The hot dogs are Nathan's brand and come with many different toppings. I got the Frito chili hot dog with adobe mud custard. I have now found the best place to eat in all of Alamogordo.

Also, there's generally a crowd sitting outside, enjoying their sweet treat of choice. Luckily the weather tends to cool down and there's a breeze in the evening to make this super enjoyable. And it's not your thing they conveniently have a drive-through also. I love the specials that they offer and I always forget that there's hot dogs and other food options. We got a kiwi berry sundae. The custard is great and the sundae was simple with fresh kiwis and strawberries and it was topped with cream. It was delicious. We also got a dirty soda. The special sprite is like Sonic's ocean water...only better. Add vanilla and blueberries to the sprite and coconut. There were so many blueberries and they came through the straw making it even more fun to drink. It was refreshing and delicious. The service was great and they were super quick. We loved our experience here. It was a great dessert stop.

I opted for the pumpkin coffee and it was ok, the brew was quite strong so I couldn't really taste the pumpkin, my daughter's London Fog tea was refreshing and good. We also ordered a Ham and Swiss Croissant and a Reuben Panini, they come with some pickle slices and chips on the side. My daughter enjoyed her Reuben but I found my Ham and Swiss Croissant lacking flavor. It was very thin and lacking both ham and cheese. I wouldn't order the sandwiches again, not worth the price. The girl that took our order seemed tired or like she just wanted her shift to end, she wasn't rude just inattentive. This coffee shop is located on a great spot and the inside is very spacious and has lots of small tables and chairs but it's not very cozy. They do have a sofa seating area on one of the corners. This place has lots of potential but right now it just doesn't have much ambiance, the atmosphere feels very clinical to me and my daughter agreed. I'm sure there's people that don't really care about that, they just want some coffee and well, if that's the case, this is a place that can fulfill that need.

The manager incorrectly stated that service dogs must wear a vest to be recognized as service animals and demanded that we provide a "service animal certificate." We were then told that such certificates were not valid and that service animals must be registered in New Mexico before being allowed into the restaurant. None of these statements are consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service dogs are not required to wear vests, carry certificates, or be registered with any state in order to access public accommodations. It is deeply concerning that a manager responsible for serving the public appears to have such a poor understanding of federal disability law. The experience was embarrassing, discriminatory, and completely unnecessary. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States with my service dogs and have never been treated this way. I strongly encourage management to educate staff on ADA requirements before another customer is subjected to the same treatment. Until then, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone who relies on a service animal.

Out of eight machines, two were down. We walked in and received no greeting from two inattentive girls working there who were absorbed more with their cell phones than customer service! No asking, " have you been here before? Let me tell you how it works...." The chocolate machine stopped working halfway through filling a cup, while I was filling a cup with peanut butter, intending to fill up the rest with chocolate. When I asked the girl who was at the cashier area what was wrong, she just shrugged her shoulders. I looked over at the other girl who was sitting at a table playing with HER cell phone and asked her if she knew what the problem was. She sauntered over and pushed a few buttons then went around in back to where the equipment was. After about 10 min of standing around waiting with the yogurt slowly melting in our cups ( the only other reviewer here stated it was runny yogurt-and it IS!) the girl comes out to tell us it might take five minutes or so then it should work. We asked her to place our half filled cups in their freezer while we waited, which she did. 20 minutes later we were told it would probably take another 30 minutes. We asked to have our yogurt retrieved from the freezer. Since the chocolate and vanilla machines were combined, NOW the vanilla machine wouldn't work either so my brother-in-Law decided his half filled chocolate cup was all he wanted. I filled up mine and my sister's with all peanut butter. NOT what we intended. The cost was $13.20!!! the cashier asked if there would be anything else, I told her no, except lids for the cups. She rang it up, we paid and I waited for the lids. She looked at me sorta funny while I stood there so I asked, "the lids?" She said, "oh, we don't have any lids." NO LIDS at a frozen yogurt shop? OMG, you've got to be joking! "No, but I can place some Saran Wrap on them." So that's what we did. Placed them in our little cooler and drove the 15 min home. Now, I will say, I am here visiting from California where we have a frozen yogurt shop on almost every corner so I freely admit I am spoiled by the sheer number of choices we have available. However, owners beware of who you have watching your business because they are rude and couldn't give a damn about being pleasant to customers or apologizing to customers. These appeared to be high school age girls. Seriously folks, don't bother with this place; you'll just be disappointed. I hear there is a place called Caliche's Frozen Custard that is rated 4 1/2 stars which we will try. I wish I could have given this place 0 stars. What a waste of $$$!

The froyo tended to be a bit more on the runny side, but I'm chalking that up to New Mexico heat. The decor inside is really nice, and they have a kids table and chairs. Overall, I'd go again.
