Randomly found this restaurant while looking for a place to eat brunch on our way to the airport from Banff. This place didn't disappoint! The food was delicious and the service was great! The music and ambiance were also on point! What a great experience to cap off our short trip!

This is the second time in a row my sister and I stopped by here for dinner. The food here is outstanding! The portions were generous, and our choices were tasty. The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive. The atmosphere was chill and laid back vibe. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Came here for dinner on Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. The staff were super friendly and took the time to explain the specials to us. The lobster roll (not pictured since I devoured it once it arrived) was the best I've ever had. The fries were also very nicely seasoned and crispy. They had a special where you get 10% off if you order 12 or more oysters - which were very succulent. The crab was also buttery soft. Would definitely come back again!

We enjoyed our time dining at the drunken Lobster Oyster Bar. The gentleman are the representative of the business and gave us the support we needed even though we stayed late pass their closing time.

Finally got to try the new and only seafood location in Canmore and I was not disappointed. The owner, Jaime gave me all the information on the Seafood market he is opening next week which will feature sushi grade sashimi products in salmon, tuna, etc alongwith their mussels oysters, scallops that they offer now. The market will be open ftom 10am to 2pm.Eric the bartender was a great conversationalist and made great recommendations like the lobster roll which was delicious. I asked for a side salad which had a delicious dressing. I could eat it every day. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and makes you feel at ease right away. The bar seating is lots of fun as Eric makes it really interesting. I was having such a good time I forgot to take pictures of the lobster roll and salad. Eric informed me they were having live entertainment tonight. However, I got a picture of the Bloomsday Breeze drink which was filled with flavourful mint and wine YUM!!!! Saw they had Schreech and since I haven't had any since my holidays in my teens...needless to say this one was smooth and delicious. So glad they have opened in Canmore. Be sure to take them in you won't be disappointed.

Mediocre service and food. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone - there are many better places to eat in Canmore.

To be honest, when we got out of the car and I saw that the restaurant was located inside a hotel,…read moreI didn't think it would be a great meal. Boy, was I sooo wrong! This was hands down, my favorite meal of my trip. The staff was welcoming off the bat. We had a large party but was seated relatively quick. We started off our meal with the Chef's Signature Mussels and Pulled Pork Poutine. I liked the gravy in the poutine. The mussels were bathed in a sauce. Do dip your bread in it and go wild! My son normally doesn't like seafood but he couldn't stop eating the mussels. They have weekly specials on their website. Definitely check it out before you make a visit over! We went on Thursday and it was pasta night specials for $20. We tried the Clam Linguine, Carbonara, and Linguini Bolognese. The Clam Linguine was the lightest of the pastas. There was a good amount of clams. The Carbonara was extremely rich and probably the least favorite of the three. I thoroughly enjoyed the Linguini Bolognese. The pasta was cooked al dente and the flavors were so deep and comforting. The Braised Alberta Pork Ribs in a Root Beer Glaze was tasty too. You can really taste the root beer flavor so if that's not your thing, you should skip this dish. My son kept raving about this meal for the rest of our trip! I can't wait to come back to see more of Canada and of course to have another delicious meal here.

Hands down the best food in Canmore. Honestly, I don't know how this place isn't rated #1. Everything is executed incredibly well: flavorful food, nice plating, great ambiance, and good service. I had the poutine (the best I've had), the pulled pork burger, the steak, plus the tiramisu, cheesecake, and crème brûlée. Everything was spectacular. My only suggestion? Add dumplings to the menu, because I know you'd do them exceptionally well. Every time I was here, it felt like the place to be. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

We started with two small plates and a vegetable: Salmon Crudo, Pickled Marinated Fried Chicken and the Cabbage. Wow. Wow. Wow. We decided to eat each one entirely before moving to the next one. Each one had such unique flavors, we wanted to focus on them and enjoy without confusing our taste buds. I highly recommend doing this! Then we ordered the Lamb dish. Our menu said it was going to be a curry dish, but when it arrived it was a Mediterranean dish. It was honestly dreamy! But we were confused because I guess we had a copy of the old menu. Nonetheless, I basically licked the plate! Lastly we ordered the chocolate salted caramel budino (pudding) for dessert. It was so luscious and went perfectly with our end of dinner hot drinks of tea and cappuccino. The serviced matched the food: also fantastic. Super professional and friendly waitress (I forgot to ask her name) she was so personal and we enjoyed talking to her. They comp'd our lamb because of the menu mixup which was so nice! If you're a foodie who enjoys good service, definitely try this place!

May 12, 2026. Everything about the Maple leaf was…read moreoutstanding! My wife enjoyed a nice sparkling Prosecco to kick off the evening with our nice-sized Prince Edward Island oysters. We then shared a Waldorf salad, which was refreshing and nice. Then we both selected red wine varietals grown in Canada. I had a Cabernet/Merlot blend which was super great. Would've never guessed it was from Canada. Next, My wife enjoyed a Pinot Noir that was light and complimented our entrée perfectly. Our entrée was the fillet and prawns served over a garlic mashed potato. This is an absolutely extraordinary dish. We shared it and it was just enough for two people. It is a full meal for one person. The filet temperature preparation was perfect. The prawns were extraordinary, and the garlic mashed potato made you curl your toes! Then we closed the evening with the melted chocolate soufflé, which was divine. Here's the one thing that they missed and to me it's an important miss. They use an automated system for taking reservations. And it kept asking for my name to which I said "Chris" and the automated system kept asking me what's your name!? So it asked hey fourth time and in my frustration I got playful and I said "Big Daddy." And it happily received my name and took my reservation. And then asked if there was any special occasion and I said yes my wife and I are celebrating our anniversary. I get that it may not seem normal to say "Big Daddy party for two". So I'll kind of let that pass because neither front door or upstairs Host was willing to ask. But what I don't like that was missed was our anniversary wasn't acknowledged. I was a server for years, and every host gave the server some type of chit or note to let them know if there is a special occasion. We specifically selected a higher end restaurant for anniversary. So somewhere in there, even if you weren't brave enough to say "Big Daddy for two." Someone still should've checked if you were celebrating any special occasion to which we were. Our anniversary. Our server was fabulous. She was super kind helpful and shared about her experience being in Banff. She made us feel great. My overall experience, the Mapleleaf is a great restaurant. But I'm scoring you an A- because you missed our anniversary. and that's why we chose you. So if you're going to use AI, you can't miss special occasions. Chris & Trisha from Long Beach, CA
