This is the escape room(s) to beat! The setup and attention to detail was amazing and really makes you invest in the games. We did the heist first which wow that was super hard. Would not recommend for beginners! We did not escape (lol) so immediately did the gold rush after. That was soooo fun! I wish they had more rooms I would honestly do them all. Hate that it's inside the mall bc it's difficult to locate at first, they do provide very detailed instructions on their confirmation email. Getting in and out after the mall closes is kind of a pain. The staff were all really nice and had a good sense of humor. I cannot say enough good things about this place!! We do a lot of escape rooms and this place was BY FAR the best company we've ever tried! We loved it so much we went two times in one day (which gets you a 40% off on the second go-round btw). We tried The Heist and Prison Break with only the two of us and it was still a great experience. Everyone who works there seems like they love their job. Sage, Thomas, and Duncan are the ones I remember by name. They were funny, personable and knowledgeable. The games are super well designed and a perfect balance of challenging, fun, and creative. The Escape Game is by far my favorite Escape Game company. The fee per person initially seemed high to me, but is completely worth it and I've since gladly paid it multiple times. If you're planning on playing more than one game, considering hitting up the 20% discount offered at the end of your game to play again (does not need to be the same day). We did The Heist and Prison Break in this location. First of all, my favorite part of this location is their staff and their attentive game masters - they are incredible! The set for The Heist was really awesome, but the first room is a little small to play with a large group. I also thought The Heist had a lot of 'logic' puzzles, which if that isn't your thing, made it more difficult to play along. Prison Break has a middle room that again, is a little small for a large group. But, this was hands down my favorite game I've ever played. We have been to several of these escape rooms and they're all fun and different. However we all felt the story and the codes were unique and well thought out so we enjoyed it immensely. We did the prison escape which was cool but pretty close quarters. I would only suggest on the booking site you let folks know the difficulty of each course so you know the level of challenge. Also the directions would be better if you gave landmarks like "park near entrance 5". As it was we drove the mall trying to the address entrance. Good times. We will be back. read more

It's called, Escape game Dallas, but it's actually in Grapevine at the Grapevine Mills mall. I went with a group of 5 people. We had so much fun!!! We did the room titled: The Heist. The setting was an art gallery. It was very challenging, the bigger the group the better chance of getting out!! We almost got out but ran out of time. This was my first escape room experience and now I'm excited to go find more escape rooms! Employees were knowledgeable, helpful, and fun! It's $31 per person which is a little expensive because I have seen other escape rooms on Groupon for cheaper. My friend wanted to come here for his birthday and I must admit it was pretty fun. I'm not usually big on escape rooms, but this one was a blast. I came here on a Thursday for the weekday special. Upon arrival, I checked in via the computer on the side and signed waivers and whatnots. We were on a 8-persons team doing a challenge. We were divvied up into two groups and were given an hour to complete the challenge. I like that we had to communicate, especially initially to be successful. I personally think 8 people is a lot for a challenge this size. It left some of us idle a lot of the time, but that's not their fault. Some of the puzzles were unique and required ingenuity to figure out. Some were simple. We were given 3 hints and each hint after was going to result in a penalty of 3 minutes from our 60 minutes. We used up our 3 hints and refused to use any more. However, they chimed in every so often as we approached the end of our time and gave us freebies. I personally didn't like that as I believe in getting there myself or not getting there at all. After completing the challenge, we were given the option to purchase the tees for 10 dollars. Was my first escape room experience and to be honest it was very alright, I really loved the service there but I really wish I had brought more people. I didnt have a terrible time during the escape room, but I had 1 other friend and we were matched with a group of 6. In my personal opinion, I would prefer to have people you know, so defenitely make sure you plan ahead and get a couple friends to go. Not much else to say, I really enjoyed the escape room experience. Conclusion: pretty great place but you should definitely consider bringing at least 5 or more friends withyou when you go, andalways make sure to plan ahead with these rooms. read more

Had a great time at this place! We decided to go after 10 pm which gave us a discount, and when we got there the person at the front desk was very kind and funny. Anna was our guide to the Gold Rush, she was very patient and nice and extremely helpful during the room. Having done a couple escape rooms before I wasn't expecting as much content as there was. We ended up using all our time there and a little more, but we were super impressed with how in depth the puzzles are and how many locks we had to go through. Top Notch Escape Room chain. My wife and I first attended The Escape Game Chicago and absolutely loved it. They have a great teaching program, the puzzles are well thought-out and the rooms are well-decorated. My only complaint is a general Escape Rook complaint. We played with a few random individuals because we had 6 in our party, which left two spots open. I really think this should be a private room when you have 5 or greater in the Escape Room, oh well. First time visiting an escape room activity. At the recommendation of the very helpful staff we booked the Heist theme. I was a little unsure of this type of event since the cost seemed a little pricey per person. We had a group of 5 and the event held 8 people. You don't have the ability to make sure that your group are the only people doing the room(s) if you don't have the full 8 people to book the room solid. We were joined by 2 people that we did not know prior to the game. The game play and theme were great, we really had a great time and the quality and attention to detail in the room(s) were great. You could tell that some of the props were getting a bit worn but I believe that is very common with any of these venues due to the type of activity that is needed to complete the puzzles. If you haven never tried an escape room I would definitely recommend The Escape Game. I'm afraid to say that we may be hooked and are looking forward to trying another theme at this location. The Heist: This room had some sneaky things we figured out right away and some obvious things we completely missed. Of course, there were those we had to figure out along the way. No matter what - it was fun. Our group all had things to do (at most points) and were all able to contribute to us getting out successfully. This was a great evening out with the group and our second experience at this location (which was also great). Theme:In some ways, this was a great theme - then towards the end I just got confused how things fit in. However, nothing detracted from the experience in the moment, just some things afterwards when I thought back on it. Quality:Very well put together from start to finish. Difficulty:This was a pretty even mix of things, and we had a good group for this room because there is something for everyone. Some surprises for sure that we didn't expect that made things tricky, but very well done. Fun:I had a blast in this rooms - the puzzles were great and the surprises were fantastic. ======== Gold Rush: This was an interesting experience from start to finish. We had a group of eight - 4 couples who didn't know each other going in AND with language differences. Thankfully, this ended up being a good group and we all understood each other enough to get through the puzzles. Despite some of the issues noted below, we had a good time and were able to make it out in time. Theme:Very neat - so many things put together some very good spaces, and the puzzles go great with the theme. Quality:A couple of these puzzles just didn't work for us - we had to use a clue to get an answer to one because it didn't work, and another came apart after we'd solved it and made a mess. Difficulty:Generally, the puzzles were pretty easy once you figured out what did what. Fun:This was a good time once we got along the right track.
