They were very crowded, but the wait was short. We were quickly seated, and the service was great. The menu was extensive and there was something for everyone. Their portions were very large for the amazing price. It was refreshing to have real homemade corned beef hash. The hash browns were really well done. Overall everything was great. There are so many amazing brunch places in Denver, but for those of us who live in the suburbs of Centennial/Highlands Ranch and don't feel like driving 30 minutes on Sunday morning to get some pancakes, or who don't feel like waiting an hour and a half at Snooze, The Egg is a great solution! :) As far as ambience, it's small and feels like you're walking into someone's dining room, but the service is friendly and quick, and the food is delicious and well-priced. I always get the two egg breakfast for $6.50 (two eggs, hash browns, and either toast, French toast, pancakes, or biscuits & gravy). Excellent breakfast place. I had the California skillet which was outstanding. It's unique to have chicken in a breakfast skillet dish, but it really was good and obviously healthier than say bacon or sausage. They do not have egg substitute but can do egg whites. The menu has a great variety. Excellent service. Wide variety on the kids and senior menu. The only two things that they can do to improve in my opinion are: 1. Serve egg substitute for an up charge 2. Have a specials menu with interesting dishes that changes occasionally to create some excitement and variety. Kinda disappointed...the all-meat omelette seemed like it was first scrambled then shaped & (over) cooked a bit more. Hash browns were ok, but I prefer mine crispy. The biscuits and gravy...bland. This spot is so good, ever since the egg and I dipped on my life I've been struggling to find a breakfast spot that is actually good unlike the major big corporate ones, and not does this place hit the spot. I finally got by to try the egg after seeing it on yelp. I was excited for someplace new especially not a chain. The place is sparsely decorated and small but cute. I was greeted by Tim who is a very nice server. They had a whole section for eggs Benedict so I thought I would try the classic. When it arrived at my table it was clear that they're using canned hollandaise. You would think if they had a whole section for eggs Benedict that they would make their own? Nobody puts that much cornstarch in their sauce. Unfortunately two bites was all I could swallow. I didn't want them to feel bad so I was tempted to leave the money on the table and go. Tim came by and suggested I order something different. I settled on two over easy eggs and wheat toast. That was perfect. I really was hoping that this was going to be one of my new breakfast stops but unfortunately I don't think it will be. read more

I'm not even a fan of breakfast foods but I love The Egg! Their costumer service has yet to be matched! Every time I come in I get seated very quickly, even in a full house. The staff is always very friendly and quick and I always have multiple people checking on the table to make sure everything is up to parr. The service was friendly and the atmosphere comfortable, but the food was not worth the price. My kid ordered pancakes with bacon. One pancake was cooked perfectly and the other was burnt. How did they mess that up? I ordered hash browns with my omelet. The omelet was tasty, but the potatoes were overcooked, dry and hard. I tempted fate and ordered a cup of coffee, only to regret my decision. It tasted foul, similar to the cheap pre-ground coffee that comes in a large can at the grocery store. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the good service, but no stars for the food. I will not be returning. read more

Every time I've been there the whole staff is amazing and fast, even on a busy Sunday morning they manage to run things smoothly. I love the Greek Skillet. It's like $8.95 with Gyro meat, fried potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, olives and crumbled feta cheese, topped with two eggs served with tzatziki and a choice of biscuits and gravy, french toast or pancakes. I don't know where everyone else reviewing this ate... but this place is nothing like what the reviews would indicate. The coffee tastes like it was made with dish water. The syrup tastes completely artificial. The pancakes are dense and lacking flavor. The veggies were undercooked on the veggie skillet. The sausage was way overcooked. Had a great experience here. Food came out very quickly and the portions where huge. Ordered an omelette that came with hash browns and two large pancakes. Don't be deceived by the simple name. The Egg provides an extensive breakfast menu and also serves lunch. Naturally, the breakfast menu provides the most options with traditional plates, benedicts, skillets, omelets and the like. I was surprised to find how much food comes with the order and at very reasonable prices. When looking at the menu, it reminds me of what a traditional diner's menu might look like, especially when looking at the lunch and dinner options. This is not a bad thing!!! Having traditional fare like this is very welcome when so many breakfast places are trying to out-fancy themselves and charging exorbitant prices. And the service was like a diner where you never had to worry about your traditional cup of coffee ever being empty and the staff were very friendly. While the interior is nothing fancy, the food and the service make the visit worth it. This is my new favorite breakfast locale. One word of warning though; you may feel the occasional rumbling from the floor when the gym next door gets a little active! read more
