I adopted a Chihuahua from a STL rescue group. Of course it came with all the accessories, but I'm a picky dog daddy and stopped by TU on our way home. I had already decided her signature color would be purple, to go with her blonde coloring. TU had a nice variety of collars, leashes and harnesses. Lucky for me and my new Princess, they had all three in her size and the color purple. So we were in and out in flash. I didn't need to buy her any treats, because I had already gotten her a Princess Cookie and a Gotcha Cookie from another location in preparation of her adoption. Chatting with the staff and telling them she was just adopted a hour ago, they gave her a Soft Bite Cheeseburger. That was a nice customer service gesture. A smaller store than the one by me but the staff were friendly. They carry the same baked treats common to all the Treats Unleashed stores which is nice because my dog has some favorites and this place is on my way home from work, adding to the convenience aspect. They had a sale during my visit on toys and some treats. The selection is good for treats, toys, food, and other items your pet might need or simply want. I can't believe this location doesn't have more grooming reviews. Ill be the one I was looking for, in hopes of helping others in search of a groomer. I went in one day just to grab a few treats and noticed the cutest dogs behind the counter. When I was told they're the groomers, I instantly wanted an appointment. I could tell from their dogs haircuts that this place was going to be good. I made my appointment for as early as two weeks from the time I made it, which is fast compared to other salons. You are also able to book in advance for a year out, if you like to keep on schedule. My dog Zoe saw Thor & from the moment we met I could tell he cared about Zoe like one of his own. He sat on the floor for about 10 minutes with her getting to know her and asking about my grooming preferences. He also offers fur coloring and creative cuts- which I didn't know initially. My Zoe left 2 hours later with a BEAUTIFUL short haircut (asked for in preparation of summertime) with a purple and pink tail! Such a good, trusting experience for me and Zoe. We have a puppy who likes to chew on his big sisters collar, until it is chewed in half. And at this point we have been through several collars. Sooooo, I went to the Treats Unleashed on Manchester where I found another new, very cute pink and orange polka dot collar for a reasonable price. I took it home, showed it to my husband, who pronounced it v cute, and a good "price performer" since it will inevitably b chewed up! So, next day I decided to just buy more of the same. The Manchester store was out. So I called Ladue, they didn't have any in our size, but the young woman working there took my name and number. And said she'd get back to me. The Ladue location of treats unleased recently expanded, and now they offer grooming. I took my golden retriever, Josie to Ashley to get groomed. I dropped her off And came back two hours later. Doesn't let paying, regular customers use the bathroom even in an emergency? However, they are more than happy to take your money while you are standing at the register squirming in discomfort. They will even point you to the various stores in the neighborhood (all closed as they open later than this store) which you can waste your time, dog in tow, trying to get in to relieve yourself. I eventually was able to find a truly benevolent small dress shop owner around the block who effortlessly accommodated me even without requiring me to spend a dime. I was under the impression I was supporting a locally owned small business offering personal neighborly customer service for their elevated prices; but, Treats Unleashed runs with all the hard cold greedy anonymity of a large corporation. read more

2 1/2 stars When you sign up for the frequent barker program, you get a small bag that says, "Bring this bag on your next visit & fill it with treats for FREE!" The only disclaimer (in tiny font) says, "One time only." So I take my bag in and fill it with a variety of frosted, soft, and crunch treats. When I get to the counter, the store manager says the free offer is only for crunchy treats. I told her that it doesn't say that on the bag. She repeats herself and I repeat that there are no disclaimers saying "crunchy treats only." Then she says in a snotty tone, "That's how we always do it." I didn't want to raise a fuss, so I purchased what was in the bag. I also bought three cans of wet food and a package of Fruitables. The store is nice and has a great variety of pet treats for cats and dogs. And the workerbee behind the counter was very friendly and nice. I had heard about Treats Unleashed through a coworker who had bought my pooch an adorable treat a few months back. When my dog's 1st birthday was nearing, I decided to call the store and order her a dog cake. They were so cheerful and friendly on the phone as I put in my order. The day of the party I stopped in to the store for the first time to pick up the cake. What an awesome selection of dog treats, toys and other goodies?! If I wasn't in a rush to get the dog party started, I would have spent forever looking around and picking stuff out for my spoiled pup. When checking out, I signed up for their membership/frequent buyer program and they gave me 25% of my purchase! They even have those scan-able keychain cards which I thought was pretty cool for a small shop! This is my go to pet store for all of my furbaby's food and treats. The staff here is friendly and always very helpful. My puppy loves coming in here and the staff is very playful with her. I love that they make fresh baked treats daily and there's always a cookie decorated for whichever holiday is approaching. The only complaint I have is that it took another treats unleashed location to tell me about saving my proof of purchases off of the Fromm dog food bag to get 1 free after 12 purchases. If you're insane about getting quality food for your dogs, this place is the place to go to. If they don't have what you're looking for, they'd be happy to order for you. They have a solid selection of raw frozen stuff. It's gotten to the point where they order some really odd stuff, knowing that my wife (aka me running errands) will be picking it up to ensure "variety." A friend has shared with me a few times about how much her and her husband love taking their dog to Treats Unleashed for not only the treats but for the events they have. With my pup's birthday approaching, I finally stopped in to TU Friday evening and was blown away. Yes, this is a small store but there was a plethora of doggie baked goods and so many different kinds of food. They had a decent selection of toys, but not a whole lot. Though I did like that they carried Nylabone toys, they seem to be the only brand of toys my boy doesn't gnaw through within hours of receiving - Nylabone really makes a solid toy for intense chewers. The ladies at the store were more than friendly as I looked around and then as I rang out my purchase. The prices on the soft little ball treats were only $0.50, I thought this was really cheap for a "homemade" treat. My pup loved his little cupcake-shaped birthday treat and the soft pumpkin treat I got him, they were easy to break into little pieces, too. They have an Easter event coming up soon and my friend always raves about the yearly Halloween event. Dogs in costumes, what more could you ask for? So you already know that I love baby food and have an insane crush on Bob Saget. What you DON'T know is that when I was 12, I ate a cat treat. On purpose. To be fair, my 12 year old self was REALLY curious as to what made the family cat go SO crazy over those darn treats. I walked into Treats Unleashed the other day, and the mouthwatering smell of pet treats made my mouth water and my tummy grumble. It smelled like a REAL bakery! It made me wish Snoopy was still around so I could eat some more treats...I mean, so HE could. They would TOTALLY be for my cat. Anyway, I resisted the urge to pop one of the sample dog treats into my mouth right then and there. The fact that the friendly girl behind the counter was staring at me may have had something to do with that decision. Besides, I wasn't here to stuff MY face; I had a kitty to shop for! When I adopted Walcott from the shelter, they had him on Purina One dry cat food. However, after talking to some cat owners and doing research of my own, I knew I didn't want to feed my cat the equivalent of McDonald's french fries. Thankfully, Treats Unleashed has only the best dog and cat foods available. I went with Evo wet cat food, which contains absolutely no grains, fillers, or corn by-products. It's a little (okay, a LOT) more expensive than grocery store brands, but I think it's worth it. They also carry Weruva, Wellness, and a few other quality brands. Treats Unleashed seems to be dog-centered; 99% of the treats were for dogs (I was told that there was ONE treat for cats, and that most cats hate it). However, there were plenty of options for cat food and toys available, which is all that really matters. Besides, I really don't need another opportunity to sample any more cat treats in my lifetime. We wanted to get a cake for our dog's 5th birthday - we ordered one from here and it was fantastic. The paw print cake was textured like a 'cookie treat' we feed our dogs and it was big enough to serve a couple pieces to each dog at our dog party. Nice pet store! When everywhere I called was out of my dog AND cat foods, and I needed both before going on vacation, they had it! They held it for me and had it when I walked in. It's a little tucked in by Spicer's and the sign is hard to see. It's small, but very friendly staff ready to help as soon as you walk in. The prices are a bit more expensive than some places, but not too bad. I like the selection of toys for small dogs - best in town. This is by far the BEST place to buy dog food. The people are amazing and will order things when you ask for them. They keep large bags of frozen rabbit, venison, quail, and turkey sardine food in stock for me. Most places don't carry these specialty foods, and would not even consider ordering them.
