After 2 weeks of puppy booster training, Olaf came home at 10 weeks old already mellow, essentially crate-trained, and an absolute perfect match for us as first-time dog owners. This place gave us a lot of peace of mind to find a safe place so we can enjoy a vacation without worry. We hope to return and maintain a reliable relationship for our dogs. There's a lot of places to choose from. This place looked very similar to other dog boarding homes, the floor is worn from a lot of dogs and it's not sparkling clean. But those things don't matter as long as my dog is safe and happy when I get back from Vacation! Glad we found this place close to home.

We tried obedience classes, 2 different trainers and implementing a variety of strategies I researched online... nothing worked. These habits continued and I was very overwhelmed by the future with my dog. I dreaded walks and driving with him. I was desperate to find some effective help. That's where Dave comes in (shout out to Mary at Bit O'Blarney Grooming services for referring him- best groomer around). Dave instilled confidence in myself as my dog's leader. I became/am becoming who my dog needed because of Dave. He made me confident in my delivery of every day training. Within 2 weeks, it clicked for my dog. We have learned how to communicate and successfully pass dogs on leash. We still have training to do, but the improvement I have seen has been amazing!! I have never met a trainer who cares so much about your dog and your concerns. He goes above and beyond to provide owners with the tools necessary to train at home... he even encouraged me to text him updates/questions outside of the session! He quickly responded to my questions which was so helpful when continuing to train in between our meetings. I'm so grateful to have met Dave and have him share part of his wisdom with me. Max is a half husky and half American bully, and previous trainers have refused to work with him without placing him on anti-anxiety medication first. I dropped off a blank slate and picked up a (slightly larger) puppy with more commands than I knew what to do with. The pickup session was clear, informative, and they patiently walked me through the pertinent things my pup had learned. I continued the sessions and have been going for the past year. Highly recommend at least 5 sessions after board + train so that you can get up to speed with all the things your dog has learned. If you do the homework and give it 5-10 minutes a day - it will change you and your dog's lives. Admittedly, there are still things my pup randomly seems to know that I later find out she learned in Board + Train as a 4 month old. Overall, this is the best place to send your pup. Responsive, punctual, extremely clean, and strangers will routinely tell you how well-behaved your dog is (if you do everything Rich tells you to do :)

Before her first stay, they gave us a tour of the property and had Lucy complete a daycare trial, which gave me so much confidence. One of my favorite moments has been running into some of the staff on our walks. Lucy gets so excited and runs right up to them, which says everything about how well she's cared for there. I've also referred family friends, and they've all had great experiences. Desjardins is a place I trust completely, and I know Lucy is always happy and well cared for.

She was extremely responsive, communicative, and took the time to explain help me learn about my Aussie. Mary did an incredible job gently cleaning my girl's overgrown undercoat out without rushing the process. You can tell she truly cares about the comfort and wellbeing of the animals she works with. She also took extra precautions with my Aussie's sensitive hips, which meant a lot to me. She looks healthier, happier, and so much more comfortable.
