    a grilled cheese sandwich

My daughter and I wanted a quick place for a sandwich and the downtown deli fit the bill! We both agreed to split a large drama queen sandwich and we were both impressed. The chicken cutlet with the pesto mayonnaise and focaccia was scrumptious! We both agreed that it was a great sandwich. We will return again to try another delicacy.

A deli is a deli, right? Wrong! This place has a nice variety of sandwiches and they all sound fantastic. I was just about to go for the classic Italian when I spotted they are grilled pastrami and corn beef with provolone. It did not disappoint, it was absolutely delicious. It's also a great little place to eat with an old school decor and reasonable prices. How do I know that it was a great sandwich? I was still thinking about it hours later. I don't get a Seneca Falls often but when I do I will definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch after going to the "it's a wonderful life" museum. My Reuben was fantastic! And I enjoyed the "it's a wonderful life" theme.

Tuna sub...I clearly took a bite. It's very big for a half!

The customer service was second to none. The girl waiting on me made my sandwich with lots of love and it showed in the first bite. I came in super close to closing and I ate inside. I didn't feel rushed. They have a great selection of chips and lots of sandwiches and toppings. They also have ice cream...I didn't have any but I did splurge on a caramel apple cookie. Yum. I had a bottle of water, half a tuna sub and a bag of chips for $10.

We found the Elf in the Oak on Yelp and once we saw the menu, we knew we had to give it a try. The Elf in the Oak is nestled on Rt 414. If you're not actively using a GPS, you may pass it by. It's not a large place by any means, but there's more than enough seating indoors and out. We went on a Friday morning, so there wasn't a wait and we received our food quickly. We both wanted 'the Spicy' and I have to admit, it's one of the best egg sandwiches I've ever had, which is high praise coming from someone who once worked at a popular bagel joint on Long Island. If we lived locally, we'd definitely go back, but I hope if you're looking for a quick casual brunch place to grab a bite, you consider visiting the Elf In The Oak.

Came here after backpacking, it was delicious…read more Food: the sandwiches were amazing and worth every penny. The turkey with apple and bacon was amazing. The schnitzel sandwich was also very good. The fries, at $8 as a side were not worth it, I would have rather ordered another sandwich than got two sides of fries. The chips were also almost flavorless, except that of 99% fresh oil. The kids grilled cheese was American cheese, and thus, imho, was not very good. One of my kids took a bite and didn't like it either. Ambiance: simple, nice view of the lake. Service: friendly staff. Tl;DR: I'll be back, but won't order sides or the grilled cheese.
