Got pork and chive and shrimp dumpling. Perfect harmony of the ingredients. Cannot wait to try more items from here!

Pork+Leek+Shrimp dumpling

The Dumpling Shop is a perfect name for this place: a hole-in-the-wall spot that mainly sells frozen dumplings, it is non-descript, straightforward, almost miss-able. But what a shame to miss it, because they offer what I believe are the best frozen dumplings in the city. Sure it's frozen, and yes the place is takeout only, and ok the dumpling skin/coating may be a bit thicker than I'd like. But the dumplings themselves pack quite the flavour. I've been here a couple of times now, and gotten the xialongbao (pork bun with soup) and pork+leek+shrimp dumpling, and both were easily on par with the best "fresh" dumplings out there in terms of the tastiness and amount of protein in each dumpling. And priced at $8/20pcs and $13/30pcs respectively, you definitely get excellent value for your money. Will definitely be back to try their other stuff!

There are grocery store frozen dumplings and there are specialty store frozen dumplings. I admit I am a die hard grocery store dumplings lover. Who doesn't love $6 for 30 dumplings? But they have limits, such as wrapping not thin enough, the meat a bit loose. But all is good when it is 20 cents each. In coming the needs for good dumplings - the need to impress someone. I shopped and shopped 5, 6, 7 specialty stores, even buying from dumplings restaurants. And I decided The Dumplings Shop has the best quality and best bang for the buck dumplings. The type that I would pay 50 cents each. The dumplings here are big, filled with meat. Good meat to leek ratio. 6 dumplings can be a lunch. Wrapping is not as thin as fresh dumplings from a sit down dumplings place, but hey these are frozen stuffs, so it is a compromise between thin wrapping and convenience.

Pork and leek dumplings - steamed instead of boiled.

Tried their Pork and Leek dumplings, and xiao long bao, and both were great. The lady was very nice and she will help you select and even recommend cooking methods. Will I go back ?? definitely... Few tips: Cash Only and For Carryout only.

I love their dumplings!!! They are made in house (downstairs) and everything neatly stored in their freezers. It just takes 7 mins to steam my fav veggie dumplings (prob. 9 mins for the meat ones) and the price was amazing. Better than eating instant noodles right? Last time I bought about 20 shanghai veggie dumplings and two lotus leaf sticky rice for only about $10. Lots of other varieties from buns, dumplings, pancakes, etc. The shop is definitely a hidden gem. I'm happy this is in North York and not somewhere I'd have to trek over. There is also an english menu but a lot of the other things are posted in Chinese. Too lazy to read lol. Will be coming here forever!

It was a large pitcher and we were able to get a couple drinks each out of it. For food, we ordered their Grabong "Squash Fritters" which were delicious. It was a huge appetizer and the sauce was great to dip the crispy fritters in. For our main, we got Shrimp Pad Thai and Tofu & Veggies Pad See Ew. Both were equally just as good. All the flavors were great and nothing was over seasoned; it was all just perfect. The bartenders were really friendly and personal. We had such a great experience and would love to come back next time we're in town!

This was first on our list, located in the Scotiabank Tower on Adelaide. We got a nice corner table, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting, not too loud but not library-like either. The music, mostly UK fare like their cuisine, played an acceptable volume that my friends and I didn't have to raise our voices. We were seated very promptly, and our server took care to attend to my friend's allergy. She even asked to change my friend's cutlery when another server brought the wrong salad. My appetizer was a hot-smoked salmon pâté, which was ok by itself, but eaten with the pickles gave it that taste I wouldn't forget. I chose for my main the Petit Roast Dinner; the cut was excellent, full of flavour and juicy to boot. The gravy for said cut just brought the roast to another level. The sides were delicious as well, especially the crispiness of the potatoes. A clean plate was the end result! Finally to finish the meal, I chose the chocolate banoffee cheesecake - I never pass on any cheesecake when it's offered. And it didn't disappoint! The banana brûlée was an interesting touch, while having toffee sauce drizzled on the cheesecake was a first (and not definitely last) for me! All in all, it was a nice introduction to The Rabbit Hole, and I can't wait to go down there again!

We went for a special occasion to The Rabbit Hole. I probably would've more likely given a 3.5. But…read moresince you don't have an ability to give a .5, I actually pushed it forward to a four star. It's located in the Scotiiabank Plaza at King and Bay. Entrance is closest to the Adelaide side of that building. You enter on the ground floor level, but then you have to walk up some stairs to actually get to the restaurant if you see the place with the kegs on the side of the stairs, you're in the right spot! You'll have to go buy those kegs later if you want to use the bathrooms cause that's where they are. Once you get upstairs, it's a quite nice looking pub area ( maybe little bit more higher end than some pubs ). We specifically went there because in December 2025 they had a special where they were doing a beef Wellington every day until it sold out. The price tag was a bit steeper at $60, although I have to say it was pretty good. Do I think it was worth the $60, well? I think the jury still out on that one. The service was very nice. The server came and checked on us periodically, and I did let them know that it was a special birthday for my partner, and so they actually arranged a nice to surprise and brought a special dessert out after the main meal. It was nice to get something sweet to finish the meal (comp'd). The Wellington was very good. It was probably just a little overcooked for me. I prefer mine more like medium rare and it was probably more like medium well done. I might've liked it better if it had not been so well done. However, it was still pretty good and a very nice flavor and it came with mashed potatoes and a really lovely gravy and some nice roasted vegetables. Atmosphere is pretty lively, I would say that there's not a lot of privacy because the tables are very close together. That was kind of a so-so thing in my book, but not a big deal. It is a pub after all. Also, that's what you can expect in those types of establishments. So it was quite enjoyable, it was also my first time there. Not sure I'd run back there although I generally do like O&B restaurants. It's just there are others of theirs that I prefer far more than this one. Close to all the transit steps away from King subway station.

You can imagine that I wasn't at my best, especially given the brutal winter weather that day. But wow, the staff were great. They took pity on me, despite my disheveled state, and sat me as requested in a quiet corner away from speakers, TVs, bright lights. Bliss. And they let me order steak the way I like it, with some sliced raw red onions and tomato on the side. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed that cold and exhausting day, and I am so thankful.

The mashed potatoes and broccoli were also individually tasty, I almost wish I received more of the mashed potatoes specifically. To wash down the entree I ordered a beer (Something like "Wizards Wolf Pale Ale") and it was delicious. It wasn't too hoppy, and tasted light and refreshing. The complimentary bread that came out tasted like a freshly baked sour dough that paired with some whipped butter.

Very helpful and pleasant people. I wanted something small, so opted for their pork tacos. You get 3 small pork tacos for $14.75, which is pretty good in terms of value. They were surprisingly meaty, and tasted decent. They would probably make a good sharing item for the table as they were quite salty. Now, if this were a taqueria, I would not be impressed with the tacos. So if you are expecting "proper" tacos, don't order them. Go to a taqueria, lol. But this is a corporate chain pub in a city, whose main goal is to make a large swathe of people happy. So within this context, I think they did a good job. The first course was Labneh with bread, hummus, & beef tartare. Second course was Lamb pide & pear salad. Third course was grilled branzino, middle eastern fried chicken, black truffle rice, and thrice cooked fries. Then there was dessert which was chocolate mousse cake & baklava. Because of my many food allergies the main server for our table was very attentive & specific in asking me what I wanted as modifications. For example I got a wagyu beef pide instead of the lamb. Every dish was really delicious, presented well & quite filling. I couldn't eat all of the food. Though I tried almost everything. Service: The pacing of the dishes was quite masterful. They really paid attention to when the food was going to come out. As I mentioned above the main server was very attentive to my food allergies. I really appreciated that as some restaurants aren't as attentive. The food was served family style so everyone could take what they wanted from the serving dishes. The dishes were served in little bowls along the tables with each bowl serving about 4 people. We had asked for one long table so it was a little snug. But we made it work. Ambiance: For dinner the lighting of the space is really dim. LOL. I would have appreciated just a little bit more light. The restaurant is in an old building so to use the washroom you had to go down two flights of stairs. The dining area is small also. But it's a pretty space. As mentioned above we asked for one long table to seat 15 people. I was expecting square tables but it was a bunch of small round tables pushed together. So the tables were really crowded with food from all the dishes. But the servers made sure to take empty serving dishes away as soon as possible. The music was a little loud for me so I had to yell to be heard. The place was packed though. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food, the service & atmosphere. The restaurant is close to Roy Thompson Hall & the other theatres nearby so it's a convenient location as well. It's too bad this place is only open for dinner. I would have loved to see how they would operate a lunch time service. In any case, Byblos was amazing. I would come back here again to try other dishes! Note: Some of my pics of the main dishes didn't turn out so it's mostly desserts that are pictures

I grabbed a seat at the bar, ordered a drink, and listened to a podcast to wind down. It was exactly what I needed. The bartender was witty, he advised everyone near us at the bar to whip out our phones, because he was about to put on a show. Check out the video I added! Something about the presentation and how you had to be there for it. I don't know about that. I ordered the Atlantic salt cod (fried cod balls) and while they were super good, the presentation left me thinking, "I could have totally eaten this in my giant robe in bed."
