We've lived at the Enclave for 2 years and have loved it. The amenities (pre-COVID) were always clean and up kept. We have loved in both types of units (market rate and BMR) and both are comparable with appliances, flooring, carpet, etc. Overall, the staff is great, the location is safe and maintained well. read more

This review is for the tour experience. Horrible, unprofessional. I am looking for apartments to move and a friend that lives nearby told me The Enclave could be a cheaper option but still close to her and our work place. The girl in the lobby scanned me and told me the rules to qualify to live there. It felt wierd as 'i am not sure you can live here'. She was on the dry side but i understand i came with no appointment. She took my ID (unless other places that scan it and return immediately). They did not have hand sanitizers and the map you get is plastified and used by many people. The worst is that she gave me a wrong key that would not open any of the apartments i was supposed to see. I called once and I was told to wait and someone will assist me. Then was called to go to the other building as they were busy. I went to the next building and door didn't open. I called and the same girl insisted that it was impossible. I took a video but obviously at this point she only wanted to get rid of me. Very bad customer service. Still i got s bad impression of the complex: dated, dark, plants all not well maintained. Smelled super bad. If you are not into Indian food, is all about Indian cooking smells too. Trash at many doors, too many shoes in the hallways. I will rent somewhere else. read more

The search of a grand apartment started a year and a half ago.... We found this place called The Enclave...beautfiul apartment community. Gated, tennis courts, two pools, one olympic sized, one regular sized, a kiddy pool, jacuzzi, fax and copy center, beautiful recreation area, and a gym....WHOO HOOOO.... Or so we thought.... after spending a wonderful 10 undisturbed months, we started running into problems... My car had been vandalized in our underground parking lot, as well as 7 other vehicles that night. Some dumb ass kids decided to jump on cars, YES I REPEAT JUMP ON CARS. Denting my roof pretty badly as well as denting other resident's cars and car roofs as well. Of course, I had to call resident services in regards to it and of course, "Unfortunately, crime happens anywhere, we can make sure our security patrol is more aware of things and if they see people hopping the fence they are sure to make them turn around." Mind you in this beautiful lovely hotel like community; the neighbors next to us in another "Stonegate"...hmmm an interesting "hyphy" crowd, they are always playing their ghetto music because well I can hear their cars from my third floor balcony. An incident that happened hours ago, pushed my last nerve. MY APARTMENT GETS BROKEN INTO. Yes I was stupid to leave my kitchen window closed, yet unlocked (as I have left it unlocked plenty of times, because I felt like my community was SAFE) as I was in a rush to drop off my daughter and go to work for my first client. Someone had decided to crawl through a window no larger than 2ft by 2ft and walk out the front door with my laptop. Our next door neighbor is also missing a screen and their door is ajar as well... LOVELY... So I find out by receiving phone calls from my fiance while I'm at work. His first question. "Where is your laptop?" I say "On the kitchen table." He answers "NO ITS NOT!!" I said "Call 311 make a police report." Now I can't sleep. The beautiful apartment community that we had been dying to get into a year and a half ago is not what I expected at all. read more

I have been living here for a couple months and it has been great so far. Mark Anthony was absolutely amazing! And made me feel extremely welcomed! It is an awesome community to live in. Also, the maintenance team is amazing super effective and fast to get the job done. Juan is great! And super friendly answered any maintenance questions asked. Let's just say I think the construction workers cut corners... and forgot the sound proofing material!! You can hear the upstairs guy playing WoW into random hours of the night and just having the computer make little clicking noises is enough to make the psycho downstairs guy pound on his ceiling. Parking is always a hassle and someone tried breaking into my trunk when I was parked outside of the gate. You idiots.. you can't crowbar your way into my trunk!! Especially when you're prying 2 feet away from the latch! Safety has been a concern here considering that the gates are broken a lot. Also they're having issues with vandalism, there were a few staircase fires set with derogatory comments scrawled in sharpie on the walls in elevators. Security here is a joke and there's always notices posted advising people on "increased break ins." I really hate how there is only one elevator bay in the building and when people are moving or when kids throw rocks down the shaft the whole thing goes kaput. They don't have convenient staircases from the garage out when the elevator blows. read more

I searched many communities and the Enclave was great. I worked closely with Omar Bermudez which was very helpful in finding the right unit at the right price. I was trying to reserve space while I was traveling in India without ever seeing the studio apartment and he was really helpful in making the transition as smooth as possible. Even when I had some issues later on regarding rent and late fees he was very helpful and understanding. I loved the following · Location (shopping and freeways are convenient) · Gated community - feels safe. · Plenty of parking. · Tons of amenities. · Clean community. · Responsive and courteous staff, office & maintenance. The only negative factor is the high price, but it is somewhat comparable to other apartments in area and you cannot complain too much given all the amenities. It is a better place for a family than the singles and I would recommend this community. read more

We used to like living here until the management was changed. Do not make the mistake of renting here. The leasing staff lacks common courtesy and talks down to residents. They try hard to be nice to you until you nice the lease, but once you do, they act as if they lack a soul. They will make your stay a living hell! The community is infested with roaches and bedbugs. They charge a trash collection fee and the utilities are more than $200 a month for a 2 bed. They do not have any type of security, and apartment and car break-ins are very common. The elevators smell of urine. Look for another option if you want a decent place to live for you and your family. read more

My husband and I lived at The Enclave for 3 years (2017-2020). Overall it was a positive experience and I would recommend any of my friends to live there. With that said, I think it's fair to weigh the pros and cons with my list below: PROS -Amenities are awesome: multiple swimming pools and hot tubes for kids and adults -decent sized gym and yoga/workout studio -parcel pending lockers to protect your shipments -maintenance was responsive, the longest I had to wait for service was 2 days (non emergency). -location: great location to walk my dog, nearby Target and Chipotle and the 237 was just around the corner. My husband and I would walk to 49ers games and never had to worry about parking. CONS -washer and dryer are on the patio inside a storage unit that tends to have lots of spiders and cobwebs. The W/D would get dusty from the environment and having to get your clothes while it's cold or hot outside is not fun. -parking: parking oscillates between scarce and plentiful. If you're lucky enough to come home by 2-3pm you will find parking within the gates. Parking after that time is scarce and if you have to park overnight (outside the gates) and you leave your car in the guest parking lot past 9am, they will put an awful green sticker on your driver side window that leaves a tough residue and you will have to use Goo Gone to remove it (even if you have a parking permit). There's a history of hit-and-runs on the street so parking on the street is risky and also scarce. -neighbors and noises : any apartment comes with its share of loud noises and we fully understand that. With that said, we know there are noises that should not be typical and can be incredibly rude and irritating especially if you work from home. Here are some examples: Loud screaming (and I mean S C R E A M I N G) children running/stomping/biking up and down the hallways right outside your door and window (there aren't many areas for them to bike or run safely in the streets, so they're forced to do so right in the hallways). Our upstairs neighbors got into lots of fights and would scream and stomp back and forth at least once a month, we could hear her crying on her patio balcony. Airplanes, since we were located right under the take off/landing route for SJC. Space and storage: we had a 1bd/1ba and it was cramped. There is very little storage for both indoor and outdoor items. We did the best we could without space but just be prepared to buy a lot of storage furniture and be creative with their placement. We had just enough counter space for our keurig, kettle, dish drying rack and rice cooker. I was never able to purchase an air fryer or instant pot because they could never fit in the cabinets and there was just not enough counter space. read more

He was patient, and tirelessly searched through the available apartments, as well as upcoming units to suit my budget and time frame. Ultimately, I did not end up leasing at The Enclave because the floor plan I looked at was snatched up quick twice and the only other unit was not available to show until next month. I have a hard time saying anything nice about this place. The management isn't responsive to questions or concerns. They clean the walk ways but leave a mess behind (see the photo) right in front of my apt door. Assigned parking spots may be compact and there's no flexibility if you have a non compact car. I signed my lease with the expectation of 24/hr security only to find out the management didn't renew the contract when I followed the after hours prompts through the leasing office phone # ! It was a 1am security emergency and I was completely left hanging. When I called the office the next morning they said that security was an "amenity" and they're not required to offer it.... Even though they're phone system prompts you to talk to security! Incredibly unprofessional and misleading. The leasing office and maintenance dept don't talk and they're silos reflect the poor service. Their email messages to residents are poorly written and accusatory. They're struggling to address the concerns, lease apts (the parking structures are super empty and they sent a note asking for referrals - their struggle is real), and keep us safe - hire security and maybe you wouldn't be stretched so thin. On the non-covid plus side, the pool is nice when it's open. read more

From the moment my mom and I arrived at the property and were greeted by Omar, we immediately felt at home with his magnetic personality and enthusiasm to help us find a home. Even though our appointment was only scheduled to be 30 minutes, he ended up spending over two hours with us showing us units that fit our needs, and answering all the questions we had candidly and honestly. So I'm updating my review with 5 stars. I'm really picky and type-A (stingy with 5-stars) so I really mean it when I recommend a place. I would not hesitate recommending the Enclave to any one of my friends and family. All the amenities are nice (gym, pool, tennis courts, FULL SIZE washer dryer, dishwater, a/c, heat, balcony) and this place is safe (I've stayed at Building 1 and 8). I highly recommend the top floor with the tall ceilings and bay windows. And fireplace. My friends love to come over and there is always street parking. Lisa at the Resident Services and Anthony at the Leasing Office are great. So I had a pinhole leak from the fire sprinkler system in my walk-in and they drycleaned everything (EVERYTHING. including my handbag dustbags) and put me up in the model home (which was 2BR and like a hotel). They took care of everything efficiently, honestly and professionally. The porters that helped me move my stuff back and forth and the maintenance people are so kind and hardworking. I actually enjoyed moving my stuff with them and practicing some of my broken Spanish. This is an up and coming location and it's really convenient to 880, 237, and 101. I lived at this apartment complex for a year. It was the worst experience and I couldn't wait for my lease to end. Cars constantly being broken into and bikes being stolen off balconies. No security ever hired to try and help. Management is absolutely worthless and does nothing to help. Management lies saying they never experienced theft but after talking to neighbors they said they all been burglarized while out on vacation. Very odd that someone who knows the schedule of your home and know you're out of town and that's when things are stolen. Must be a employee doing it .My shower ran cold water constantly and they never fixed the water heater. The manager lady I forget her name and trust me you can't miss her is so disrespectful and inconsiderate! She will tell you it's your fault if anything happens to you and will do nothing to fix it. Talked to maintenance and they also say management is unfair and soulless. Stay away from this apartment! Don't make the same mistake I did. read more

My Husband and I lived here for two years from dec 2014 - feb 2016. The complex is overall very nice and peaceful . pros- maintenance staff is very prompt, hardworking and helpful. nice amenities. amazing pool. easy trail access. cons- conservice- our utilities prior to conservice (with nwp) were exactly half the current bills.jumped from 750 a year to 1250 a year (yearly extra approx 500 ). valet waste mandatory 25 dollar fee for trash extraction which can easily be done by yourself (that is 300 dollars extra yearly to take out trash !! ). Apart from Joe and reneil in the leasing office everyone else has a generally disdainful attitude. I almost dread a trip to the leasing office to pick up my parcel because I am rarely pleased to interact with the leasing staff. poor sunlight in the courtyard placed apartments . read more

What separates Enclave Apartments from other apartment communities in the area is the customer service provided by the staff. From my experience, the Leasing Office staff is responsive and comprehensive with action it takes to address questions or issues. The apartment itself is nice inside. They do a great job with turning it over from the last resident to the next one. They carefully review all points inside the unit - from the kitchen appliances to the patio - that you inevitably will move into a clean and fully-functioning apartment. With regards to crime - it happens everywhere. From what I know, crime has happened much less at Enclave and it's probably due to the self-patrol and alertness of the current residents. Location can't be beat as it's close to 237. Overall, I recommend Enclave. The Leasing Office staff has been tremendously helpful. read more

We get new management and leasers EVERY one to three months. They never pick up the phone nor host any community events. As a resident that's been here longer than 90% of the staff, don't rent here, they don't have the decency to pick up your calls, but they do have the decency to take your money and charge you a big chunk of it for rent. I will be moving from Northern California to this beautiful town. I came down last week, to spend some time with family and my wife and I stopped by this illustrious looking complex 3x in one day. Despite signs that said someone would return calls, we called and left several messages, providing our phone number, and asking someone to call us so we can discuss the "open and vacant" units being touted on the web. Here we are 1 week later; no return calls; no-one was there when we stopped by-AT ALL. Not a representative in site.....apparently to this day, to answer phones/doors/calls. With this kind of service/attention, I can see how one could be made to feel homeless, even in one of these units. I am now convinced; I would rather strap on a pair of boxer shorts, that have been dipped in bacon grease and then, get into a phone booth (the kind that superman used to change in) with a bobcat that has not eaten in a week, than trust my needs would be met at the Enclave. read more

They were so welcoming and treated me as if they have known me forever. Mark was patient, professional and extremely helpful. He helped me find the perfect apartment (each unit is unique and all so different). He always replied and returned phone calls promptly and got the job done! I would highly recommend reaching out to him. The maintenance team was also extremely helpful and assisted me with an "accident" that happened the 1st few days of my move. We have lived here for more more than a year now and we have had a great time! Tennis courts are great, swimming pools and the community are maintained well and there is plenty of parking. Having the Guadalupe trail right behind is a huge benefit, we go for there for runs and walks regularly. I work for a corporate housing company and working with Enclave has been a breeze. Every maintenance request has been submitted timely and efficiently. All communication has a fast response rate. The complex has very well kept grounds, and the amenities are superb. location is key. You can see Levi's stadium in the background without being too close for all the noise. The apartments have these wide open windows that have a gorgeous view. All stainless steel appliances, central A/C, and washer dryer in unit. I had the worst experience of my life when I moved out out of this community... Community gives all tenants parking stickers even though we have our own designated parking spaces. These are cheap quality paper stickers (not fobs or cards). I happened to lose my sticker right before I moved out and they made me pay $75 for that. When I urged them to waive off that amount they showed me a document I signed as an agreement to pay that amount in an event I lose that sticker. Few months later, my friends, who are still in that community, tell me that their AC unit has been broken since 3 months and the community is not willing to fix that as it costs a lot to replace the whole unit. So guess what???... Rules, policies, agreements are only applicable to tenants. Community will charge tenants whatever heck they want but we cannot held them responsible for not fixing the AC in the middle of a hot summer. This is just not acceptable! read more

The good: - A few of the staff is nice and helpful - The size of the swimming pool and trees outside of your window - They do return part of your deposit when you move out The bad and the truth: - Our car got broke in at the first night when we moved in. So many people complains about crimes the manage team close their official discussion board. (Same first day experience heard from one of the neighbors after 8 months) We also learned from neighbor's experience that if we want to keep our bikes we better leave it indoor not on the patio - Strangers at your door ask for money, thefts at your door for packages - The pool is like a tourist site. Almost everyone in the area knows the code of the gate and comes in during summer days to enjoy the pool (There were once an ice cream truck parked INSIDE the gate) - Thin walls, when our neighbor watch TV, we can feel the whole living room floor shaking. If you ever notice or care, the ceiling height of the 1st / 2nd floor is lower than some of the other apartments - A few staff has this "attitude" that can 'make your day' This was my 1st apartment when I first moved to San Jose, I did not know how much my money worth for a gated apartment till I moved into a camera installed place after this. read more

We recently moved-in a two bedroom apartment and everything so far has been a positive experience. Let me break it down: 1. Leasing office - Cathleen has been excellent during the entire process from finding the apartment to moving-in. She has been very helpful and accommodating. During our original appointment, we were running out of time and she moved around her schedule for the next day to show us more apartments. She has been very communicative even after moving-in and following/checking up if things are okay. 2. Maintenance - When we moved-in we found a couple of broken things and requested maintenance. We were surprised that it got fixed on the same day even if they were not urgent. 3. Complex/Community - The community so far seems nice and quiet. There are 2 tennis courts + pools + a small gym. They all look pretty well maintained. The only minor complaint that I have is that they could upgrade their gate system to make it up-to-date with current trend of key fobs. Getting your car in is a little bit of hassle, but we can live with it. read more

I moved in about a week ago and so far it has met my expectations. The Enclave seems like a very nice place to call home. The neighborhood is great with lots of options around for good eats and shopping centers. Cathleen has been wonderful to work with in finding me the perfect apartment and with the leasing process. She even graciously waited for me after hours to grant me my keys and do the necessary walk through. She took the time to go over all I needed to know to feel welcomed. Kudos and many thanks for your attentiveness. Omar and Jessica have both been tremendously helpful and kind as well during all of my questions and needs. My son and I love the pools and feel like we are on vacation right in our own backyard! We hope to continue to feel comfortable and relaxed here. The only con so far - the odor and stench from the garbage room near the elevator is very strong and unpleasant. Wish the design and location was away from the area we use on a daily basis. :-( read more
