The rental rate is reasonable and the time allotment is generous. I find the management to be professional, gracious and very accommodating.

The courtyard was beautiful and goes right into the Meeting House so I was able to have a bagpiper play in the courtyard as I walked down the aisle. The price for the wedding was incredible, we paid for an extra hour, the use of the full kitchen, (which is huge and industrial), we also paid to set up the night before and for them to clean up. With all the extra requests we had and all the extra time it was still incredibly affordable. I loved that I didn't have to choose a venue that made me use their baker and caterer. We chose our food and our favorite bakery. We were able to buy beer and wine cheaply and serve it via bartender. We saved heaps of money doing the wedding here and people loved the history that resonates from this place. You don't have to be a Quaker, Quaker's are incredibly accepting of everyone and this makes it great if you have a lot of guests that are different religions, or do not have religion. Everyone felt comfortable and welcome. Thanks again to the Burlington Meetinghouse, it meant a lot to us. Will post pictures of our set-up when our photographer gets them to us!

After a few months of looking for wedding venues and being absolutely overwhelmed with the amount…read moreof generic catering halls that weren't our style, we accidentally came across the community room at Kings Grant. It's not specifically for weddings (it was set up for a Sweet 16 birthday party when we went to see it for the first time), but it ended up being the perfect place for our wedding reception. Kings Grant itself is a community nestled in the woods by a beautiful lake in Marlton not far from Route 73. There're homes there as well as a small shopping plaza where we also ended up finding our flower vendor. The community room was originally only for use by people who lived in the community, but over the past few years has been opened up for anyone to use. Built at the edge of a tree-lined lake, the views we knew our guests would have during an October ceremony pretty much convinced us that this was the place for us. One wall of the room is made up entirely of glass windows, which allowed our guests to see that beautiful lake, and there's also a deck that guests can go out on to take a break from the partying inside. The dance floor wasn't the biggest, which suited our party just fine, and in the middle of it there's a lovely fireplace. The only con with the space is that large air conditioning ductwork that slightly separates the room, but the other pros were far more important to us. Once we knew that this was the place to have our wedding reception, Darlene here helped us plan a lot of the finer details. For example, we ended up going with Anthony Michael's, the caterer that she recommended. She only works a few days a week, but when she's available she was happy to answer any questions we had about our day. She has a very assertive attitude about what will and won't work in the space, having done this for twenty years, but we liked that, since we knew she was speaking from years of experience. Overall, we were so happy to have this be the venue for our wedding reception. The October trees looked amazing for our outdoor ceremony at the gazebo, the sun setting over the lake later in the evening was beautiful, and the space worked very well for our guests (of which there were about 110). We couldn't have asked for a space that was more our style.

From sitting rooms to the library, there are books and fireplaces all around! The chef was incredible! Every meal was better than the last. The other staff on site provided nature walks and helped us with whatever we needed! The grounds were beautiful with tons of history! There are farm animals, a homeschooling program on site but no matter what it was nice to walk around. It was a great experience and a place I'll remember for another event!

I attended a wedding here recently. The grounds were beautiful but beyond that it was not very…read moregood. Cocktail hour consisted of appetizers being served by staff walking around. Many of them you could buy in Costco. Cauliflower mac&cheese. The alcohol is provided by the bride and groom, so you can't fault the venue if they couldn't make a specialty drink for you. They are responsible for keeping the beer cold though, and they couldn't even do that. I had the very small 3 oz fillet for my dinner and it was completely overdone. No pink at all! I asked if they could bring me another one out. They said there are no extras and that they do not serve made to order steak. Really?? Who screws fillets up? It rained so they closed the tent up. It was like being in a sauna. All the young men took their ties off and unbuttoned their shirts. How do you not have AC?? At the end of the evening when the 2 bartenders were trying to keep up with making drinks and getting the beer on ice, I overheard the one say that this group is brutal. It's ok to think that but you should probably keep your thoughts to yourself so guests don't hear you. They actually closed the bar up early.

They decorated in her wedding colors on all three floors of the event space, included event-specific decorations (e.g., bride-to-be signs), provided a wealth of food (for which we got to take home leftovers), checked coats, and even had an appropriate playlist going on a good sound system. They even provided a gift to the guest of honor. The great: The food was awesome -- salad, meatballs, empanadas, egg rolls, pasta salad...the list goes on. They were ready on time for the party. The staff was incredibly accommodating. And again, the place is pristinely laid out and decorated for the event. The good: the music was just right, all about wedding, love, and marriage but at times a bit too loud to carry on a conversation. No worries, staff were happy to adjust as requested. Only the first floor is accessible, so folks in wheelchairs or who can't do stairs will have to stay on the first floor. Room for improvement: No contract was provided at the time of deposit. This would've been helpful because payment terms are non-standard (in my experience) with final payment due well in advance of the event.

Breaking news: this place does Bridal Showers…read more My mom had rented this place out for my sister's sweet 16 back in the day, and I used to go to Zumba here, but I never considered it for a more formal sit down event. This weekend, I discovered another hidden gem for hosting Bridal Showers, which as many of you know, has become about 1/3 of my social calendar these days (the other 2/3 being weddings and bachelorette parties, naturally). Space -It's a large space with a parking lot in the back. Dark red curtains, and a wooden floor. There were maybe 6 tables of 10 organized in a semi circle in the middle of the room, with some tables for gifts at the front and a throne for the bride, and three large tables in the back for food. -The entrance is by the parking lot, not the street, so signs may need to be put up for guests unfamiliar with this. -A bar area was set up with sodas and lemonade. I think the hosts can bring their own alcohol if they want (but it's not provided by the venue, so unclear if they'd serve it or if it would be a self serve situation). Food -Food was catered by the venue and very good- simple and delicious pasta salad, potato salad, penne a la vodka, caesar salad, and make your own sandwich situation with turkey, ham, corned beef, roast beef, and salami, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. -Dessert was delicious too-mini brownie looking things that were actually (suprise!) chocolate mousse cups, mini cheesecake bites, profiteroles. Great spot to host an event! This particular one was 12 to 4, with a half hour alotted for cleanup before and after.

We drove (parking is free with your ticket!), but I've heard it's not difficult to get here via public transit from NYC. Buy your tickets ahead of time! They are tied to specific timed entries and can completely sell out. General admission is $25 per person, but they do offer discounts for students, seniors, and other groups. Also, if you go during the summer, they run a great promo where tickets are only $5 on Fridays from 5 PM until closing. Even as someone who doesn't know much about art or sculpture, I had an absolute blast walking around the beautifully maintained grounds. There is a good amount to see, and some of the structures are truly massive in size. It's a perfect activity whether you're with loved ones, friends, or just going solo. They also have a restaurant and a cafe right on the grounds if you want to grab a bite. We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be happy to come back again

It's truly picturesque. As a guest I'm not 100% sure of the cost etc. or any behind the scenes dilemmas that may have arose however, the doors leading to the ceremony which started at 6 were closed promptly; so timeliness is a must. Champagne awaited at the main entry of Cocktail hour which was superb. There was a plethora of choices to satisfy any diet including open bar. The main dining area was breathtaking. I'm not sure if the bride booked an outside decorator but everything was spectacular. With everything being so wonderful, I was disappointed by the main dish. I had the steak and potatoes with asparagus and my date had the Salmon. We both agreed dinner was underwhelming. Overall would definitely recommend the space.

Inside is a very modern nicely decorated hall. It's also very clean. The staff were wonderful, they kept the food hot, the bar tender was all smiles and very upbeat, and I never noticed a speck of unattended empty dishes/cups. As the wait staff promptly cleared our plates, they kept the buffet food line hot and neat, the cakes were to die for! I mean they should be on one of those reality television shows about cake battles! I'm certain the organizer of this party I attended will have more parties here. This place is in a great location with a private lot. We had over 100 people and the bathrooms stayed fully stocked/clean. This staff was so excellent that when the party was over and the lights were turned back on, the place was already sparking clean. (we weren't a messy group but you'd think we all just arrived!) We rented the hall from 7 to 12 so you are able to have late parties here. This would also be a great option for weddings, baby showers, corporate seminars, reunions, meetings, holiday parties, the list is endless. These people truly know how to work a space. Who knew this nice little place was nestled in the little town of Maple Shade. (This place is literally 5 minutes from the Betsey Ross bridge.)
