I can't recommend Mavis enough! Saal and Brian truly went above and beyond to help me. While I was…read morethere getting two new tires, they caught a major mistake that another shop had made by installing the wrong size tires on the front of my vehicle. Because of their attention to detail, I was able to go back to the dealership and have the issue corrected at no cost. I honestly would have never known if they hadn't caught it! Everyone was incredibly friendly, honest, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. As a woman, it can sometimes feel intimidating going to a mechanic because you worry about being taken advantage of, but I never felt that way here. They treated me with respect, explained everything clearly, and genuinely looked out for my best interest. It's hard to find people you can trust with your vehicle, but I absolutely trust this team. They've earned a customer for life, and I'll only be coming here from now on. Thank you, Saal and Brian, for your honesty and exceptional service!

I went to Mavis to have 4 new tires installed. When I gave my keys to the man, I asked him NOT to…read morereset my mirrors, seat position, radio stations etc. The power fight was on. How dare a woman tell him not to adjust things! He started arguing with me, claiming that his chest would be up against the steering wheel, even though he and I were the same height and he only had 10' to move my vehicle. It was hilarious. I finally walked away and sat to begin my wait, knowing the kindergarten arguments he was making would be fueled by any response I made. The correct response to ANYONE asking that cabin settings NOT be changed is "No problem." When I left to go home, all my mirrors had been changed, my radio station changed... Guess he showed me. A day later, I felt I had paid more than I expected to pay. Sure enough, although the stem valves were included in my package, he charged me $10 per tire for stem valves, $40 extra. This guy just could NOT have a woman telling him what to do, so he stuck it to me. I drove back and was extremely gracious, asking him if a mistake had been made, pointing out what was included in my package then the $40 extra I was charged. He carefully scanned the invoice and finally said, "Yes. It was a mistake." I replied that everybody makes mistakes, knowing this guy wanted me to know he was the boss and I had no right to tell him what to do. There was another employee witnessing this exchange. I wonder if he was a superior of the employee who was so hell - bent on screwing me because I dared to instruct him to leave my cabin settings untouched. If you are a woman, beware, stand up for yourself, then carefully check your invoice for "mistakes" and over charges. Better yet, go elsewhere. I am hoping the wheels and tires were installed properly and that this man's insecurity does not put me in danger. Can't be sure.

Spring is here and we are now seeing the damage left by winter. Leaky roofs, flooded basements and…read moremessed up cars. The latter for me. I wanted to write this short review as a follow up on the great service provided by Tom & son's at their great establishment. So, I went into Philly a few weeks before the big snow storm and possibly hit a speed bump, and possibly caught some air with a not so smooth landing. Two weeks later we had the biggest storm of the year. I had to leave my home and I drove on a street near my home that hadn't been plowed yet. After that I started hearing a scratching sound every time I left my driveway and occasionally on the road. When I checked I saw I had dented a panel that covers the front end of my car. I decided to head to Tom's one day while doing some errands to see if he could take care of it. Just a pop-in. I told what had happened and he could actually see it from just looking under, so he can let me know when to bring it in and all that. He figured the part and asked if I had bought it already cus I did bring him my fog light before. He remembered. So I told him no, he'd have to order it. He said to bring it in and they'd use the lift. In my head I was like, really now?! Cool! A young man I believe his son, asked for my keys and drove it in and put it on the lift. He said the damage was minimal and nothing else seamed to be at all. He took out the panel and reworked it back to normal. The whole experience was only about 20 min and the cool part was they let me stay inside while doing it! They brought the car down and asked Tom "How much I owe'ya?" He said "Nah, don't worry about it." I said really? Let me at least give you something for lunch or something for you guys. And he said you're good don't worry about it. I thanked him with a firm handshake and hug and thanked his son as well and went about my day. It was a minor thing but it had a world of difference to me, not only that he didn't charge but just giving that feeling of how my fellow man could help me out in a time of need. I was very relieved because had that not been fixed other issues could arise (Think of Newman when he hit that sewing machine on the highway) that's what I was worried about. Hahaha! This business is truly in my heart and should be in yours too, so stop in, they are local! I said I'd be visiting them again, and I was riiight! :)
