Stopped by here today for Mother's Day because I was craving donuts and I'm so glad I did! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, which made the whole experience even better. I ordered two sugar donuts, two strawberries and cream donuts and a cookies and cream donut, and honestly everything was delicious and fresh! The strawberries and cream were light and creamy, the sugar donuts were perfectly soft, but the cookies and cream absolutely FAVORITE!! it was seriously so good. Still luvin this donut shop. They make donuts... classic, traditional donuts. They got raised, cake, fritters, old fashion, and of course their signature French Kisses. Their version of a French Kiss is slightly bigger than bite size. They are custard filled raised doughnut bites covered in powdered sugar. Ohhh lala delicious. All their donuts are mighty tasty and sure purdee looking. The customer service is usually pretty awesome. They also sell coffee and have a cold case of drinks (milks, juices, sodas, water). You can even sit a spell and devour your donuts on the spot, since they have a couple of tables inside. read more

I love the donut shop. It's better than BJ Cinnamon. The donuts are always fresh and I love their coffee. That's the main thing as they make very good coffee. Richard has Coffee-mate there in the refrigerator next to the coffee. I don't use that powder junk. I'm really happy with the quality of the donuts because Richard is a king making quality donuts. Richard is the owner and I really appreciate him and Sebastian. All his people are very nice. See you at The Donut Shop. It has been there for 40 years.‍ read more

Love this donut shop. I first had donuts here about 4 years ago and they taste so good. I'm pretty picky when it comes to donuts. I've tried a few other places in Folsom and up the hill, and they do not come close to comparing with the donut shop. The donuts here at just different, they're fresh and every donut we have tired has been good. The French kiss donuts are a must try. And this shop is a must try, I have donut shops closer to me but I still make the drive to this one as they never disappoint. read more

The donut holes are sub pat. The donut holes lack the fluffy and crumbly sugar coating that make good glazed donut holes stand out and fun to eat. The maple old fashioned is good with good density and weight. The store is clean and cozy and a nice place to hang out for a quick coffee break. Excellent and efficient service. Donuts were moist and good but not memorable, EXCEPT for the Crème Brûlée doughnut! Oh, I was not expecting it to be so amazing. I'm not a big fan of crème brûlée, I think it's an overhyped dessert, but their custard was light and creamy, the glaze perfectly caramelized on top. Absolutely not. Maybe they do things differently in person but I am without a car this weekend and ordered through door dash... spent $30 on donuts I hand selected through the app and only got the teeny undersized cinnamon roll I spent an extra $0.90 on. First time last time. I'll stick with JR's... they don't even look appealing enough for me to try, so disappointing, hopefully my kids will eat em! read more

Poor and bad customer service received during visit. Staff named Carina/Karina very rude. My pointer finger accidentally touched the glass display in my attempt to tell her which donut I would like. In an unhappy and annoyed tone of voice told me to not touch the glass because she just cleaned it!!! # 1 very rude and poor customer service skills # 2 Change your minuscule sign saying "dont touch glass" to a banner so everyone can see it! # 3 I didnt touch the glass purposely... again the end of my pointer finger came close to the glass...its not like my whole palm is touching your glass display! Clearly this staff needs customer service training or maybe find a different job because she is clearly not happy working there. Sorry for the rant but so sad that staff like this person can negatively affect a business. I hope the manager and owner pay attention to reviews so that clients/customers wont stop going to your business because of bad service from a single employee. read more

On our way to Placerville and stumbled upon this cute donut shop. Clean and roomy dining space! Super helpful and friendly customer service. Delicious fresh warm donuts! It was better than apple hill kids loved the red twisted donuts We needed tea and a supervisor stepped up to offer his own tea bags for our hot water. We are grateful for the super kind gesture. The donuts and pastries always taste so freshly baked. This is my "go to"donut bakery. They are baked to perfection every time. I love the old fashioned donuts the best. However another favorite of others is the butterfly kisses. It tastes like a very light cream puff sprinkled with powdered sugar. Enjoy! read more

I am picky about my donuts but alas we saw this on our way to lunch. With that said, we came around noon on a Saturday. Suffice to say, selection was picked over but that is to be expected. I am not one for crazy fancy donuts. I just like your plain traditional glaze raised. If you can't perfect that, then that's a tell tale sign if what the rest will be like. I have tried some that were so bad, I threw the donut away. Surprisingly not so here. The outside didn't look great but the inside fluffiness was. It probably looked better earlier that morning. I ding a star because it seemed pricier than I am used to. I think it was nearly $6 for 3 donuts? But hey I cannot imagine how many donuts you have to sell just to stay afloat. Donut shops rarely have exceptions, and sadly this holds true here, also. -Mediocre donuts made from mixes brought in on a pallet (while we were leaving). -Service wasn't unfriendly, but not especially welcoming (not my type of people, regardless). -Cheesy "donut shop" interior. Best to avoid if you're wanting anything worth eating. read more

Dude! This place never ends with the consistent perfect tasting fat pills in the world! The Crème Brûlée donut will make you roll them eyes back when you get a taste! Service is always top notch. Everyone there is super nice and patient and willing to answer any questions you may have. Just come in and grab a donut and "French kiss" that's the true experience you need to have there. Went I to this place for the 1st time to pick up donuts for my crew. There were only 6 types of donuts and not an employee to be found. With the big cow bell on the door, I was sure someone would here me come in, but no!!! I see 3 workers in the back but guess they didn't see me. After waiting for minutes, I rang the cow bell but still no one came. I walked out and went down the street to Cinnabon Donuts where they are always cordial and give you something extra. The crème brûlée donut and the peanut butter, delicious! Their dough is light and airy. It's done well. Same for their cinnamon roll with light icing & cinnamon in the right amount. They don't trick you to come back by addicting you to sugar. You come back because it's made well! Soft and airy donuts with a kiss of sweetness. They are really good! First off, the donuts are amazing. We used to come here all the time. After two negative trips, we have sadly decided to stop supporting them. The first negative trip was when the owner( i believe) made some negative comments towards folsom PD during the 5 minutes I spent in the shop. I tried to give the gentleman and opportunity to correct himself or stop being negative ( I get it, it's a touchy subject right now) and that didn't happen. On my second visit, my 2 year old daughter and I came in and waited at the door for our turn. We were yelled at to go outside. We were wearing masks. The second employee let us stay to inside because it was cold, however it just destroyed the start to our day. You don't yell at children. read more

The guy yelled our order names out like a disgruntled prison cafeteria worker. He yelled out our order names 2x in the same exact way. I was with my young son mind you. Having a little boy with me did not suppress the employee's anger towards customers. He angrily told me that he was out of chocolate glazed. He made the dumbest looking angry face when I spent 30 seconds choosing an alternate donut. As if it was my fault that their self ordering system made that glazed chocolate selection available. When I self ordered, I selected two half-dozen orders. He put them all in a box meant for 1 dozen. I told him that i had ordered 2 half dozen orders because I was gifting them to different families. I selected 6 dozen, added them to the cart. Then I did a second 6 dozen orders, then added that to the cart. This dude proceeded to insinuate that I lacked the capability to understand user interfaces. He showed me the receipt and it said 12 donuts were ordered. I told him, I just need a container so ai could gift them. He then said, " I will not give you 2 boxes. " Times must be tough for this dude's branch. With his lack of common courtesy, I could see why they couldn't spare a measly paper box for 6 donuts. This dude must have been at least a supervisor and I did not get his name from his name tag. I think it said " Behenchood or Madarchod " but I didnt see it properly. I am attaching a photo of a celebrity which he looked like to this review. If you guys go there, avoid Mr. Chod, he sucks at service.

I went in and I went here a few times before never had a problem. I had Andrew assist me and was evidently having a bad day. I asked him for two chocolate bars, and I pointed to the two I preferred, for some reason that irritated him he took the two out I selected and tossed them on the top rack. I asked him why he would throw my food. He told me he wasn't interested in what I had to say legitimately this is truly what happened. I told him if he did not want to listen. I was going to leave a poor review on yelp and Google. Very sad to see someone behave this way. If you're having a bad day at work, don't make it someone else's problem. read more

Went here because I bought a groupon to bring donuts to work. No specialty donuts avail. I didnt see anything like that were in the pictures online. Really normally 17.80 for a dozen donuts??? SO we just got plain ol donuts but dont really feel like I received anything special . The regular donuts dont really hold up to the standards Ive had either, so likely wont be back read more
