The interior is cute- the 80s or 90s Chinese theme. Service was alright. Skewers were a bit dry for my taste, or maybe I didn't order the right items; but the rest of the items were decent.

3rd visit in 2 weeks. I brought my wife and sister-in-law for afternoon eats. All the skewers were good. The cripsy pork belly stir fry was excellent. If you are sensitive to spice get it less spicy or not spicy. This dish packs some heat. Beers are smooth and compliment the skewers. These bbq places are becoming more common in Scarborough. There's a free dessert station with choice of mango pudding, yogurt, and shaved ice with jelly. Definitely check them out if you are looking for drinking place with some exceptional skewers and stir fry dishes. The service is good some have limited English so sharpen your Mandarin skills. Good thing the English menu is on tablet and there's pictures. I will definitely come back for their specials. 5% cash discount available just tell them you pay cash.

Ordered some skewers for late night snack. Got the beef, lamb, pork skewers. All in the hot spice level. They were more mild, than spicy, and flavour wise could use more spices as the flavour was mild as well. Beef was good, but the lamb was dry, not enough fat integrated in the skewer. The pork was whatever. Far more better skewer establishments in the area.

We went out tonight to the Dragon BBQ Bar in Markham They are located in Markham on Steeles between Birchmount and Kennedy We booked a reservation tonight for our group The spot had a niche casual vibe We got our own little room for our group which was cool We even had our own washroom there Lots of posters of Hong Kong Hollywood on the walls We ordered from a tablet for our food Their menu offers a variety of options with bbq meats, spicy dishes, and side dishes A variety of cool dishes that we ordered tonight We ordered several skewers from beef, beef brisket, pork belly, garlic chicken, chicken skin and squid Their spicy fried pork belly was really good The highlight for me was the sweet and sour pork cutlet It was super yummy We even out a beer tower which was super good They were very attentive with their service tonight Overall it was a great outing tonight and would definitely come back again

New Chinese BBQ Skewer spot in Markham. Great ambiance, okay food, okay service. We had no resos and it as a Friday night so our party of 6 tried to come earlier to snag a table. We still waited about half an hour for a seat. The interior is such a vibe and has great decor that makes you feel like you're in Asia. Beer towers are cheap here so definitely should get some if you're into drinking. Got a variety of food to share for the table: meat skewers, soup, cabbage, fried pork, clams, instant noodles, pickled chicken feet, and more. The food was good/ okay but nothing really stood out to me - tasted pretty standard for a Chinese BBQ spot. After grabbing our bill and on our way out is when we found out that they had free shaved ice for dessert. It was a bummer that the servers did not tell us this when we grabbed our bill - definitely something we would have enjoyed. Overall, think this spot is okay - check it out for yourself!

New north east China influenced BBQ restaurant. The environment is a fusionized atmosphere of club music blasting away with a street stall mood with an old school collection of yesteryears decor. The menu is via QR code. The food is meh. The seasonings are not there and the meat quality is definitely commercial grade. The service here is lacking even though you see plenty of servers walking by but they never stop by to respond to your requests. If you are in for a cheap beer with some grilled skewers this may be up your alley but if you are to look for a place to bring your foodie friends I would think twice.

First time visiting here with my friend and it was pretty good experience! I really liked their interior decoration that has retro HK-China vibe :) Food was decent and they had 1.5L beer $6.99 promotion, which I really liked (got a bit tippy with that haha) Service was pretty quick too. It was Monday evening and relatively quiet (I assume) compared to weekends

80s retro style cafe featuring skewers galore! They have a self serve dessert section as well. Their skewers and stirfry dishes are popular. If you come with a group of friends, definitely grab a litre of beer as well. We got to try : Lamb skewers Beef tenderloin Beef Brisket Chicken Skin Chicken Cartilage Pork Belly Pork Sausage Sweet Corn in Foil Box Garlic Clams Tuna Belly Stir Fried Crispy Pork Belly We love the crispy pork belly dish. It was super spicy and great for sharing! It was very flavourful. Our favourite skewers were the beef brisket and pork belly.

Retro 80s style Chinese bbq! They got everything. So many skewers to choose from it was hard to choose! And I liked that you could choose your spice level on some dishes!! The food came out fast and fresh. And you can have a beer tower as well which was cool

Enjoy amazing deals when you visit this restaurant Go to their IG page and show the poster to avail of either one of these deals 1. $3.99 lamb/beef skewers (6 sticks) 2. $6.99 1.5L beer (blonde/dark lager) Their '80s retro vibe and attentive customer service make this restaurant a perfect place to hang out with family or friends. Our favorites were the grilled pork belly, beef tendon, sour and spicy soup, and sausage and lamb skewers. Don't forget the free dessert on the table.

We saw this place a while ago while at the cat hotel in the same strip mall. We finally were able to return with enough time for lunch. Great ambiance,, very clean, competitive price and decent service. The meal is ordered on an iPad. At last the pictures look like the food delivered. The food was delivered promptly , but it was the end of lunch and there were only a few tables left. We ordered the crispy pork, a variety of skewers, celery and glass noodle and spicy cabbage . All were a great value, but we think the cabbage could have been a larger portion for the $. The Dragon beer was good, it paired with the skewers well. , the selection of alcohol was limited, but adequate, There was only one waitress on duty and she was very busy, we ordered on the iPad, she was available for questions. Good service overall. We've been looking for a decent place for after movies or a late meal and this fits. We will be coming again. I would recommend this place. It a good deal.

I was trying to find different skewer places and thought we'd give this a try. I would recommend coming with more than two people, as the portions of other foods are large. We didn't order much, but it was good, and they had dessert available on the other side (closer to the cashier) and drinks to get yourself from the refrigerator up front. The disadvantage is that they mainly speak Mandarin, which we do not speak, but the menu was on the phone, so ordering was easier. The atmosphere, I can't say, as we went in the afternoon so it wasn't loud (unsure how it is at night). Overall, I will come back as there are other foods I'd like to try, but the portions are too big.

The space is a bit tight and a little noisy. The food is a mix of Vietnamese tapas and classic dishes. I got the milk bread and spring rolls to start. The milk bread came with this durian butter which was interesting... the bread was nothing more than a dinner roll. I love the spring rolls and perfect starter for sharing. I had the pho and it was good. The broth is nice and well seasoned, though not as fragrant as others I have had. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were a hit, the potatoes were so creamy. The chicken rice was average, probably wouldn't order again. The menu is extensive and so much I want to try next time. Sadly the service sucked, they were so slow in giving us menu, water, taking orders. No one checked up on us, and had to flag for the bill. I would come back once more to try their other dishes.

Both had long lineups around lunchtime, but I liked that this spot offers the option to pair your meats with either noodles or rice. The duck was meaty and plump, with beautifully glistening skin. The roasted pork was perfectly seasoned, featuring that addictively crisp, crackly skin. The BBQ pork was equally impressive, tender and juicy with a glossy, caramelized exterior that balanced sweet and savory flavors really well. None of the meats felt overly fatty or heavy, and when paired with steamed cabbage and your choice of noodles or rice, it made for a really satisfying meal. The vermicelli noodles were thick and chewy, and they come with a side of broth in addition to the soups. The soup itself was light with a pleasant herbal note. The noodle broth, however, had great chicken flavor but was slightly too salty for my taste, so I ended up diluting it a bit to fully enjoy it.

There has been a long debate as to left or right BBQ shop to reign supreme. I find the flavourings of HKS to suite my taste buds more. Not to say Excellent is bad but just not what I was brought up with. To each their own. The combo prices have slowly crept up over the years from the 5.99 two meal combo to the current 9.99 price point I enjoy the BBQ pork and duck as the pork has a nice meat texture with crisp skin along with the duck that is meaty and not too fatty with a nice seasoning to infuse through the meat while roasting. The shop is in a food court and if you are looking for a romantic meal for 2... this may not be your ideal destination. If you are looking for more of a HK hustle and bustle with a side attitude if you take too long to go with your meal, this is the place for you. Do prepared for a long queue to get your meal during the prime weekend times that may be up to 40+ minutes to get your meal
