Loooooooove Doghouse. Between the bingo & jepordy nights, the friendly locals, and the kick-ass staff, this is one of my go-to spots on island for a strong drink and a huge crunchwrap. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, all of it is good. Even the vegetarian options. The pulled pork and the chicken wings are especially delicious. The portions here are hefty, and after a long day in the sun havin' fun, a pitstop here will ground ya for the night. Pricewise, this spot is a bargin. Its loud and can get a lil rowdy on the weekends, but otherwise a great spot to kickback and watch the game. The kitchen is open late too. A friend and I visited the Dog House Pub when we were in St. Thomas and it was right on the road where we were staying for the week. Not a super hopping area and on a street vs. the beach or anything fancy like that. We saw a chicken or two wandering around also. But the staff and food were great, so that made up for the location not being the best. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was super nice and helpful about which drinks might be good for us when we told him what flavors we were feeling. I had my first of many Island Summer Ale beers here (brewed in St. John). Served very crisp and cold in a frosty bottle. For food, I had the fish tacos (when in Rome - or on an island, in this case), along with tater tots. The tacos were tasty, with fried fish, lettuce, and a cheesy sauce on top. My friend had tacos too, but picked the beef protein, and chose the beans as her side. Her's also looked delish, so I would try those if I ever make it back that way. As we left (after dark), the bartender did us another favor. We almost got in the wrong car, thinking it was our taxi, and he ran out and grabbed us and said that was not a taxi at all! I'm not positive it would have been dangerous to get in the car, but it definitely felt like he saved us. We stopped here on a Friday night during their bingo night- it was very lively and loud but we really didn't mind. My husband got a burger and I got the chicken biscuit sliders, as well as corn fritters. Service was a little slow but we were on vacation and nowhere to be, plus our waitress was super friendly. When the food arrived, it was delicious, especially the corn fritters. My friend got a Chicken salad and the chicken breast was welled seasoned and the veggies inside the salad were nice and fresh. The ambiance is very chill and laid back. It's a corner bar with limited seating. The bartenders were very friendly and polite. Did not bug you or hassle you just gave excellent service to make sure you were happy. Visited St. Thomas for the day and immediately got on Yelp to find a spot for lunch. This one won our attention and was also recommended by leatherback brewing. We were on a week long cruise, and dare I say this was my most favorite meal of the trip. Crunch wrap supreme while sipping a local IPA and staring out at the water. It doesn't get any better than that. The place was packed with locals. Staff treats you like family. It's mainly open air with lots of views. Overall 10/10. This review is overdue. I was in town for the Paradise Jam. Stumbled upon dog house while driving in search of a bar. It easily became our go to spot every night while in town. It's appeal is it's outdoors and patio area. Super chill vibes. Keep in mind Ass up Mask up they take masks very serious here which I respect. We had a ton of food salad, fries, tots, wings in different sauces and plantains. I must say the tots and plantains were so dang on delicious. Best plantains I had on the island. Super cheap drink prices you can easily get lit here as well. Will def visit the next time I'm on the island. read more

You have to stop here if you are at the port for a cruise or in the area for any other reason. The atmosphere is a 10 and the food will blow you away. I was disappointed with my stop here. The location just outside the Havensight port area was nice, but the service was inattentive and glum. Free wi-fi is important at a port stop, and it was down here, and had been down for some time. The drinks were okay, and we didn't try the food. I haven't had a good burger in a long time and The Dog House Pub serves up one of the best beefy, juicy, patties between two pieces of bread on St. Thomas. Their burgers are just awesome, I think it has something to do with how they melt their cheese into the beef but when your burger comes with onion rings and bacon inside of it, its drool worthy! The hubby and I hit up this outdoor bar/restaurant near Havensight for the last time before leaving St.Thomas and our burger did not disappoint. We ordered the cowboy burger $14 (two beef patties (1/2 lb) with onion rings, bacon, BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese) and with the fries it's a hearty meal and can feed two people. They don't have their full menu yet post hurricanes (so no signature burger) but they are accepting credit cards, they have free wi-fi, 7 TV's with working cable, and are now dog friendly (saw a lady sit down at the bar with her fur baby with no problems). Service is quick/efficient and parking is the first left past the restaurant, there is an open dirt lot and at the rear 2 charging stations for electronic cars. If you like spicy ask for their "Haitian Heat" hot sauce. It's amazing on fries and we couldn't tell of what exactly was it in but it faintly tasted like it had ginger in it. Great homemade spicy concoction. It seems like they are selling dog food in all sorts of bag sizes (which is a good thing due to so many pet stores barely being able to stay operational because of hurricane damage) They have canned and dry dog food for sale. They are also doing a thanksgiving dinner for the community and it's a pay as much as you can, take as much as you need kind of thing. How cool is that? More restaurants on St. Thomas should do that for the community for the upcoming holiday because so many families are still struggling from what the hurricanes did a few months ago. Nate the bartender was an asshole. Myself and two other friends wanted to order some drinks and showed our federal IDs to do so. Nate insisted that we needed a credit card to prove our identity despite the fact that they were Real IDs and denied us drinks. He insisted we were giving him pushback after simply asking if this establishment required two forms of ID. **Local patrons are NOT friendly to tourists** My 4 friends and I stopped in around 10pm for a cocktail. I accidentally picked up a phone next to me on the bar which I thought belonged to my friend. Upon realizing it wasn't my friend's phone I immediately placed it back down (which took all of 3 seconds). The phone was owned by a local patron who then proceeded to verbally assault our party by screaming "F-ing Tourists!!! Don't touch my personal property!!" We apologized and tried telling him it was a simple mistake. At this point one friend of mine KINDLY said "hey just chill.....he didn't touch your phone on purpose". This angry man's female companion then yelled "Don't tell him to chill! He'll go nuts on you!!" We just ignored them both, finished our 1 round of drinks and left. Meh, not our best VI experience. My burrito was passable as such but the paper under it became saturated and fell apart into my meal. The wait staff was inattentive and the bar was very loud. There were several drunks there that they not only kept serving but did birthday shots with him. Lots of F bombs and overall obnoxious behavior. I'll admit, we wandered over here because the power was out everywhere and this place had a generator and outside seating. It looks seedy but we were hungry. What a pleasant surprise. Decent prices, great drinks, good food. And our waitress Marissa made this a 5 star review. Sweet, laid back, full of great advice. Sometimes you wander into a place expecting the worst and have a great time. My stepson had an amazing chimichanga, the other one said the chicken fingers were fantastic with the best honey must've ever had. Visited The Dog House Pub with my husband and his siblings for a round of drinks. We were desperately looking for some nightlife on the island, but apparently all of the bars on the island were deserted on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Didn't try the food, but we did order a round of beers. Nice beer selection, but the bar was completely empty that night besides one other group of tourists so we caught a cab back to our hotel after we finished our beers. Great little dive bar where the locals gather. It's across the street from the cruise ships and main shopping mall. Prices cannot be beat. They are literally half of what you would pay at the mall area. Word of caution- be aware of extra friendly strangers. There are plenty of pimps and hookers trying to get to know you. Been to St Thomas, VI many times. I saw this place the last time I passed by it and it's natural dive bar vibe attracted me. Finally, this trip, I was able to hang there and it was all I had hoped! We stopped here after a morning of snorkeling on a shore excursion. I found this place on Apple maps and it had great reviews and we love dive bars, well this place exceeded expectations. If you're in St Thomas, and especially if you're looking for someone close to cruise port, go to the Dog House!! The service was great, as well as the Rum Punch.
