My little guy is a bit timid, but I think he has gotten comfy with her over the past few years and so I don't feel too nervous when I leave him. The store itself has a ton of toys, treats, foods and snacks for all types of pets and Baxter will always leave with at least 1-2 new treats as a reward for being a good boy at the groomers! The cashiers are usually very helpful and whenever there are coupons to use for items or grooming they have offered to scan the coupon or enter the code which is super nice. Who doesn't like to save a little money? I know I do!

Lucky for me and my new Princess, they had all three in her size and the color purple. So we were in and out in flash. I didn't need to buy her any treats, because I had already gotten her a Princess Cookie and a Gotcha Cookie from another location in preparation of her adoption. Chatting with the staff and telling them she was just adopted a hour ago, they gave her a Soft Bite Cheeseburger. That was a nice customer service gesture. I took my teen daughter, I paid $14 or $15 per person to be in a room with cats for 1 hour, and left after 10 minutes. Given that it says Cafe, I assumed there would be food available, at a minimum I thought I was going to get to hold a cat while drinking a latte. There were a few concessions you could buy, like M&M's. There are rules such as you cannot pick up the cats. I don't know about other cat lovers, but if you can't snuggle a cat I don't know how to tell if it's a fit for you or not lol. My daughter was the one who asked if we could leave, but I did not hesitate to do so. I couldn't help but think we could have been at the humane society holding cats for free. THIS IS THE BIG POINT: the Thomas Raymond yelping and screaming (actually I'd call it other-worldly screeching) for each nail trim (which is above and beyond drama) didn't exist, except for a few yips on this trip. And that makes me happy! He's getting used to it, and The Groom Room is working its magic! I do like that nobody comes home with bows or ribbons or bandanas or any other accoutrements. I hate that stuff. And they're not perfumed up, either. Just good-smelling clean dogs. They went in at 10:30 a.m. and were done by 1 p.m. Thomas Raymond was not having a good day getting along with other dogs, except for Cali Marie and Jacob Mitchell, so he was sequestered with them. And true to form -- which has been a curse we've endured for at least two years -- it rains the day they're groomed. Crap in a handbag!

Our dog Rocco had a blast hanging out with all the other pups and soaking up the fun atmosphere. We also got to try some new spots -- Dirty Soda and Walk Away Waffles -- and both were delicious! The drinks and waffles totally hit the spot. We can't wait to come back again and shop for Rocco in Lola's and Penelope's store. Such a fun, dog-friendly event and an awesome day overall!

The entire staff was warm and welcoming. Haley, made sure we had a warm welcome. Dr. Bugg was warm and welcoming, and even paused to ask if we had questions.
