    Cool decor

Walked in, this place has a slightly divey beachy feel to it. Cool artwork and old fishing photos on the wall. We sat at the bar and the server took our order. We ordered the Coney 1/4# Dog, the All the Way 1/4# Dog and the Rubble Rage. We also ordered sides of the Cheese Fries and House Brussel Sprouts. Everything was excellent! The dogs were juicy and snappy. The toppings all had interesting flavors but worked well! The fruity pebbles were surprisingly good and added a fun crunchy texture. Cheese fries reminded me of my high school years staying out late in diners. And the Brussels were amazing! 10/10 would come back again.

The Dog House is located right on main street and parking out front may be limited. I ordered the pickle chips appetizer and southern charm smash burger. The order of pickle chips was larger than I expected, definitely big enough to share. The southern charm burger was also bigger than I expected. The burger was well cooked and you could definitely taste the bacon. The staff were nice although they seemed very busy. The ambiance of the restaurant itself is great, especially being right on Palafox!

Steak and Cheese Po' Boy with House Brussels

We were struggling to find a place to eat for dinner and stumbled across The Dog House and it did not disappoint!! It was fantastic. We came in just before closing (which we didn't realize) but our waitress was so sweet and encouraged us to still order both food and drinks. She was helpful when it came to questions about our order and preferences. She had a smile every time she came to our table. The Steak and Cheese Po' Boy was phenomenal! It was juicy (without making a mess), flavorful, and well-balanced. They added the perfect amount of toppings, etc. inside so the ratio of filling to bread was perfect. The Brussel sprouts were roasted with a sweet crust and topped with bacon, cheese, green onion and red onion. The flavor profile was unmatched. The ambiance was nice. They had multiple TVs, which makes it a great spot to watch sports. Tonight they had the "Paws" channel on a couple of the TV's, going along with their theme. Overall amazing experience here and would definitely go back!

    Bayou Grits & bottomless champagne

We really enjoyed our visit to The Dog House! We both ordered the Bayou Grits & it was amazing! They offered bottomless mimosas, need I say more, with a generous pour and juice on the side, which I liked! Our waitress, Shelby, was top notch and took excellent care of us! We would for sure come back to eat more food at The Dog House during our next beach vacation!

I really like the vibe of this place. Very laid back and not uptight. They have a great happy hour with $4 domestics (wish it was draft not bottles though), $6 cocktails, and $3 dogs. They also have fantastic breakfast burritos. All of the servers here are nice, and at the bar you'll nearly be a member of the kitchen staff. Give them a heads up if you're bringing a group because it's a little tight inside. Overall great place with great vibes.

    Shrimp po'boy

We went to The Dog House on Tuesday for lunch. It was very busy inside, so half of our party sat outside. Despite being busy, the wait wasn't too long. The service was friendly. Our server checked on us multiple times and refilled our drinks. The food was amazing. I had the shrimp po'boy. The bread was thick and delivered and perfect crunch. The shrimp was nice and crispy and full of flavor. My brother had the steak and cheese sandwich, and it was huge. He almost always finishes his food, but he could only eat about half. The fries were somewhat lacking though. The restaurant has a cool vibe. I like the dog above the door as you walk in. Outside, there are also dog treats for dogs. I would definitely come back, and maybe try a dog next time.

Great menu and delicious food- there are vegan options as well. We sat at the bar and it had a great atmosphere. Service was amazing and very friendly. We ordered so much more but I forgot to take more pics. I will update next time I go.

Plain and dry cheeseburger with a side of fries.

We were driving in the area and were attracted to this place and saw the reviews were great. Our family stopped here for some lunch and were not disappointed by their friendly service, great food and chill ambiance! My kids ordered a plain and dry cheeseburger with fries and they loved it. My husband ordered a frito pie hot dog and a BBQ hot dog and he loved them both! The buns were delicious and made the hot dog so good! I ordered the Holy Amole hot dog with a side of candied Brussels. The hot dog was delicious and spicy! The Brussels were the bomb! Lots of flavor in both!

My husband and I Visited The Dog House today, the service was great! The had a hotdog called the Velvet Elvis, beef dog with peanut butter, bananas and bacon. I was intrigued and had to order it. I got that and a kraut with spicy mustard as a back up, just in case I hated it. . I was not disappointed!! I will definitely order it again! My husband got the diner burger and his was great as well. We ordered a fried banana moon pie for dessert, so good. Oh we also had the blood orange margaritas. 10/10 recommend.

Came here during lunch break with my sister yesterday. While the menu is quite expansive, I was laser focused on the dog selection (which was pretty impressive as well). My sister and I both ordered practically the same thing with a slight variation in the toppings - a 6 in hotdog with chili, cheese, onions, and frito chips! (My sister added jalapeños to hers.) We also ordered a side of baked beans, and when I tell you they changed my life, I'm not kidding. The beans were sweet and savory, which is just how I like them, and came with an amazing amount of sausage!! Sharing the beans was a mistake because I definitely needed my own serving. The hotdogs were also delicious. I loved the crunchy component of the Fritos and the dog itself was just great. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The weather is so nice right now that there wasn't even a table available outside! The inside was nice and cozy with bar seating, regular tables, and TVs. I forgot our servers name (whoops!) but she was so lovely. I can't wait to come back here.

Large nachos and a couple dogs

Finally checked out this place as the Saturday Palafox Market dwindled down due to a rainy morning. They were quite busy but we were able to get a table on the patio after a short wait. Started out with drinks - a bloody Mary and a canned beer (great selection of cans/bottles). The bloody was perfect, great presentation and flavor, best on Palafox thus far! Ordered the Royal Nachos and two dogs - Founder's Favorite for me and Southern Charm for my wife, both as quarter pounders. The nachos were decent but there was too much chili sauce and not enough cheese. We felt like a sprinkle of shredded cheese could have helped. The dogs were great and toppings mixed together well. There were several signature options but also an option to create your own. Not to mention, plenty of other options besides hot dogs from seafood to burgers to several app options. We enjoyed checking this out and will be back. The patio is an awesome spot for people watching but there is also a cozy inside space with some bigger tables. Our server was also very friendly and encouraged us to come back!

Pork belly LT. EXCELLENT. But I'll bet it is all good. I'll be back. Fries were perfect. Thanks y'all.

My daughter had a doctors appointment in town and so we went by to check out this restaurant. It was delicious! It's called the doghouse and I'm sure they have amazing hot dogs, but we both had pork and it was fantastic. I've also heard they have the best hamburgers in town. One caveat, however, is that we don't visit Pensacola that often and I did not realize that was pay to park outside and I ended up with a $25 ticket so when you go, please pay attention to the parking signs. None of that's on The Dog House, of course. Thanks for the nice meal.

Had just spent the weekend in Gulf Shores, and were headed for the airport, but needed a quick lunch. There is street parking, but there are also lots right around the corner that you can pay to park. The restaurant itself really packs the people in, but the waitstaff is friendly and efficient and you get served right away. I decided to go with the grilled cheese sandwich for lunch and I have to tell you, it was the most amazing grilled cheese sandwich I have ever eaten! I know we're not talking high culinary menu item here, but I can only imagine if you can do a grilled cheese sandwich this well, everything else must've been amazing! The fries were delicious too, we cleaned our plates!! Absolutely would return here in a heartbeat if ever back in the area.

We arrived around 10:30 on a Wednesday morning and we were wrong to think that the place would be empty after an early breakfast rush. We were seating upon entering by Brooke who also was our server. The menu is varied and we found out that you can order anything at anytime. We had ordered the Spicy Pulled Pork omelette and Shrimp and Grits. Next time, we're thinking a Grouper sandwich as they were being enjoyed at two tables next to us and looked delicious. Our breakfast entrees arrived quickly. The omelette came with a choice of side and I chose the potatoes. They were seasoned but a bit cold and hard. Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.

While I initially rated the customer service a 7/10, it became clear that the professionalism of the establishment was lacking. When our food arrived, I was shocked to find hair in both my wife's dish and one of my friend's meals, which made for a very unpleasant dining experience. We promptly informed our server, who communicated our concerns to the manager, Rita. However, we found ourselves waiting longer than expected for her to address the issue. Ultimately, we had to seek her out ourselves, which felt dismissive and unprofessional. Rita offered to either remake our meals or remove them from the bill, but let's be clear--no one is inclined to pay or leave a tip for food they cannot eat. I also want to address Ron's response to our concerns. Rather than displaying empathy, it felt more like a defensive reaction as he was upset we did not leave a review for food we didn't pay for. The lack of professionalism in his response only added to our disappointment. It's crucial for management to handle such issues with care and urgency to ensure a positive dining experience. I hope the team at Another Broken Egg can learn from this feedback and improve their service for future guests.

Cafe Single Fin: Great Concept, Average Plate…read more Cafe Single Fin is one of those places where the experience starts before you even find the restaurant. I drove around the block several times looking for it. Turns out, the restaurant is tucked inside a surf and skateboard shop. Once I finally figured that out, I walked in and immediately knew this wasn't going to be your average Pensacola lunch. The cafe is basically the centerpiece of the shop, surrounded by some seriously interesting vibes. I was greeted by scream-o music, which eventually segued into coffeehouse music and then some lighter indie stuff. Quite the musical journey. I half expected the playlist to ask me to pick a lane. What drew me in was the menu. Clean, interesting and exactly the kind of thing that makes you think, OK, these people might be onto something. I went with the blackened mahi tacos with rice and beans. And this is where things got a little less interesting. The food was fresh. The presentation was nice. Unfortunately, the flavor never really showed up for work. The mahi was supposed to be blackened, but I'm not convinced the blackening seasoning actually made it from the kitchen to the plate. The beans were also undercooked and under-seasoned. Nothing was bad, exactly. It just lacked the punch that the menu had promised. And that's the frustrating part. There is clearly a cool concept here, and the menu has enough personality to make you expect something memorable. The plate just didn't deliver the same energy as the room. Maybe I'm simply outside the target demographic. There seemed to be a pretty strong twenty-something surf/skate crowd, and perhaps I'm just not fluent in the culinary dialect of that demographic yet. Interesting place. Interesting concept. Interesting vibes. Friendly/helpful staff. Pretty average food.
