Old fashion

Stopped by late night and decided to get some drinks. The service was extremely fast but the price of the drinks were somewhat questionable to say this is New Orleans. Paid $26 for a lemon drop and old fashion. But the vibes were very friendly just a little shocked at the drink prices. lol

Love the vibe! Our bartender is fantastic. Great service. I even got an iced coffee!! Yay

LOL! I can relate.

The District is a friendly neighborhood dive where locals gather to get away from the heat, watch sports, or chat over a stiff drink. I met up with a dear friend that I have not seen in over 20 years, and this was the perfect spot to catch up. Our bartender was friendly and welcomed us with a smile. The background music was great and the vibe was chill & relaxed. Drinks are served in a "go-cup," which is common around here. NOLA is the only place I won't get upset about my cocktail not being served in the proper glassware. However, I wouldn't order a martini at places like this. I know where to go for a proper martini because there is no way I'll be drinking a martini out of a "go-cup."

Cool bar to have drinks and chill. We sat at the bar, late on a Thursday night, to have a drink. The bartender was very helpful and attentive. Ordered a double, and there was no skimping. We appreciated that.

My fiancé and I were walking around New Orleans, trying to look for a place close to our hotel to have a cold beverage, we came across this place. The sign outside actually caught our attention so we stopped by and the two gentlemen working really made us feel welcomed and gave us a lot of pointers for our cruise we have planned, as well as tourist sites and other places to check out for our stay in New Orleans. I highly recommend this place for the delicious alcohol and great atmosphere and also great music. Thank you guys so much. We'll definitely stop and visit in the future.

After dinner, we wanted to get a couple of drinks. We were full from dinner, but bars here are mandated to serve food along with the drinks. We ended up ordering chips and artichoke dip. My husband ordered the Jack and coke and I ordered a White Russian. Big drinks with just the right amount of alcohol. My husband also ordered a Mexican mule and two shots of tequila. Our server was friendly and the owner also stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our drinks. Nice place for drinks in the warehouse district.

awesome venue for a casually but planned event of 50 guets! always gorgeous holiday decor, fantastic service and yummy food ! Love the vibe !!

Good beer at a good bar

I love this sports bar. It is down the street from other bars/clubs such as Lucy's and Barcadia. So perfect for when you want to step out of the club and have a chill drink down the street. I also love game days or post game days there! The service is always good. My go to drink is a Dos Equis with lime. If you are looking for some bar food they have a pretty good menu. I have had their chips and queso and the pepper jack grilled cheese served with zapps chips! Not gonna lie I had the zapps chips with the leftover queso... 10/10. They are following covid guideline with checking vaccination or negative cards before entering! So have yours ready.

$8 for a well drink is too high. The avg for the area is $5. Also the food is pretty blah.

My daughter is a huge fan of chicken wings--like, she wants to eat them every day --so she was beyond excited when we walked in. We were seated immediately and ordered drinks--me, a much-needed beer, and my daughter, a soda. For food, we went with the lemon pepper wings, nachos, and onion rings. Let me tell you... these wings were . Some of the best I've ever had! Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside . I honestly wish we had a place like this back home in Cali. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and super helpful, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Definitely a spot we'll be coming back to next time! Highly recommend for wing lovers.

When we walked in the hostess hardly acknowledged us. I asked if we could sit at the bar and she said yes so we walked over. The bar was full so we went back and asked if we could do a table instead. She laughed in our face and looked at us like we were crazy or inconveniencing her. And she was lounging on the bench on her phone, not even behind the counter to greet guests. There were tons of empty tables that hadn't even been cleaned off yet so we just sat at the cleanest one that at least didn't have dishes on it. It took FOREVER for a waitress to even come to us and take our order. After we placed our orders I think our waitress sensed that we were not having a good time so she apologized for the wait and was very kind and pleasant compared to the hostess. I wanted to try the pepper jack boudin egg-rolls. My boyfriend got the fried local shrimp. I did not like the boudin egg-roll. It was fried very hard and I wasn't the biggest fan of the boudin sausage but I wanted to try it because I never had it. You win some you some. I just ended up eating my boyfriend's shrimp because it had taken so long to get our food that the kitchen was basically getting ready to close so I didn't order anything else. Soooo yea. Not my go to choice for a bar. They did have these cool movie theatre style lounge chair in front of the big screen though so that was cool.

Located right at St. Charles & Carrollton on the streetcar line, it's super easy to get to and always buzzing in the best way. The drink options are endless--great cocktails, frozen margaritas, beer by the glass or pitcher, and a huge variety of beers to choose from. TVs are everywhere, making it a perfect spot to catch sporting events, meet up with friends, or just hang out solo. The vibe is low-key, casual, and welcoming--no frills, just a consistently good time. I also love that they're open 11 AM to 1 AM, seven days a week, which is clutch no matter the day or occasion. And finding out they've been around since 1977 just adds to the charm and legacy. If you're looking for great happy hour options, strong cocktails, classic New Orleans eats, and an Uptown spot where you can relax and connect with friends, Cooter Brown's always delivers. Definitely one of those places that never goes out of style. A true NOLA staple.

This will sound weird to say: Walk-On's isn't good, which made it great. Here's what I mean. You aren't coming into Walk-On's for high-end tasting menu cuisine, or beautiful sights, or the kind of people watching you'll get at sexier, hip bars in this or any city. But if you wanna grub and watch a game? I would come to Walk-On's every week if it was near my house. Lots of TVs. Food comes out of the kitchen fast. The mozzarella "logs" are magnificent, and absolutely terrible for you...but not any worse than the doughnut bread pudding, built on actual Krispy Kreme doughnuts, which almost left me with a heart attack. The waffle fries were great every night. (The burger? Not as great.) The prices for a bourbon "double" pour are very fair, much more so than the prices in other cities I hit on a regular basis. The wings, I am told, are solid. There is a general sense that everyone on staff is hustling, based on my three visits there this week, even when the space wasn't that crowded. I will be back for future Jazzfests!

And that experience is lost. Which is really disappointing. I imagined something more than we got. The back bar doesn't serve all the drinks and mainly does the traditional absinthe experience- great- but there's nothing that says that and there's tables and chairs but no one to educate you or offer suggestions. There's the back bartender. It's all very confusing. The back area would be sick with a piano player or acoustic guitar player or even a small jazz band and someone to invite you to experience "absinthe" and more so, traditionally. If you're spending $60+ make it worth it. Inviting. Educating. Alluring. An experience. This wasn't the experience I thought we might get at such a unique, historic spot.

Great experience…read more We visited Tableau for the first time. We sat at the bar and had a a drink ahead of our 5:45 pm dinner reservation. Bartender Derek took care of us. My wife had a canned Mockly mocktail and I had a Woodford Old Fashioned. She enjoyed her mocktail and my Old Fashioned was decent. We were seated near the kitchen. It was really cold in this area. Thankfully, we both brought light jackets with us. The head waiter (young man in a suit) had the aircon adjusted and it did get better. Newell was our server. What a peach. She said she's been at Tableau since they opened in 2013. She took good care of us. My wife ordered the Chicken Tableau dinner. I ordered the Maison Salad and the French Onion Soup. My wife enjoyed her meal. I sampled the crispy chicken thigh portion of her meal and it was quite tasty. My salad was smallish and looked pretty wimpy but the dressing was real nice and I liked the nuts on the salad. The standout for me, by far was the French Onion Soup. It was the second best I've ever had. The onions were well caramelized, the broth was deep with flavor and the cheese great. The portion was quite large as well. Quite a value in my opinion and honestly, paired with the salad was plenty of food for me. A loaf of soft bread with whipped butter was served at the beginning. Miss Jewell did a good job of serving and checking in on us. I will definitely be back to Tableau on our next visit to NOLA.
