The owner is a great guy. Plenty of beers on tap and really great cultured food for the location.

The indoor space struck the perfect balance, warm, intimate, and private, but never stuffy or overly formal. You could relax and actually enjoy the people around you. The food was a highlight! beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. And the staff was genuinely attentive without ever hovering. Everything flowed effortlessly from start to finish, which let all of us simply be present for the moment that mattered. What stood out most was how personal it all felt. This wasn't a place going through the motions, you could feel the thought behind every detail, from the setup to the warm hospitality. If you're looking for a cozy, welcoming spot to host a gathering, I can't recommend this cafe enough. Beautiful food, and a team that treats your special day like it matters to them too. We'll be back! PS: we had the Aromatic Crimson Chicken with rice and veggies and it was amazing!

Not sure who cooks this food, but it was quite possibly the most disgusting worst food I've ever had. Not an ounce of seasoning on anything, and barely anything resembling culture. Ordered chicken shawarma platter, no tzatziki, hummus on the side, rice on the side. Also ordered musakahn rolls, chicken shawarma flat bread, and mujadara. The chicken all across the board was dry as a rock, room temperature, completely tasteless, and crunchy like it was days old. I didn't get the musakahn roll, I got veggie spring rolls instead. They were soggy in the middle and greasy. The chicken shawarma flatbread, I have no idea what the heck they gave me, but it wasn't what I ordered. The menu says comes with chicken, tahini, pickled radish, and toum. What I got was the same days old dry as a rock flavorless chicken with tomatoes, salad, mayo, ketchup, and parsley on it. The mujadara was fine, just basmati rice with some lentils topped with not cooked enough onions. I asked for one toum and one hummus on the side, but the restaurant gave me five toums, five tahinis, five hummus, and five hot sauce. I didn't ask for all that so it shouldn't have sent. My wife didn't eat her food. I scraped some chicken off the flatbread and had a few spoons of rice. Everything else went into the trash. Also, the toum isn't toum, it's mayo with garlic. At least try please. Can't compete or compare with NYC style Halal food, not even remotely.

We arrived around 2:30pm on a Thursday, there was only one other group there. We were immediately greeted and our waiter was super friendly and chatty. The inside is pretty casual, and they played 2000s hits at a good volume. We started with a cup of Turkish coffee... I've never had Turkish coffee so maybe this is standard, but they did not offer cream or sugar. I don't usually like black coffee but it was surprisingly light, and the serving was pretty small so I actually quite enjoyed it. The owner later said it was the brand Utica coffee (which I love). We ordered the loaded fries, which came with taziki sauce, feta cheese, and tabouleh. Usually loaded fries feel very heavy and greasy, but these tasted very fresh. For the main dish, we ordered the Elias Gyro and the Layla Gyro. My pallet is usually more oriented towards lots of flavor and spice, so I found the Layla Gyro to be lighter than I would have liked. There wasn't as much sauce as I was expecting, but it was still very moist. I loved the pickled vegetables in it, but I wasn't a huge fan of the fries. The Elias Gyro was a lot more flavor heavy thanks to the garlic sauce, which was delicious. The meat in both gyros was cooked perfectly. Lastly, we had the baklava. Ive never had baklava before so I have nothing to compare it to, but oh my goodness it was so good. Overall, super positive experience. It's always such a treat to see the owner walking around interacting with customers, and I would definitely go again whenever I want something light and fresh.
