list of mimosa flavors I've ever been offered and do flights, along with other both seasonal and year around boozie breakfast beverages. I'll be honest though, it's food that keeps me coming back. I normally opt for a skillet (country fried steak, jalapeño and sweet potato, Denver, whatever I'm in the mood for!) One Sunday however I branched out and opted for the brunch burger - holy cow, amazing decision! A juicy burger, thick bacon, melty cheese, a fried egg, sandwiched between 2 pieces of bourbon glazed French toast plus a side of sweet potato tots. I could only finish half, but it was an absolute show stopper.

An eccletic, bohemian diner in a local market. I went for a late breakfast and ordered chicken and biscuits with eggs. The wait service was a little slow in engaging but fast and friendly once we got connected. The food came out quickly. The taste was delicious and the portions just right. $20 with tip was a good value. Overall good experience. I'll be going back and referring others.

The first thing you notice when coming up stairs is the friendly atmosphere. Staff is laughing and calling out to each other while engaging the customers. The food is great with hearty portions.

Simply delicious. Awesome service and great food . Glad we tried it and we will be back for sure. Definitely a hidden gem in the Freight House complex.

The Diner AKA "Mom's" is an amazing place located on the river in Davenport, IA. The staff is super friendly and genuine. Today, I tried the cluck Norris skillet without the eggs and it was amazing. Everything is seasoned and the sauce on the chicken is amazing too. They recently added items to their menu as well so there's plenty to try. They also serve brunch, lunch, mimosas and few other beverages.

The food is excellent. The cheese curd appetizer is amazing. The entire menu is delicious! Pizzas, flatbread, burgers, sandwiches and salads. The burgers are a family favorite. Service is very attentive and they were quick to rectify the single error we've had in an order. We like the ambiance as well. There is a patio for outdoor seating-very close to the bike path along the river and we often see groups of cyclists stop for refreshments.

It's down across from the river in an older building. There's a good amount of parking and tons of character! We sat outside on a nice night - there were probably 8-10 picnic tables as well as a good amount of seating inside. The beer selection was solid and included a number of nonalcoholic options. The food here is gastropub style stuff and was really good! The Cobb salad was a memorable one with a ton of meat. The kids got Philly cheesesteaks - those were unexpectedly delicious and included homemade cheese whiz. Another kiddo got a chicken bacon ranch flatbread - excellent and reminded delicious out of the fridge the following day! The pizzas looked good too and were (as we found) all available as flatbreads. The service was excellent and despite the busy evening, they got to us quick and took good care of us. We don't often plan to return to out of town spots, but this is one we'll definitely be back to!

I'll admit I was a little bit disappointed with the experience. The ambiance is very nice. The restaurant was in the downtown area very close to the mississippi river. There seemed to be a lot happening at the other establishments. In the area. The service was efficient , although we weren't a big fan of our server. One of the things that bothered me was when our bill came and they have those handheld machines that cash you out , the server stood over the top of us waiting to see how much gratuity we were gonna apply to our check. That's one thing that should never be done in a nicer place. The food was decent. The brussels sprout salad was absolutely fantastic. We ordered four different entrees. The swordfish , the salmon , lamb meatballs and a pasta dish. All came out hot looking really nice and had multiple components. Some of the dishes lacked seasoning and the overall wow factor. The bill came out to $240 with one salad , four entrees and five alcoholic drinks. Very reasonable fo four people at a nice place. We didn't order dessert, but I would've liked to try the cheesecake.

It located across from the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds on W. Lotus Street. They have a mixed menu of American and Thai dishes they offer. The Gypsy Highway's vibe is a cross between nostalgic late 70's, early 80's biker bar, live indoor/outdoor music venue, while being a full service restaurant and bar. They also have a small arcade in the back a few what look to be video poker or slot machines by the bar, 3 very large LED displays strategically placed around the bar and a massive projection screen TV on the indoor stage when nobody's playing. Sorry I didn't get to look outside at the wood fenced in area, where the wooden outdoor stage is. There is lots of seating and they even have dance nights, local bands perform regularly, and other events. Like when I went there was Trivia Night. This place has been a long time local scene in the West End of Davenport, IA for decades. Couple of the downsides about the atmosphere is the noise. It's Loud. For off hours and a Trivia Night, but not loud enough that you can't hear the person talking across a large round table ment for a party of 8-10 people. The amount of flashing lights in the place. If you have any issues with flashing lights you might not want to visit. There is not a single sight line place inside that does have some sort of constantly flashing light. Even lights that would have been of at any other venue or palace that host bands at their establishments wouldn't run strong stage color ambient lights on, especially those sitting behind a massive screen. Anyone sitting in the back and looking towards the stage (even though those seats not that many but unlucky) are in for a painful night out, if not there for a band. The food is 50/50 depending on what you get. Presentation wise I would give it 80 to 100%. I was with my family and got to try 4/5 dishes. They I had the Yellow Curry w/ Shrimp. I have to say it was really good. It was sweet and savory the Jasmine rice was delicious with it. My only complaint with the dish was it should have been served in served in a bowl of some kind and w/ some Naan bread to help clean the bowl at the end. Serving on a plate made the dish hard to eat. Next up Chicken Tinders and an order of Onion Rings. This should be avoided at all costs!! They look great, but have absolutely zero flavor and taste. That's hard to do when the batter is supposed to be Bear Batter. Same with the french fries. Next is a Cheese Burger w/ (+) Bacon and Onion Rings instead of the Fries. Well the burger was well made and delicious. The Bacon was thick crisp and 4 slices which was good. The replaced Onion Rings well that part gets worse. The count was a measly 5 and not even large ones at that! Last one I got to try was the blackens grilled fish. It was a fillet of haddock covered with some sort of white gravy served with a few pieces of zucchini and a couple of red potatoes halved. I didn't get to try the veg. The fish I did. By itself it was pretty good, but with the gravy it was not noticeably, not as good to almost being tasteless. The gravy overwhelms the fish and doesn't complement, nor enhance the flavor. The waitress we had was nice and answered our questions promptly. She did check in with us from time to time. Overall she gets a 9/10. Hope y'all like my review and read next time. Sorry no pics this time forgot my phone.
