Amazing coffee, but passive aggressive service. Would be back for the coffee, though.

    Very good.

Coming to Cortaditos is like a tropical island visit. Their kiosk is beautifully decorated, the service is always cordial/helpful, and looking at their nostalgic decor is emotional. During today's visit, we ordered two fantastic drinks: The Frozen Cafe Con Leche and an Iced Tres Leches Latte. Both were exquisitely sweet and both were the perfect selection to go with the following pastries: Quesito (cream cheese pastry baked to golden perfection and topped with a layer of crunchy sugar) and the Guava & Queso Pastelito (guava and cheese puff pastry). Each bite was full of different textures and sweetness that has to be savored, in order to believe my description. Thank you Cortaditos, for providing great products and making mall visits memorable and delicious.

I had placed an order for a drink and a sandwich at 8:48pm with a pick up time of 9:03... When I arrived, the drink was ready and the lady said the sandwich would be ready in another 10 minutes. After waiting there for quite a while, it was still not ready and there was no one that came to order anything. After asking how much longer it'll take, she went to the back to the kitchen and came back out saying it was coming. I finally received my sandwich at 9:17. I would understand if the delay was that it was busy, but there was no order ahead of mine that needed to be made. The drink was just alright and the sandwich was not made correctly. I ordered a vegan Cuban sandwich ordered as is, and it was missing the pickles and mustard. I was looking forward to this as I've had the vegan Cuban from a different location which was amazing, and this one was highly disappointing.

THE BOMB FRIZEN CAFE CON LECHE!!! Great service, great options, mall ambiance. We would definitely seek this place out in other locations.

Good place. Nice selection of food. I like that they go for the authentic Cuban five while also mixing things up a bit. Like their Cuban empanada is pretty good. Also, they're garbanzo empanada was enjoyable. Obviously the prices of the empanada were a little steep for the size, but I get it. They have to pay their rent. Customer service was incredible. The young woman working the cash register deserves a raise for her patience explaining things with us. The food court is always nice so I can't complain about the ambience. Go. It's worth it.

Service was terrible. They dont smile or say hi and expect you to just place order from the screen. The workers just kept talking amongst themselves and ignored me. I can see why the place was empty. The food was dry and not that flavorful. I was craving a beef empanada and took me several bites till there was beef. The meat pastelito had more flavor and was better and if I had just that...maybe would have given 3 stars. Don't see myself ever coming back and would not recommend this place.

I can't speak on the food but I stopped here to get a strawberry mojito (non alcoholic) and it was super refreshing. A little heavy on the mint but it was good!

Lovely cuban cafe with an interesting filled assortment of puff pastries! I highly recommend the Pollo Fricasé Empanada (Chicken Stew). The sauces that come with it taste amazing, and the flavors are complex. Very nice snack while going around the mall! Food: 5 | Service:5 | Atmosphere: 5

For a grab and go style cortaditos instead of their usual full service cafe and bakery, this is nice. I live the Cuban vibe, makes me feel like I am back in Havana or in Miami. It's not where I'd usually go but if I'm in the mall, this is the only place I will usually go for cafe and Cuban bites.

This place is located inside American Dream mall at the food court. I was attending the escape room there with a group. I got to the mall earlier than my expected time and decided to have a small bite to eat. After much consideration, I decided to try Cortaditos. I knew I was going to be eating after my activity so I kept it light. I got one empañada with chicken. It was flavorful and I liked the shedded meat. The young lady who took my order was pleasant and knowledgeable when I asked questions about their other locations. Since this was a smaller version of the store , I do plan on visiting the big ones,

Cortaditos has more of a Miami Cuban vibe then tha stuffy North Jersey I am used to and it's very colorful, chill, and tropical for a small counter at American Dream Mall. They have a cool art work of Celia Cruz who was a giant in latin music world and later coin the word Azúcar, which is suger. They got a good strong coffee when compare to the any other coffees you can get here at the other vendors, I wanted to do a back flip after I had it. The coffee goes well with a Cuban style sugar cookie, Mantecado. Everyone has Empanadas so I skipped them and went for the Pastelitos, say it like 'pa·stuh·lee·towz' which are more of a pastry dough and have a filling. I had guava paste, 'Pastelito Guayaba', they also have one with cheese, 'Queso' and another with with seasoned ground beef, raisins, & chopped olives. There much more here to on there menu but the place was packing customers, so I will be back for more.

I arrived and went to the bar to provide my order, which took approximately 15 minutes to be finished for take out. Bar: The service at the bar was fantastic. My first time here ordering for my spouse and I and she explained the full menu, provided water while I was waiting. Patient, attentive. 10/10. No complaints in service. Inside: At 5:30 PM arrival seated areas were empty but the bar was at 50% capacity. I do remember walking at night time and this place is always busy or full. When entering you are greeted by the front lady for reservations. The ambience is fantastic, with great lighting and a structure that is clear where to go for bathroom, bar, back to your seat! The music being played, hispanic and Cuban music brought a great vibe. As someone who worked in Monterrey for over a year, it felt like I was culturally back. 10/10. Great location. Great ambience and lighting. Great music. Fantastic interior design with plenty of spacing Food: Amazing food. One appetizer with bananas I believe was simply outstanding. The braised pork we ate was sooooo tender and well cooked. Only thing, which does not deserve docking a score, is make sure you call or know beforehand if there are large parties or events going on. It is very noisy if that's not your vibe when those events are going on and they happen often here especially on weekends.

The restaurant is colorful, lively, and has a great atmosphere without feeling too formal. We started with the Tuna Wantacos. Our server warned us that they were spicy, and he was right -- definitely a little kick, but very flavorful. The white fish ceviche was bright and refreshing, with that tangy, salty leche de tigre that really wakes up your appetite. The Lomo Saltado was hearty and satisfying, but my favorite dish of the night was the Seafood Arroz Chaufa. It came topped with an omelet and had squid, fried shrimp, and plenty of seafood throughout. Really comforting, savory, and filling -- I would absolutely order this again. We also had chicha morada and a passion fruit drink. I've always liked purple corn drinks, so the chicha morada was an easy favorite. We finished with a chocolate dessert, which was a nice ending after such a big meal. Overall, a very enjoyable Peruvian dinner with fun décor, good flavors, and plenty of variety. I'd definitely come back, especially for the seafood fried rice.

We left with the impression that this is probably the kind of restaurant someone should visit for their very first introduction to Peruvian food--not because it represents the best of Peru, but because it offers a simplified version of its flavors. The restaurant itself is beautiful. It's clear that a significant investment was made in the design, atmosphere, and overall experience. The service was friendly, and we noticed that many of the servers were Colombian, which isn't surprising since Colombians are well known for providing excellent hospitality. However, there were moments when it seemed that some of the traditional Peruvian flavors and drinks weren't fully understood. For example, the Pisco Sour we ordered was much sweeter than it should have been. We decided to start with the jalea, hoping it would set the tone for the meal. Unfortunately, it did the opposite. The dish was overly salty and lacked the balance and excitement that a great Peruvian jalea should have. Instead of reminding us of the vibrant seafood flavors found in Peru, it tasted more like generic fried seafood than an authentic Peruvian recipe. After that dish, we chose not to continue with the rest of the menu. To make matters worse, both of us experienced stomach pain afterward, which confirmed our decision to leave. One thing that also caught my attention is the restaurant's description of its food as "approachable Peruvian cuisine." Making Peruvian food approachable should never mean lowering the quality or authenticity of its flavors. Simplicity and accessibility can absolutely coexist with exceptional taste. The beautiful atmosphere should be matched by food that delivers the same level of excellence. Considering the premium prices, the culinary experience simply didn't justify the cost. If someone has never tried Peruvian food before, Jarana may serve... again: may serve as an introduction. However, for anyone looking to experience what Peruvian cuisine is truly capable of, there are several outstanding Peruvian restaurants within just a few miles that offer more authentic flavors, a better overall dining experience, and often at a lower price. I genuinely wanted to love this restaurant because the concept and ambiance are impressive. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the setting or the reputation behind the name.
