I was hangry and looking for a place to eat breakfast. In the same shopping center as my Hertz car rental, I spotted a Waffle House. Interestingly enough, I'd never eaten at one before, so I threw caution to the wind, walked in, and grabbed the last available seat at the counter. It was already 10 a.m., but to my surprise, the place was packed! The friendly waitress took my order: * 3 eggs (over medium) * Wheat toast * Grits * Ham Even though it was very busy, my order arrived in about 10 minutes, and it was very good. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the ham slice was thick, the grits had a nice consistency and were tasty, and the wheat toast was nicely toasted and buttered. Yes, it was crowded and a little noisy, but this was a better-executed breakfast than I've had at much pricier restaurants. I'd happily return to this location when in need of a big breakfast. read more

Classic late night (or early morning) spot. Funny enough, I had never been to a Waffle House before! My friends took me after one of our nights out. We all crammed ourselves into a booth space and ordered our favorite guilty pleasure meal. I tried a Cheesesteak Melt Hashbrown Bowl, which is exactly what I wanted - a hot meal with meat, cheese, and potatoes. I'm not sure if I'd ever crave it in the future, but I'm glad to have built positive memories around my first experience! read more

I have always loved Waffle House. I find them quick and easy. Very basic food done well. I Yelp looking for one and Yelp pointed me to this one. It's in a nice area of town with safe, in close parking. As far as Waffle Houses go, this one was clean and well organized. Our server, a very outgoing woman named Debbie, was the definition of fast and efficient. Our food was made quickly and made well. I like being able to see our food being made. My eggs and my crispy waffle were made perfectly. This was a great breakfast experience from the time we arrived until we left. I highly recommend this great little eatery. read more

It's been 2 1/2 years since I visited a Waffle House. This location on County Line Rd just east of Broadway is one of the few on the Front Range of Colorado. I had a short wait for a counter aeat. As expected they were swamped with several parties waiting for booths to clear. Organized chaos with everyone in a good mood. Their prices have increased slightly and I noticed a few items, like country ham off the menu. Nevertheless, I got a wonderful meal. I got a pecan waffle, 2 sausage patties, Simply Orange pulp free juice in a jug (sorry no large glasses) and hashbrowns smothered, covered, chunked, diced, peppered, capped and topped. That's onions, cheese, smoked ham, tomatoes, jalapeños, mushrooms and Bert's chili. All for only $20. I was served by multiple ladies, so I tipped $5 in cash. read more

We've eaten breakfast at this restaurant several times now. The food is always quite good, aside from their fake butter. They really should switch to real butter. My only real complaint is the noise level. I guess the staff is trying to be friendly, or sound 'country', or whatever. But it's just a tiny joint and all the chatter and laughter really carries. On the plus side, the place is clean, service is prompt and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. read more

I live a nomadic lifestyle, so I go to Waffle House often. I have never felt the need to leave a review because every location I go to, gives consistent service that isn't exceptional enough to make me want to leave a positive review, yet not terrible enough to make me want to leave a bad review. This location, changed that. I understand that Waffle House is known for being fast, however this location felt rushed. Being in there, was like being in grade school when my mother would rush me to get ready in the morning so we weren't late. There is a big difference between being efficiently fast and rushing through service. You can always tell the difference in the quality of food and service. My toast, bacon, and waffle were overcooked. I sent the toast back because although I don't mind a bit of crispy bacon and waffle, I can't stand black toast. The food looked nothing like the photo or any meal I've had from any Waffle House in the past. Although, my server was nice, she talked so fast that I felt like I couldn't get a word in. Although, this wasn't the greatest experience, I'm glad I had it. I work in sales and I believe this was a reflection of how I engage in business at times. This reminded me to slow down to ensure I always give high quality service and check my product before sending it out, so that it is consistently appealing to the buyer. Every experience we have, is a reflection of ourselves. We are all mirrors to one another. So thank you for helping me learn. I, of course will return to Waffle House because as I said, I typically have food that is cooked properly and servers that don't go super fast with my order. However, I won't return to this specific location. I would prefer to go to the Thornton location when I am in Denver, even if it is out of the way. read more

Been here many times a while ago, so am surprised I haven't reviewed it yet. Definitely a diner ambience. They are open 24x7. It is an experience to go here. Absolutely love their cheese eggs and raisin toast breakfast. It came with has browns (or grits) and bacon, Others got the steak and cheese omelette with a waffle and "Waffle House coffee" and an order of scrambled eggs with a waffle. Menus appeared to be simplified a bit. Debbie, our server was super nice, and I like watching them put in/call out the orders (verbal to the grill masters). They used to only take cash awhile back, but am happy they take credit cards now. read more

Early morning drive and I spotted a Waffle House. What a great sunny day! Not to many cars in the parking lot so in I go. As soon as I walked in I heard a voice greeting me and said sit whereever you want to. The long counter top looked inviting as I watched employees working the grill but I went to the booth to enjoy the view outside. The menu is simple and two sided. You can change any order to your liking. It's cold in here so bring a jacket. Music is playing in the background and my coffee arrives. A lighter roast, smooth and fresh. As I wait for my meal my customers are coming in and I hear the employee greeting them and thanking the customers as they are leaving. My breakfast arrives and I'm disappointed that my waffle is thinner then a piece of bread but has a pleasant taste. Why??? I always thought the waffles were thick and fluffy. I ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns, white toast and a Waffle. Eggs are cool , bacon is thin but crunchy, toast is thick and hasbrowns are warm and tastfull. WOW! So much butter in the eggs and hasbrowns. The meal is flavorful but half way through its almost to cold to eat. I asked for a coffee to go and this was an option. I feel like our order came up less than five minutes later. The eggs and sausage were good. When we left around 10:30 there was a line waiting to be seated. This was my first time going to a Waffle House. I know...I've been living under a rock. The food was ok. I mean nothing was bad, but all in all, the food didn't really stand out. It was typical diner food. What did stand out were the cooks. It was pretty busy, so we had to sit at the counter. I'm SO happy we did. Hubby and I like to cook, so watching the cooks is fascinating to me. I haven't seen too many places these days were the waitresses are calling out orders to the line. These cooks were just on the top of their game. They were cranking out orders quick while working in their little spaces. Took my teen for his first WH visit on Valentine's Day. We were shocked at the crowd, and the flyer on the window saying reservations were required. Who woulda thought? They were able to seat us at the counter after about 10 minutes of waiting. The food was the usual fare. Fine but nothing amazing. What really shined was the service. They were insanely busy but everyone was so positive and cooperative, really nice to see. When you sit at the counter, you can really see how the sausage gets made and it was impressive what a well-oiled machine the place was. They provided fun paper hats for the holiday, and passed out Thank You notes to all the customers. The notes were all signed by each member of the staff. Super sweet. A+ customer service experience, basically the opposite of what you think of when you think 'Waffle House'. read more

Well, we had to try it! We heard from a few people that this was a great local spot to grab breakfast, so my wife and I headed out on our date for brunch. It is small, run down, a typical diner, but was incredibly crowded. We waited the 20 minutes and ended up sitting at the counter, where you can watch the open kitchen. We ordered a waffle breakfast w eggs, toast, sausage and hash browns and a standard breakfast w grits, sourdough toast, bacon, eggs. Well...the eggs, bacon, grits and toast were the best part. The sausage was worse than McDs and, the waffles for which they're named, tasted like an eggo toaster waffle. Really, really disappointing! Not worth the time or $$. Okay, so it's Waffle House not going for a gourmet meal. But, thought how bad could it be for a place to grab a cheeseburger and not sit in the car? I should have sat in the car. I saw they had a Texas Bacon Patty Melt. Here is a picture of the grilled onions. This is after I sent it back letting them know they forgot my grilled onions. This is what was brought back. Not, to mention they screwed up my husband's order too. Note that while we were there, all the employees, all 3 of them were complaining how dead it was. So, when a restaurant is hopping mistakes are made. But, for me to hear how dead it was and how bored you all were to get served a pathetic excuse of a Patty Melt. Came off a flight craving some good sloppy steak and eggs. Very nice greeting and on point service from Meka. I love sitting at the bar because I'm always impressed with how on point the cool is and how he can relay orders into quick turnarounds. However, the other older grumpier woman working there was on the cooks ass for no apparent reason. She was completely nasty to him, saying how "messed up he was, why did she even come in tonight, who pissed in his Cheerios," and then even scrambled to do his job for him. Extremely unprofessional and took all the childhood enjoyment out of the experience I was craving after a very nice trip. It's kinda funny we went to the Waffle House because we all like waffles, but we didn't order any. The other breakfasts looked good so we ordered one of those. I don't recommend the cheese on the eggs. I got way too much cheese and I'm a cheese lover. The hash browns had an unusual taste. Lots of butter on the toast. Maybe a little too much. I have been here for breakfast several times and always look forward to it. This time was not great. I always have the eggs sausage grits toast and waffle combo. This time the over medium eggs tasted old and overdone. They are usually very fresh and perfectly cooked. The grits, which are my favorite, were over loaded with butter. They normally have very little butter with extra on the side.. The waffle was almost tasteless , not like usual at all. The syrup was like water! What happened WH!
