This is a really nice and safe please to live, I have been living in Enclave for more than 4 years. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service is fast and they always looking to help you as soon as posible. They have great amenities, the pool and the areas around are awesome... they take care of the cleanliness of the complex, they take care of the garden, there is a pets friendly community, the gym, yoga room and tennis court also is a great compliment that make Enclave apartment really nice place to live. Also the location is great because there is shopping center really close and a lot of great restaurants around. read more

You are reading this review because you are planning to move here or you are already in this apartment. I stayed for around 2 years in this apartment for 2 lease terms. The Good - It looks beautiful at first. Better appliances. Refunded all the deposit (Only time I got 100% refund.) Can be near to your work location. Walk-able from VTA. The Reality - This complex is known for thefts since long. Check the area crime report. Thefts from your car parked in garage - Management tries to tell that people don't lock their cars. What I felt is that the theft is intentionally allowed in their car garage. They will never place cameras in their garage as it will stop the thefts. Parcel thefts - I have a case where the parcel from Walmart was handed over in office but the office never received it. Cranky maintenance and office staff - Your work will be done if you talk to them in tough voice and be ready to fight. Talk to them politely and they will crank out. Stranger parked the car in your spot - Call the apartment support and they will ask you to get it towed. and they don't have towing company number. Beggars at your door - Someone might knock and ask you to help them because they are in trouble. Just say "not now, sometime later" and close the door, or just don't open the door. The lift often don't work in evenings - So if you are at top floor then _- ' Once you signed the lease then you are in hands of maintenance staff who was not there while the apartment was shown to you. Now you can decide if you can handle the situation and live there or want to find something else. Try to find apartments where the sales and maintenance is done by same people. I have been looking for a 1 bedroom apartment for some time now. The biggest problem I have come across is that I don't need it for a few months and when I mention that to the folks that show the apartments they usually give me the same reaction. There is no enthusiasm due to the fact that they know I will not be renting on the spot. Wanting to be better prepared and proactive should be rewarded. However, when I came across the Enclave, it was very clear to see that it was much different here. I dealt with a very unique leasing agent by the name of Omar and he was not put off by my moving in date being so far out. He treated me much different than others have. He actual took the time to show me the entire community and all the 1 bedrooms that they had available. He made me feel as like I was renting right then and there. He is the reason I stopped my search because I felt that if he is so attentive and professional, well that is someone I would like to deal with while staying at this community. As for the community itself, it has all that I was looking for especially the pricing. It is very impressive when you first arrive. The pool area really draws you in and the access to the trail for biking or jogging is amazing. With two tennis courts that look brand new I will definitely be taking up the sport. They have a fitness center that is very clean and Parcel lockers that are very convenient for people like me that work long hours. They have a dog park and that is also important to me as I have one. Parking seems to be plentiful and you get one complementary reserved space. The location of this community is spot on as it is very close to freeways and shopping centers. Omar assured me that he will keep an eye on units that will become available more in my time frame and that he will send me the information for those units. He has already send me an email with all the community has to offer and all of the floor plans so I know that he will follow up with me at a later time. Had a few hiccups during the initial phase of moving in but after living here for a year- i can confidently say that we were in good hands. Omar was excellent in his communications and helped us through the entire process. His professionalism is one of the reasons why i am deciding to possibly renew for a 1 bed or studio. Safe and quiet community with plenty of parking, you avoid much of the bay area traffic aside from the occasional event at the nearby Stadium. Also their apartment services which is submitted online is very prompt and getting anything resolved. The location of this community is quiet and generally safe. Though you'll have to hear your neighbors all day because of how thin the walls are. Staff at the office are never friendly, only when you first inquire about wanting to rent. This only star goes to their maintenance staff only- always prompt and get things done. Lived here for two years and then moved out a couple months early because we bought a home. We did pay all move out fees and last months rent. Few months later they tried to say we didn't pay our moveout fees. Jokes on them, I saved screenshots of every payment made- they even tried to charge us TWICE for move out fees right when we left but I sent them all the proof I kept and they said "sorry". A YEAR since moving out we receive a letter from collections stating we still owed money. Can you believe that?! I dug through my emails and sent them proof AGAIN that everything was taken care of prior to us leaving but we never heard back from them. Of course. Multiple calls to their office but no one answers. I made an appeal to collections and of course a month later we were fine. The money they requested was denied, rightfully so. So just be aware- they play dumb. Especially when it comes to charging fees and asking for money. SAVE all your proof of payments and emails. Actually, just look elsewhere. Don't be fooled by the beautiful pool area and high ceiling rooms. It's not worth it. Glad to have moved on. read more

I was going to write a nicer review after moving out, but apartments management reminded me about their real attitude by ignoring requests weeks after weeks. We got a move out statement with extra $153 amount on it without any explanation. I wrote emails after emails asking to help me understand where extra charges are coming from, but no reply. Not surprised at all, they've been ignoring my requests before when I still was a resident, why would they treat me better after I've moved out. Worth mentioning, however, that apartments have great location and we had a nice top level floor plan with extra high ceiling and sunset views. Also worth mentioning that apartments are not new, windows are old and let the wind in, W/D are outside on the balcony. Top floor balcony is very windy and doesn't have roof, so be ready to pick up your clean stuff in any weather. For noise-sensitive people - keep in mind constant airplanes and regular choo-choos from train. read more

The worst leasing office experience ever. I went to have a tour of this apartment. After that the leasing office didnt pick up and of my calls or returned my voicemails or emails. I applied directly on the website and they immediately increased the rent of the apartment. This kind of attitude even before I rent the apartment dont know how they respond to the current residents if they respond to them at all. read more

I was happy with this place when I first moved in but in the end I wish I had chosen a different place to stay when I first moved here. I'll start with what I did like: - Great parking. There was never a lack of parking even on weekends, could easily have friends over anytime. - It does look nice on the outside, and they have lovely bay windows, definitely unique in complex setup like this. - There's trash pickup right outside your front door 5 days a week. What I didn't like: - Kinda feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Unless you're okay with only needing Target, you have to drive at minimum a few miles to get to anything. - Not sure about other buildings, but the floor outside in the hallways was absolutely filthy. - The deposit and final move out charge felt like they were pinching pennies on finding things to dock off to get as much of the deposit as they could. We only actively lived in the apartment for 12 months, with brand new carpet and they replaced the entire thing when we kept good care of it. Really left a bad taste in my mouth. - The main thing that was 99% of the reason why I wanted to move out was the noise from upstairs neighbors. Words cannot express how much rage I have over the situation we had. The constant stomping and slamming was incessant, from 6am to 11pm every single day. I can't count how many times we were woken up on a weekend at 7 am by their kids doing what sounds like jumping off of furniture and slamming their feet into the floor repeatedly. Even just relaxing at home trying to make dinner or watching something was just a constant background noise of feet slamming from kids jumping off furniture and running around. We tried speaking directly with the neighbors ("They're kids, we can't do anything!"), calling the noise complaint guards many times ("We can't really do anything, kids will be kids!"), and complaining to the front office multiple times and being told there is nothing they can do, and we have to make an official paper trail of every single time we called a complaint on them. Overall, not a happy place to live for me and the past couple months leading up to the move out I just dreaded coming home from work to that apartment. read more

Met up with Joe who was excellent....friendly, knowledgeable n courteous. We have here for over a year now...well kept grounds, nice spacious apartments. The office staff is very friendly and patient and maintenance work is done in a timely fashion. The only issues we have had : - a noisy neighbor but the staff is helping to resolve that. Let's see how it goes. - sometimes the pool has leaves and flies/bugs floating on the top. Not sure where they are coming from. I've lowered my review due to their unfair billing practices. Think twice about leasing here short term and don't be fooled by their "$500 deposit." From the looks of other reviews, you are basically forfeiting this amount at their discretion. The lease termination policy is also unfair. We had to end our lease early due to an unexpected move and the people in billing still managed to list extraneous "expenses" so that it would add up to an entire month's rent and your full deposit. If that's not a scam I don't know what is. The only saving grace to this place is their property manager Omar who has been gracious to us throughout this process. read more

If you have a dog and love it, don't move here. While they claim dog friendly, even the leasing office doesn't want dogs in there. Most of the people that live there also don't like or are afraid of dogs, keep in mind I have the most mellow french bullldog (we're not talking a big dog or hyper here). What's crazy is these people can more easily find apartments that don't allow dogs at all. This is also the only apartment complex I've lived at that even the maintenance people don't like dogs and also don't even acknowledge you as they drive by in their golf carts. Luckily I haven't had any theft issues but there have been a ton of mailbox break-ins and seem to get an email a month about it. Last but not least, they have trash pick-ups. The issue there is people don't know when it is and they leave trash outside their apartment for days sometimes. Nothing like coming home from work, day after day seeing your neighbor's trash right across from your doorway. Can't wait for my lease to come up! read more

We lived in Enclave for close to 5 years. We vacated Enclave early August and we still have not gotten our security deposit and our remaining balance for the rent after the prorated amount. I have been following up with the management very frequently and it's super hard to get my money back. THE WORST MANAGEMENT! I'm going to let everyone Know about their lack of interest in returning the people's money back in the social media, so tenants can be extra careful when dealing with the management. Can't stress enough - THE WORST MANAGEMENT!! read more

This place was an "ok" place to live but beware they will certainly hike your rent up considerably after your lease is up! After 1 year, they wanted to increase our rent by approx $450! They also average utilities based on overall usage so that also sucks! And they charge for basically everything. They make you pay $25 for a trash concierge service even if you are located near the trash bin. The management is the worst part about this place! We were accused of something we did not do (leave furniture in the trash are) and we're subsequently fined. When we asked for proof that we did such a thing, they flipped it on us that we needed to provide them proof of where our furniture is. I almost gave in until I came to my senses and demanded that they refund our $ unless they can prove that we actually left furniture. Needless to say it was a tiresome off putting experience. The emails were endless. It definitely left a bitter taste that management acted so poorly. We did not leave off on a good foot. Eventually we did get our money back. Steer clear of this place. There are way better places out there! read more

The Enclave is not only physically appealing to the eye with its beautifully maintained property. But it is also a safe place to call home.

We lived here for 2 years, got robbed **twice**. Management was *NOT* cooperative until we made a fuss about it in front of new lessees. (Steve, though flaky at times, was the nicest person there!) Apartments are teeny tiny for the money you'll be paying. We frequently saw the "neighbor kids" (from the trailer park behind the complex) walking through the fence to swim in one of the pools. (Lots of holes in that fence.) We drove through that neighborhood recently on our way to 237 and saw at least 6 cars with lime green spray paint on the windshields and on the doors of the cars. Parking is super-limited, don't expect your guests to find room to park. The speed bumps will ruin your car unless you drive a big SUV. While the washers and dryers were nice to have, I would have preferred them to be indoors rather than on the patio with unsecured doors. (Thieves stole stuff off our patio.) Already live there? Be prepared to shell out big bucks when you move out. We thoroughly cleaned the apartment on move out and still had to pay $300+. Kiss your initial deposit good bye. read more

Don't bother moving here if you're looking for a peaceful, relaxing place to call home. The walls here are paper thin, so you will ALWAYS hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing. Everything from walking around in the apartment above yours to what they're watching on TV next door. The management is also a joke. If you ever call them asking for help talking to said neighbors about the noise level ( I called after the 3rd day of them waking me up at 5am with their computer), they will do absolutely nothing about it. Also, they jack their rent prices way up after your first year here. They find tons of little reasons to enter your apartment, which makes me (and other residents) feel that our apartments are not secure, comfortable, private places to call home. More like a storage locker we're allowed to sleep in. The pipes also break quite often. I had to have the walls and floor in my kitchen replaced after a pipe burst 2 floors above me. A friend had pipes break in their apartment 5 times over the 2 years they lived there and were never offered any kind of compensation after the complex made their apartment unlivable for days with the carpet dryers and fans running 24/7. And don't get me started on their horrible fire alarm system that goes off all the time with an absolute earsplitting tone. Yes, it looks nice on the outside, there are pools (that never get used), and it's gated (when the gate works), but this is NO place to call home. read more

The place is okay and kind of old. But there is smell from the waste plant. The worst part of this complex are the management and people who work at the leasing office. I have not met more rude people then them. Thought it was just me but my roommate and other folks in that complex had the same opinion. They are also money suckers and liars. They had leaks in an apartment below us, and they tried to blame it on us and when the plumbers said it's not coming from our apartment only then they backed off. Also please don't forget to give back their stupid parking sticker otherwise they will charge $75. They charged $150 fee for mistake in account number and froze the online payment for 10months. Would never recommend this place. Update: As I mentioned these people are money suckers, they cut almost 70% of our deposit in cleaning fees. And after repeatedly confirming that deposit check will be issued on the primary contacts name, it still came in both our roommates name. l lived here during a 13-month lease that ended a few weeks ago, and my 2-star rating has been created by an awful move-out statement and a few issues with the complex's services. Let's start with the good things about my living experience: - Nicely maintained landscaping all around - Large apartment with fireplace and central A/C and heating - Great view from my balcony of the East Bay mountains Bad things: - Smoking is allowed in the balconies, and it drifted from my neighbor below me to my apartment daily, keeping me from opening my balcony doors at times; the smell was awful! - The security gate was broken for about 8 months! This amount of time is ridiculous! - The pools are not heated as they say online - Management offered me a renewed lease at 20% rent increase, who the heck has gotten a 20% increase in income lately? - Nothing fun to do around the area - with all due respect, The Enclave is made for families, and not for young 20 year-olds And to sum it up, my move-out statement said that I need to pay them $200+ for apartment cleaning when I already had it professionally cleaned at move out! Greedy management if you ask me. I'm trying to fix this, but if it doesn't happen, I will look into reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

If I wanted to live in the ghetto, I would have moved to East San Jose. This place is GHETTTTTTO. If parking is NOT an issue for you and things you sign on the lease are only followed when they feel like it, then this place is home to you. The broken gate (this is supposed to be a "gated community") has been broken and left open for almost 2 months. What are they waiting for??? My husband and I made the mistake of resigning the lease (because they lowered rent). Apparently, the management here only follows the lease when they pretty much feel like it. This place has a washer and dryer in every apartment. Thats the only good part about this place. Walls are really thin, you can hear the neighbors fight all the time and it sounds like they keep dropping a bowling ball on the floor. SVSP, the security they use for this place, is clueless. You would make a call about parking or noise at odd hours of the night and half the time they wouldnt get it even though the only way to reach them is through the dispatcher. I know this because I called to make a complaint about someone in my assigned parking spot and I waited 20 minutes until a security guard happened to pass through the garage. I asked him if he ever got a call about a parking issue, he said NO. NO ONE MADE A CALL. So here, you have assigned parking spaces in the underground garage. If someone else decides to park in your spot, you are pretty much SOL. Resident services told me they have to wait 3 days until they can tow it. HELLO!?!!! In the lease that we signed it stated that if a resident or its invitees or guest park in an unassigned area they may be towed without notice or warning. Leasing office has a girl working there that told me that I should just find parking out on the street and walk to my apartment and dont make it a big deal. I thought The Woods was annoying with their rules, but this place has rules that they dont even abide by, do you still want to live here? I dont. read more

I lived here when the apartments were newer and apparently the neighborhood was safer, but I want to say something about these apartments. I was not happy here. I could hear my neighbor above me PEEING. YES -- I could hear him peeing! I heard my neighbors constantly and it drove me absolutely crazy! I had to resort to wearing ear plugs just to sleep because the guy upstairs (I was on the first floor) was walking around at all hours of the night and like I said, I could even hear him in the bathroom. We outta here! We had to break our lease because we just bought a house. But I just wanted to take this time to right a review. Pros: I was about 5 min away from work The complex looks nice and clean from the outside Underground parking Cons: Holy crap, everything is so cheaply made in this apartment. The cabinets are made of fake wood or something. One of the bottoms of our drawers broke, so we couldn't use it anymore. Then there were cabinets right above the fridge, which we never used because no one could reach it. Sure you could reach it if you grabbed a stool, but how convenient is that? Our dishwasher was a POS and kept braking. The speedbumps. Good god, these were not bumps, these were mountains. I literally had to come to a complete halt each and every time I passed the 6 bumps to get to my tandem parking spot. Because I drive a bimmer, the car is low and will get scratched if you go at the slowest speed. Brake ins. There is a sketchy mobile home next door to us and a lot of the folks keep hopping the fence. My next door neighbors apt had been broken into, a car in the parking garage was broken into, when we had to park on the street because they were repaving the driveways, several cars were broken into, AND the gates to our gated community remain open. The inspection, so my husband was present when they were inspecting our apartment for our departure and they mention some bogus crap that we're going to have to pay for. I am so curious how little we'll get back from our security deposit. read more

Last week I had to go to the office to get a maintenance order. Nathaniel told me that it's much easier to get an order send through their online portal. I had no clue how to do that, he spend the time to set up my online profile and to teach me how to log in and how to place an order. He was so kind and helpful throughout the whole process. I have been at Enclave for the past several years. The location and access to the trail is perfect for me. The maintenance team has always been fantastic, prompt and friendly. I needed to switch apartment units at the beginning of the year, right in the midst of the worst of the pandemic and had the opportunity to interact a little more than usual with the current property manager and the leasing team. Piece of crap. The manager and employees tell lies all the time. They are extremely rude to Asians in particular . Also this property has dog poop all over and anybody with kids will have major problems with them running on the grass. The complex is built without any soundproofing and is not recommended for anyone who wants to have a normal life especially if you have kids. You will not be allowed to walk or run around or do anything without being sent notices. By the way my car was vandalized and the apartment did not care not even that they would see what they could do.. They are happy because of proximity to CIsco.. People stay away there are better places for less money Not recommended. Period. read more

I lived at the Enclave for almost 4 years and I absolutely loved my living experience there. My apartment was perfect and in the perfect location for me. I loved the the amenities, the location and most importantly the office staff. The maintenance staff was also amazing- my service requests were always completed in a timely manner. There is always abundant parking for guests, the gym is awesome and I loved being so close to the Guadalupe Trail, shopping and several restaurants. I was very sad when I had to move out and I would recommend the Enclave to anyone looking for an apartment home. read more

Took a visit to the enclave recently. Still very friendly staff the manager was kind and welcoming, facility's looks clean constantly being cleaned by staff. They have areas for pet lovers as-well. There pool area is never neglected even when the winter rolls around. Great atmosphere. read more

I haven't lived here, only visited a couple dozen times because my GF lives there. The apartments are nice and fairly spacious. They are clean and the unit my GF has has a washer/dryer on the balcony area. As with all apartments, noise from the unit above you is an issue. You can hear stomping. I have not been to their facilities (pool, tennis, etc) so I can't comment on those. Location is not ideal if you want to be near some shops/restaurants, as it is surrounded by business parks. Rivermark is a 5 min drive away so at least there are some restaurants and a grocery store around there now. The Enclave is also near a Light Rail Station, if you like spending twice the time on the train as it would take you to drive to whereever you were going. Word of caution: the speed 'bumps' are more like speed hills. They are really huge and are spaced about every 50 feet. I have to go over them at 0.25 mph or you will get awful noises from your suspension. To the Enclave Management: shave those mofo's down!!! read more

To be specific even though everyone there was great Kiara really was very helpful and patient even though im sure my family's questions would've made my head explode and i was just there to check out their new place...Also Stephanie and Joy were also were patient and helpful to my family while they also asked them a ton of questions...Thats tells me that they are professional and know their job...In Florida with all these communities and people willing to do anything just to get you to sign I felt immediately this place was not that and put the clients first....Glad my family found this place and now lives there.. Do to my dad being on social security, there were a lot of bridges to cross to try to get the place. And that's when JOE stepped in. Thru the lengthy process and paperwork, he made it feel like a breeze. He was kind , concerned and more then helpful. Customer service felt like family. Kept us up to date with the process.
