Burnt onion rings asked for no mayo got extra mayo wanted a coke got a Pepsi

Got a sandwich here for the second time and was pretty disappointed- I ordered the same sandwich as last time (vegan fried chicken) but it was nowhere near as good. First of all, I ordered it on sliced sourdough and they gave me a french roll. I also specified no tomato and they left the tomato in. The sandwich is also supposed to have shredded lettuce and pickles, they gave me leaf lettuce and no pickles. Food was still really tasty but the inconsistency and failure to follow instructions is pretty sad...

Almost $50 spent and they get the bread wrong. Pay more attention to orders.

I came on a day that was not busy at all, ordered two sandwiches, and they got the bread wrong. They seem more interested in joking around and cursing in Spanish with each other than getting orders right. The Mac and cheese is more like just cheese soup. Expensive, would not recommend.

This is a small local chain serving a great variety of deli sandwiches with fresh ingredients. I had the Dirty Bird on soft French bread and my wife had the tuna and avocado on sourdough. Both were fresh and tasty. We took them on a picnic, so we didn't add anything else, but they also offer a variety of sides, chips and cookies. Every now and then they give out a free cookie! The staff was efficient and polite, and the store is conveniently located off of Saint Francis in Sunnyvale where you can eat outside on a nice day.

Best casual place to fill a sandwich craving. Reasonable prices, good selection of vegetarian sandwiches, and delicious Dutch Crunch bread made this such a great place to get sandwiches. Loved the option to customize your sandwich, and especially the protein - vegetarian fake chicken or falafel into any sandwich. I tried the Dons Delhi and would recommend it to anyone wanting seasoned falafel and sundried tomatoes. Got some outdoor seating and mishapped indoor seating, so best is to pick up and take on a hike or takeout!

    Lunchtime!!

This is our favorite sandwich place whenever we are at downtown Sunnyvale & want to eat sandwiches. We ordered couple of sandwiches Togo during lunchtime... You can choose your bread for the sandwich and u can also opt for full or half sandwich with soup ( combo) The Pesto Chic Hot Chicken, Mozzarella & Basil Pesto w/Mayo, Dijon Mustard, Herbed Olive Oil, Shredded Lettuce, Tomatoes & Red Onions we choose on whole wheat bread. Rotating special- Horsin' Around- tri trip sandwich We choose Dutch crunch bread Both the sandwiches very delicious as always. We love their quality & yummy taste. It was quite filling very generous portions. We have tried many different flavors of sandwiches from the time they opened their doors at Sunnyvale location... it's a beautiful addition to the downtown amongst the various food choices we have. They also have outdoor seating!!!

As seen in previous reviews this place is DIRTY! I've come here a few times over the years and today was notably the worst. The seating area was dirty, and you can see in the back it was as well. Now this is my first time looking behind the counter and all of the employees make sandwiches with their bare hands ! And we're talking touching the deli meat, produce, everything. Straight from the register/back area right into touching food with no handwashing in between. I told them it was gross what I saw, and she claimed the girl making it was new, so then gloves came on. But of course it was the samething. Now they were touching everything and back to the food but with gloves on. There was another man in the back making a huge order bare hands still. Someone needs to seriously teach them how to properly handle food. Either wash or change your gloves before making food... I didn't think it was that hard. (The design is they get to hide behind that tall counter so clearly no one sees what they're really doing) Not to mention today my sandwich that I always get (the slammer) didn't taste as good, I'm pretty sure the special mustard wasn't added and was missing onions. I also went on a whim and try the Mac and cheese. Not only is it not good but I saw them microwaving it , you can see my cooked cup for further proof. They shouldn't even have it offered as a side dish. I don't know man. I'm annoyed and disappointed with the whole experience, but most importantly they need to seriously get their cleanliness in order.

We picked up a couple of sandwiches to-go. The quality of the ingredients was remarkably fresh and the establishment was run very cleanly and efficiently. We ordered the rotating special - Horsing around and I can attest that it was amazing!! We will be back soon!!

I especially like the tuna salad sandwich and the pastrami sandwich. Both are classic choices, but they're done with care and great flavor. The value here is also hard to beat.

Anyways, I went here on a Saturday around 11:30am over the weekend and there was no wait! I assumed there would be a wait for lunch rush, but I'm glad I went early to avoid it. At this restaurant, they have sell items from BOTH Oakmont Sandwiches AND also Brew Bytes Cafe! I loved how it was basically like a 2 in 1 type of business inside here. You can order from BOTH sides of the menu at once! From the Oakmont Sandwiches side, loved all the sandwiches and drinks I tried. The items we ordered from that side was the Fresh Strawberry Lemonade, Loaded Burrito, Turkey Twist, and Hot Shot. When I was ordering the sandwich, I found out they allow you to customize each sandwich when putting in your order and choose what bread you want too, which I thought was good. It was also cool how the Loaded Burrito was in a spinach wrap and it reminded me of a breakfast burrito; it really was loaded inside! My favorite sandwich I got was the Turkey Twist. It was a simple sandwich which is something I enjoyed. I'd recommend this place! All of the sandwiches tasted good and I love how there's a cafe called Brew Bytes Cafe inside this building. You can order from both menus at the same time, so that made it easy for me to get my meal and a coffee at the same time.

I ordered the Godfather, which is supposed to be their specialty, and it was very disappointing. The meats seemed old, extremely fatty, and so chewy that I was unable to swallow them. Every meat on the sandwich was fatty, including the mortadella, which was unusually greasy and unlike anything I've seen before. The texture made the sandwich very unpleasant to eat. It also made me question whether the meats had been stored properly, though I can't say for sure. The bread was average and didn't seem very fresh either. Maybe going later in the day means the ingredients have been sitting too long, but either way, this sandwich was difficult to enjoy and ended up in the trash.

Hence why I stopped here one warm late afternoon despite having lots of food options in this downtown-y area. The Godfather ($15ish/5*) When I first try a deli I will usually try their Italian combo. It's a classic sub I love but honestly I find it hard to find an above average one. I'm not sure if the art of making one has been lost, but within the last decade or so, I strike out more than I get hits. Usually the meat to bread to produce ratio is off. Sometimes the meats are too salty/poor quality. Other times the sauce/dressing flavor is off. I am so stoked that I found a legit one here. They use prosciutto, mortadella and salami here, all my faves. I hate when a place uses American ham/cheese on an Italian sub. And all the meats are of quality, not too salty at all. Provolone was the cheese, textbook. I chose a sourdough roll and even though requires a good amount of teeth strength to bite off a piece and to chew, it was pretty damn satisfying. The interior is soft yet chewy. They definitely use a solid bread company. The bites were what I consider to be classic Italian sub flavors. No curve balls like pesto, red peppers or strong mustard. Just quality meats with great textures, fresh produce dressed in oil n' vinegar so it taste like a good salad. And the kicker that pleasantly surprised me were chunks of marinated artichoke hearts so this made you feel like biting into an antipasto platter just in sandwich form. So Damn Solid. Italian Sausage Sandwich ($15ish/4*). Even though solid I didn't love this as much as the cold sub. They ask what type of sausage mild or hot Italian. Chose hot, no surprise. They said this will take longer to make, like about 10 minutes. I chose a regular sweet French roll for this. Not as chewy as the sourdough roll, much softer but still has body. I liked the flavors of warm marinara with their unique sausage, quite classic once again. But the sausage they use is super thick like twice as thick as a common Italian sausage link. They do split it so it covers the bread but that sausage is one of the firmest textures I've ever had for a sausage. Sausage by nature because of the grind usually bites easily. Not here, I had to bite so hard that the meat couldn't stay in the bread. I think the casing was unusually tough for some reason. I eventually peeled it off. Decent flavors but problematic to eat cleanly. $35+ (after T&T) for 2 sandwiches seems pricey but really it is the new reality. 10 years ago this would have been about $20ish. Welcome to the new world order. Lol
