    So convenient!!

Hello Fellow Yelpers! I was so excited to try the Empanada Shop - the only other establishment I know of like this is located in Hoboken NJ. My boyfriend and I popped in here on a Sunday afternoon and just our luck we found street parking right in front of their building. We ordered two chicken and two beef empanadas with a side of fries. The two chicken empanadas were a big soggy, but they tasted great! On the other hand, the beef empanadas we ordered were disgusting - I took one bite and threw it out. I wasn't sure if the meat had gone bad or what it was, but it definitely was not edible.

One of the best empanadas I've had in a while, I live in Paterson where you can buy a wide varieties of empanadas from different countries but none are as good as this place. I had 1 of each: beef, chicken and cheese. All 3 were very good, service was great, price was right, friendly staff that actually greets you lol, def worth the visit, don't tell anyone but they have the pink sauce too!!!

I'm on the fence about this place. Although I like having an emanada shop nearby, I think the food is just okay. I've tried several different varieties of empanadas here. The spinach and mozzarella, sausage peppers and onions, guava and cheese, three cheese blend and the apple pie. While the selection is vast and the size of the emanadas is impressive, it just doesn't wow me in the taste buds. The meat empanadas were greasy and the desert empanadas were too sweet. My favorite so far was probably the three cheese blend. One thing I did like was that the skin tasted nice and crunchy. I mean I didn't expect it to taste authentic, which it doesn't, but I did expect a fresh tasting item. I feel like these empanadas taste similar to frozen food or store bought items. But nonetheless, it is a new business in town and getting one every once in while does serve as a good appetizer or a dessert with another meal. I don't think I can eat more than one of these at a time. The price is decent $3 or so, for each empanada given the size.

I was very excited to see this shop open, big fan of empanadas, but was a little disappointed in the specialty ones. The ground beef and the shrimp in garlic were tasty, but I was not a fan of the mac and cheese at all or the pizza. Also the crust were a bit soggy when they should be crispy. Not sure if this is a learning curve thing, or what, but I will be back to try again.

Buffalo chicken empanadas were dry today. The regular chicken was better. I'm not sure how long they were sitting out for. My wife loves the guava and cheese. Surprisingly, the mango madness smoothie was filling and substantial. We'll be back again to try some others.

They are new so I am going to rank this place purely based on how good their empanada is. Their empanada is average. It is not the most amazing one I've had but it is also not the worst. The pork one is a bit salty. I think the best one for me is the beef empanada. We've also ordered the sweet potato fries and rice and beans. Rice and beans were subpar and the rice tasted like left over rice. Sweet potato fries were great but they put it in a plastic container, if we didn't eat it right away it would of been soggy. The smoothies were decent (ahola is the better one) - freshly blended. While the rating does not reflect their service - I need to state how disorganized they were. We ordered 2 combo meals (2 empanadas with a side) and they wrote my order down on a ticket front and back. Yep! you guessed it! They did not flip over the ticket hence they only had 1/2 of my order. There were also way too many people behind the counter. I was waiting for them to collide with each other. It also seems that they do not keep stock on what empanadas to make when they run low. So you have a bunch of customers waiting for their order. One guy came in for a pick up and they had no clue what he was talking about. I don't know if I'll come back here after such a night. Maybe in the far future when they are more established.

Oh man, I got the chance to stop in at the Empanada shop and it was amazing!!!! So many different kinds of Empanada's to try and so little time!!!! Thank goodness they are all ready to go in the warmers and piping hot and delicious. I tried the chicken, beef, sausage peppers and onions, and the buffalo chicken. They were all amazing!!!! They also had a Cuban sandwich on the menu that was also delicious, I stole a bite from my friend and was immediately jealous I didn't order it. I did leverage half of my sausage and peppers and half my buffalo chicken Empanada for the last half of the sandwich which worked out perfect. If you love empanada's, I can't recommend this place enough. Fast, friendly, hot, and delicious, The Empanada shop is awesome, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The empanadas were ok. Personally I think they are overpriced but they were a nice size.

While there isn't exactly an Argentine neighborhood in New Jersey, many great restaurants are…read morelocated in the northern part of the state. Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.
