My only issue was that the bakery is located in an alleyway, so I had to make multiple turns to get here. If you're already strolling in Old Town Pasadena, then it's an easy treat for your pup. I ordered the circle cake with peanut decor for $29.99. I will say that it's quite pricey, but isn't that why we work so hard --so our dogs can get the best life? The cake is super adorable and I was pleasantly surprise that the word "adoptaversary" was able to fit onto the cake. It's a very cute little store in Pasadena. There's lots of cute yummy healthy treats available for your canine baby, there's even a small section for felines. Ordered the cutest pupcake from here for my dog's Gotcha Day. I liked that you can customize the cake online and choose between different flavors and shapes. There's also an option to make the cake grain-free which was what I decided to opt for. I chose the chocolate flavor (not made from real chocolate). I took my dog here on the day we picked up the cake and decided to celebrate her big day. I was delighted to hear that we also get an additional discount if we buy anything from the store along with the cake I ordered for my dog so I decided to pick up a handkerchief and some plates for her. And the final verdict for the cake? My dog loved it so much and it made me so happy to see her enjoy her cake. 3.6 stars I bought some doggy treats for a birthday dog get-together. And while the dog treats are incredibly cute, unfortunately, there were mixed results. All our dogs have sensitive tummies, but only one dog got diarrhea the day after he ate the cheesy bites. My dog ate a cinnamon/ginger smelling cookie plus a (peanut butter?) cupcake and was fine the next day. The birthday dog seemed ok the following day as well. So, I'd recommend the dog treats from this bakery if you know your dog can tolerate it. (And I realize it's hard to pinpoint one specific food item a dog eats as the culprit for an upset tummy, but it's still worth being cautious. Better safe than sorry.) read more

Honestly, it was a bit deceiving when the cake looks bigger in the picture than it actually is in person. So their round circle cake was about $33 for something of the size similar to a small New York cheesecake. Supposedly this also can feed 3-6 dogs too! This was my first visit to this bakery, the shop is located in the little alley way next to the Cheesecake Factory in old town pasadena. The shop was cute and filled with wonderful looking treats for our beloved furry friends at home. I would have given this place a 5 star if it wasn't for the customer service i received at the store. It was my first time at the store and the lady in the front packing orders was rude and seemed extremely irritated with having to answer my questions regarding the different baked goods (my dogs are picky eaters and prefer softer treats). It felt as if my orders for 3 treats wasn't enough to warrant her full attention and she didn't want my business since it was a small order. I've been waiting for my dog's 15th birthday to finally get her a cake from here and it was perfect! I drove almost 30 miles to pick it up because there really aren't too many dog bakeries in SoCal. I've been a longtime fan of Rocky Kanaka and really admire the work he does for shelter animals. Curbside pickup is a little tricky because the store is in an alleyway in old town Pasadena. Other restaurants in the same alleyway have set up outdoor dining which made me nervous trying to maneuver thru to the bakery. You can enter thru Colorado or Green st. My original plan was to order for mail delivery and it was suggested that we give it a 5 day arrival window, but when you actually start placing your order, you will be warned to give it at least 7 days. In the end, I just placed the order 3 days in advanced and drove to the store. The cake was perfect! The circle size was more than enough for my 3 dogs. The box has a label with storage instructions and can last up to 10 days in the fridge. $29 is a little steep for such a small cake, but a fun splurge considering your dog only turns 15 once. read more

Wheat free ingredients: rice, flour, potato starch, egg, applesauce, honey, oil. Special ordered as grain free additional $5.99. Chose dark brown siding (carob) with dark brown writing. It was easy, convenient, and fast. I had also placed an order for the birthday package which included a party hat, decorations, candle but they called me a couple of days before to let me know they were sold out of the package.
