Do not hire. Shorted me half the staff I signed up for, causing a lot of stress. Refused to refund.

The rooms are very clean, and for being downtown, very quiet. Convenient location with many things close by including being connected to the convention center. There are many options when it comes to dining within the hotel including restaurants and l a coffee shop. We used valet for parking which is $40 for overnight and includes coming and going as much as needed. There is an attached garage option as well for self parking. Will definitely be back for future stays in Dallas!

An Exceptional Experience Thanks to Justin Carpenter I…read morecannot say enough wonderful things about Justin Carpenter, Loyalty Ambassador at the Omni Hotel in Dallas. His kindness, compassion, and genuine care turned an incredibly difficult week into an experience I will never forget. On Saturday night, my next-door neighbor's apartment caught fire, and while I am incredibly grateful that no one was injured or lost their life, I have been displaced from my home until I can move into my new unit. The experience has been stressful, emotional, exhausting, and overwhelming. On Monday afternoon, I went to the Omni hoping I could check into my room early so I could rest for a moment before getting ready for work. As I approached the front desk, Justin immediately stood out. He was warm, welcoming, and radiated such positive energy. I briefly explained what had happened and mentioned that the card on file would be through my apartment complex. Justin looked at me and genuinely expressed how sorry he was for everything I was going through. Then he said something I will never forget: "I'm going to take amazing care of you." And he truly did. Justin asked if there was anything specific I would enjoy or would make my stay more comfortable. I told him that I would love a quiet room with a bathtub if possible, because after work I just wanted to come back, lie down, and soak for a while. Not only did Justin upgrade my room, but he found me an absolutely beautiful room with an amazing bathtub--and he did it all at no additional charge. When I returned from work that evening, I discovered that Justin had left the sweetest handwritten card along with some treats and sparkling water. That small, incredibly thoughtful gesture meant more to me than he probably realized. At a time when I was feeling exhausted and emotionally drained, someone had taken the time to see me, listen to me, and make sure I felt cared for. Justin went far beyond what was expected of him. He didn't simply provide exceptional hotel service--he showed genuine compassion and humanity when I really needed it. I am forever grateful to Justin for the kindness he showed me during such a challenging time. The Omni is incredibly fortunate to have someone like him representing the hotel. Justin is an absolute gem, and his warmth, empathy, and attention to detail are exactly what exceptional hospitality should look like. Thank you, Justin, for taking such amazing care of me. I will never forget your kindness. You truly made a difficult situation a little easier.

We stayed here recently for a "staycation" at it was just ok. Our check-in experience was good. I…read morewaited about 15 min in the main line, but I forgot I have elite status through Marriott, so my wait could have been shorter. Carlos was friendly and upgraded our room after discussing we were staying there for our anniversary. Very unexpected and very kind. Our room was on the 8th floor overlooking the atrium. The room was huge, with a living room, separate bedroom, and a gigantic closet. There were a lot of noises in the room (popping and drill noises). We were close to the elevator, so not sure if it was that. Part of the hotel is currently in the renovation process, so it could have been that too. The drill noises stopped, but the popping noises didn't really seem to go away overnight. There was also a bright green light (smoke detector?) that flashed every 12 seconds or so. The rugs in the room were coming up at the edges so you had to be careful where you were walking. We had several near misses and one fall. The main issues we had were with dining. We started at the outdoor pool and ordered a few drinks. My parents arrived after us and ordered some drinks as well. Since we had the same last name, the bartender didn't ask for their room, they just went off of the last name and put everything on mine. A manager came by and got it situated fairly quick. We wanted to try the riverwalk cantina for dinner Saturday night. They didn't take reservations so we showed up around 5. They were buffet only, even though the menu scanned from the QR code in our room and on the Gaylord app showed a full menu. While we enjoy Mexican food, paying $110 for 3 buffets seemed too much, so we went to the Texan Station. The amount of time we spent waiting for the bills to be corrected really put a damper on what should have been an stress-free anniversary celebration "staycation". It definitely doesn't make us want to come back for a staycation anytime soon.

My oh my this place is something else…read more.. My husband had a work conference here at the Gaylord Resort and Convention Center so we packed our bags and my toddler and I came too. I was looking into pictures of this place and was so confused as to what was the resort and what wasn't. There's no way all these pictures that look like different places can be all in one place... well my friends... it is. As we pulled up, I realized just how big this place is and I got really excited to go inside and finally figure out what's what. This place is gorgeous. Part of it looks like a lodge, part of it looks like a mall, part of it looks like a convention center... because it is, part of it looks like a hotel, part of it looks like the riverwalk, etc... and yet it all blends together seamlessly. There are 4 main restaurants, at least 2 bars, two coffee shops, one is also a marketplace, shops that sells clothes, a kids store, an arcade, a spa, a gym, a FedEx business center, an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, another restaurant down the street that is also part of the resort, a water park down the street that is part of the resort... I'm FOR SURE forgetting something... or multiple somethings. There's no way to do it all in a week while also attending a conference. So we didn't hit up everything. It's okay though, my toddler mostly wanted to just walk around. Nonstop. There's plenty to see by doing that. There's a scavenger hunt that you can do, a virtual animal safari, model trains that we stopped to watch multiple times, a mini Build-A-Bear Workshop right in the middle of things... I'm telling you, this place has it all. We arrived on a Monday, left on a Friday, and didn't have enough time to do and see everything. We ate at 3 of the 4 main restaurants. We tried to eat at the Riverwalk Cantina - and I was admittedly most excited about that one. However, the first two nights they were having a buffet. We wanted to order from the menu. We said we'd come back. The third night my husband had a business meeting at the steakhouse so that was a no go. The fourth night we went down there to eat... they were closed. Getting ready for a private event. *sad face* We left the next day and never got the chance to try it out. Things are a bit pricey, but you pay a convenience fee, and the fact that they literally had everything we needed in one place without leaving the resort was just that... convenient. So I wasn't complaining, especially with a two-year-old in tow. Even the option to have food delivered to your room was great since I could order breakfast to be delivered before my kiddo woke up for the day. The room was nice. It was pretty modern and spacious. We were on the first floor so it was also convenient. We didn't have a fancy view. It was a side parking lot, but the fact that it was part of a block of rooms reserved for the conference meant that we weren't expecting a room with a view or anything. I slept comfortably, but brought my own pillow which I believe was a big part of my comfort. My husband said the typical hotel bed was too hard. It wasn't as enjoyable of a sleeping situation for him. I could've stayed longer and been just fine lol. Anyways, I know this review is very long and I'll cut it off here, but I will say that there are so many more things I could say, but you just have to experience this place for yourself. I will review the restaurants we tried separately. Texan Station Sports Bar & Grill Zeppole Old Hickory Steakhouse
