I came in as a walk in, never having been to this place before. I was seen very quickly, and the barber who worked with me, Brayden, was so nice, professional, and compassionate. I felt embarrassed because my hair was greasy and I didn't get a chance to wash it beforehand, but Brayden reassured me it was not embarrassing and I didn't need to worry. I wasn't even going to write this but I thought the kid wouldn't have learned anything. I called in at 2:23pm and they answered and said Danny can take me in at 3. I get there at 2:50pm and Danny was finishing up his customers haircut. He comes up to me shortly after and says I can't take you right now I'm going to take my lunch but my homie Nelson can take you. Kinda weird to take a lunch but it's cool I just wanted to get a haircut. Choppin it up with Nelson and I tell him that I wanted a 3 1/2 on top and a medium-high bald fade. Minutes passes by and his next client comes in and he feels rushed to do my hair, he kept telling his homie like ay I'm almost done, did you want a drink, my bad bro for waiting I'll get to you soon. Nelson passed the mirror to me shortly after and asks how my line up was to my liking and I was being courteous and telling him it's going well "so far". He continues to cut my hair for a few minutes then he then passes the mirror back again. I told him that the haircut wasn't what I asked for and he apologized that he couldn't finish up the haircut or fix what I was pointing out. He states that he needs to cut his next clients hair since he was waiting (probably waiting like 10 minutes) I'm still being civilized, cracking jokes since I figured I just needed to find another barber down the street to fix my hair. I knew in my mind that it wasn't the right day to get my haircut there. I pay the kid and while I was leaving I looked at Danny and said see you later and he kinda turned and had a smirk on his face and he told me to have a nice day. Im still in the parking lot then decided to call and talk to Nelson to see if he can finish up my hair cut after he cuts his homies hair. He said nah I can't do that my bad bro then hangs up. All in all money isn't an issue for me since I knew that the kid is young and needs to make money but a review like this forever gets imprinted. I just hope he learns and the "mentors" do something about this. If only Danny stepped up this could've been prevented. I ended going to another barber shop and they fixed my haircut, even the barber was surprised when I told him what I originally asked. Bad place for a haircut? it's my first time, so I can't say. I would recommend scheduling an appointment, but it's not required. Haircut was excellent, the time spent cutting my hair was average. Was a cool and chill environment and it felt nice. I came in without an appointment and while they still were able to help me out, it was fairly busy when I arrived and had to wait an hour before someone was available. Not blaming them entirely, it's definitely my fault for not scheduling an appointment, but I was told that it would be around a 30 minute wait and it seemed like the barbers were avoiding to deal with the unexpected customer. I understand how much of a hassle this is for barbers though so I gave my barber a decent tip cause he did a good job, but from what I saw they all looked very skilled and capable of handling whatever type of haircut asked for. read more

So first time visiting. Called in to request the Gold level haircut, beard, and shave. Made sure to ask for someone who could do this service. Asked for hot towel straight razer shave too. Appt made. Arrive a few minutes early and was given to Nelson. Polite guy, did an OK job and price was not bad. Problem was that the person who took my call didn't communicate to the right person to assign my appointment, as Nelson doesn't do the "Gold" level cuts. My shave, while a "hot towel" one, didn't use a straight razon and instead used an electric trimmer leaving a lot stubble that I'll have to get with shave cream and a razer. Plus foil trimmer give me bumps... One last comment, while the shop's vibe was friendly, the staff needs to focus much more on clients and not talk so much amongst themselves. I've been to many places over the years, and this simple thing is a really good indicator of how good the cut is going to be. I may try again, but will make sure to get the right person for the service I asked for. read more

I've came here at least 3x to get my son's haircut. He's African American with very thick hair. I always get him a mid fade with a 2 on top(this time it was a 1.5). The barbers' name was Lamonica & Eric. I think Lamonica was training, Eric came over and assisted him on the cut throughout the time my son was in his chair. He took his time with it which I appreciated. Eric actually did my son's hairline(I'm very very picky about that). The cut came out very nice I was so pleased. I have left other shops crying silently(yea I'm sensitive about my son's haircuts!!). He had a birthday celebration for the day and he looks absolutely sharp! I highly recommend booking an appointment. There is lots of talent here. I will be honest, Lamonica seems kinda nervous but like I said the start & finish of the cut was straight, he did it good. First of all, yes they give good haircuts. You ask for something and you get what you want, no deep lines, no uneven sides, good haircuts all around. They also don't take longer than needed, I know I've had barbers in the past spend maybe half my haircut time on one side because they can't get it right. Might be a good haircut but it would involve sitting in a chair for a while. Now, environment. Small place, very clean and they always have some good music or movie on (rap, the times I've been there). They have a waiting area if you don't have an appointment (appointments preferred) and a little drink bar with sodas, water, energy drinks. Now they're not very talkative with the customers from what I've noticed but that might take time, they seem like a new shop but I'm there on Sundays to sit and chill while I get a haircut so I'm cool with it. Price is a little steep, but you get what you pay for. read more

I went in for my first haircut today and was really impressed. Shop is clean and well kept with adequate seating up front. They do take walk-ins, but they're pretty busy so I recommend making an appointment. You can book straight through Yelp. Haircuts are $30.00, which might seem a bit pricy, but it's not unreasonable for a quality fade and you do get what you pay for. I showed up just in time for my appointment and my barber was ready to go. She (not sure her name) is experienced, friendly, and did a really great job. Atmosphere is relaxed and there's a TV to keep you entertained while you get your hair done. They don't take cards, so be sure to bring cash or a payment app - Zelle, Venmo, Apple pay all work. I went for a normal haircut, my barber I got was extremely heavy handed and ended up leaving some marks on my head that are still sore 2 days later. Not only was the haircut uncomfortable....my haircut was done very poor. I was facing away from the mirror so I couldn't see what he was doing and when he showed me my haircut I was extremely disappointed. I didn't get what I asked for and also he white walled around my ears very very bad leaving me self conscious of my haircut. Im going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he was a new barber but man that was not a good experience. Sitting their watching everyone else it's evident that they all take their time to do a great job with pride in their work. It's an enjoyable spot to kick it at with music to listen to while you wait.
